Final Fantasy Melody XIII

Looks as though Square will be announcing the next FF13 game at TGS 2007 (http://www.n4g.com/events_tgs2007/News-67904.aspx)

Let us discuss.

Will it never end? How many spin-offs is that? BEFORE IT IS EVEN RELEASED.

From what I originally understood, there’s going to be about 6 FF13 games in all. Don’t know if this is official yet.

Look at the font of the title and the picture in the title, I highly doubt that’s real! It’s not the same artists as usual, I believe this is fake. It seems like an annoying joke.

I pretty much agree with you. Not very consistent with the other FF logos. It does in fact look like the same artist, Yoshitaka Amano, however this logo uses the actual art and not a high contrast mono-tone color.

Mono-tone??? hum… maybe you should check the logo of FFXIII. It uses many colors and is unlike most logos that came before. Just like this one above.

I don’t say this is the real thing or anything. But it doesn’t really look like a fake logo to me.

Is this for real? I mean, it’s what, the 4th XIII title? It’s getting rediculous.

Yea I’m probably 99% sure that this is fake. Look at the picture on the logo, it’s ridiculously creepy, and Square Enix would never put that creepy picture as a logo. The drawing doesn’t look too dissimilar to Yoshitako Amano’s work but it’s really strange. There’s a red trim on the font of the title also.

wouldn’t the logo be drawn by Tetsuya? it doesn’t look like his work. it’s too minimal.

Maybe it’s a design for the ff13 soundtrack. because it says melody.

Yoshitako Amano draws all or almost all Final Fantasy logos. Tetsuya Nomura works on character design for many FF games, plus some other stuff. Tetsuya is also the leader of the Kingdom Hearts series. He’s big time now! 🙂

Oh God, it’s Ultima VII all over again. You know what happened to the Ultima Series after a crap load of Ultima VII games instead of one? There wasn’t an Ultima VIII that’s what happened. Every Ultima Game from then on out was a spin-off, ultimately coalescing into into an MMO… Well FF’s already got the damned MMO. So this is to be the fate of Final Fantasy. Every game from here on out will be Final Fantasy XIII from the looks of it. Just Spinoff, after Spinoff, after Spinoff. And in the year 2030 when FFXIII-13 is coming out, people are going to be asking, "When’s FFXIV coming out?" It’s like FFXI, it’s still popular to this day, and yet people have forgotten it is part of the FF series. You have FFX, and FFXII is the next one in people’s minds. Well it’s shaping to look like FFX, FFXII, and FFXIV are just going to be directly consecutive in the minds of fans. I mean they’ve got a good thing going here with FFXIII… but if they overdo it, they’re basically going to have Highlander 2… that’s right, Highlander Fucking 2. And if you don’t know what I mean by that, tough cookies.

You know what…. I’m going to do the same thing I did regarding FFXII before it came out and back whenthe rumors were flying around like overfiend jizz. I’m going to call it like I see it. As far as I’m concerned FFXIII doesn’t exist yet. Until I can see something solid that I can actually pin down and call FFXIII, I’m just going to referr to it as Ultima VII vs. Highlander 2.
