Unfortunately, the only way you can really check if you’ve lit them all is to backtrack and count. I’ve seen that this actually does happen to a few people, so don’t feel bad. ๐
Thats what all the walkthroughs online says is supposed to happen. For some reason its not working for me. I have been having lots of fun with this game but Im at a dead end here. I really need some help. I’m too far to start the game over (disc 3).

ok, I’ll try this. Do you have a list of witch candle need to be lit? Thanks.
Seriously, I’d go into detail and post the steps myself, but it’s getting late and stuff, so refer to this site (http://na.square-enix.com/strategy/FF9/), and you’ll be out of Desert Palace in no time.
It’s only fair, seeing as how people paid $12.99/$18.95 plus tax for basically a guide to a guide.
Anyway, it’s good to know that it’s still around for those who have that guide and are able to find it. Here’sa post (Thread 31186) I made a back in response to a query about that guide. Wasn’t the first time that stupid thing has been discussed within this section either. As you can see, at the time, I was definitely under the impression that section of the site was gone gone gone.
A glitch? First time I’ve heard about that.
I haven’t spent much time with Tetra Master to begin with, because I always viewed it as a lackluster version of Triple Triad. On the bright side, at least the music was nicer!

You were right. Thank you friend.
The problem i had my 1st time here, was that i only had 2 magic users.
And does it use alot of mp?
It only costs 22 MP to use, not bad at all. You can probably get through most if not all of the castle without using it up. And if not, there is a moogle you can rest up at.
