*ff dating sim* what a crazy idea

ok don’t flame me cause i’m not some crazy weird person but i had this crazy idea what would a final fantasy dating sim be like. i mean you hear all these fanboys(and girls) saying how much they love rinoa,tidus,squall,selphie,tifa,quistis,rikku,pain e,penelo,ashe,vaan whoever.
so that means it wouldn’t be completely a failure right. i mean i guess they would do one for each gender and you could have you pick of the favorite ff characters.
i know its pretty stupid right. But it just kinda appeared in my head one day while i was playing ff x-2 maybe cause not even the guys in that game like to wear too much clothes

FF…. Has.. Something… Something far more than that. To me making a FF dating Sim would be foolish, It couldn`t belong to the true FF name, dating sim games shouldn`t be the thing that FF should become… READ THIS TETSUYA!

A RPG dating sim isn’t as odd as one might think. There was a RPG game for the playstation called Thousand Arms where you main source of income and stuff came from girls that you attempted to date and stuff. They could try something like that if they wanted to and it could work. The problem is it would have to be a new cast of characters, not a mixing of the old ff games. oh well.

Crazy, or not, I still don`t like it… It`s my opinion, and even if they ever think to make something like that, I hope it won`t happen soon, cause S-E has too many projects on their shoulders already!

Persona 3 has some dating sim aspects to it I believe. This idea could work. Try to develop it yourself in C# or Java or Flash I guess. Go for it! 🙂

Tbh, I do think it’s a pretty silly idea. But then again no sillier than the ideas for some of the Sims games already out lol. 😉

Haha oh Lord, you mean so that then we’d have even more FFVII spin-offs? I have to agree: the Sephiroth 3D shooter, the Cloud & Aeris dating game, the Red & Cait’s puzzle game all sound great and I could give you a longer list of games that would sell just because they would have FFVII in the title but I won’t because I don’t want anyone stealing my ideas!

I have nothing against you (not yet anyways) and I have no idea what your ideas are (not interested either, if you’re wondering), but at this point, I am damn glad that the first thing SE does to fan-submitted ideas is use them in order to save money on tissues and toilet paper.

Um…well, first of all. The reason they don’t take any fan-submitted ideas is because of legal issues, legal junk, etc. Oh, and when someone sends them something for an idea for a game, they don’t even look at it, to even get a word into the SE company, you’d have to work there.

Would be interesting to see that day, but I cant see it anytime soon. Too much paper work, trust issues… source code. They dont want to risk giving that much control to the public domain. I’m completely for fan submissions, if fans can actually produce quality work capable of bearing the Squaresoft name. Talk is great, but where are the results? Besides that leads to my next point, who is capable of producing work capable of bearing the Squaresoft name? Excuse me, Square Enix. Also, they receive letters of this sort all the time. Ideas, petitions to make x game sequel, petition for remake, etc. They really don’t have time to sift through it all, and I’m willing to bet they have a good friend who takes care of over half of those submissions.

Back on subject, I don’t really see a Final Fantasy dating sim becoming a commercial hit. It’s more of a filler release, or something they would give away as publicity in a Japanese magazine. Doesn’t really appeal to FF fans on a large scale. I see this game as more of a cult release, or underground favorite. I also can’t see it on a console.

I support this idea like the training bra supporting two ample breasts.
