I am a big fan of Final Fantasy music, specially Nobuo Uematsu music
It is a shame that he is not on FF Team anymore to make me travel in all your lovely songs.
Recently I discover that Blue Dragon is one of his jobs
The work is good?
Also, I would like to know anymore works of this composer that are not Final Fantasy.
Thanks and bye.
My absolute favorite track from the game is Eternity (feat. Ian Gillan). It’s the boss battle theme, and it’s probably one of the best boss themes I’ve heard in a very long time (maybe since Battle With the Four Fiends/Decisive Battle [FFIV]). It has the lead singer from Deep Purple (Smoke on the Water, Highway Star, anyone?) singing rather nonsensical lyrics, but never fails to get me pumped. In fact, when playing, I look forward to boss battles just to hear the song, and yes, it’s on my iPod. I would say that none of the tracks from the game are bad, but at the same time, it isn’t the best work he’s done. I think you ought to check it out, if only for Eternity. Mecha-Robo Corps is another track I enjoyed, as far as the music that plays while you’re dungeon crawling.
His other works may have better songs, but in sheer number of good ones versus bad ones, this one ranks as one of his tops.
Lost Odyssey though…that’s sounding like it could be his best work yet. The battle theme of that game is the best I have ever heard in any game.
Hmm, I didn’t notice this at all, but I quess that’s just a matter of taste.
In any case, I liked this OST for the most part, but I wouldn’t buy an XBOX360 just for this game.
Zola’s theme was fantastic, probably one of my favorite pieces of his since Rose of May. Same with Smiling Face, Land of Happiness, and Waterside. Other songs perfectly fit the mood of the game, like the themes inside the flying fortress, and the Devee village, and the underwater caverns, not to mention the normal fight theme.
Eternity and Bad Bat But make me want to smash things, though… ๐
I think people knock this soundtrack because the game itself is getting knocked pretty hard. But that being said, I think he made a soundtrack that fit the game just fine.

Near the top in this thread, CD1 definitely works, I’m assuming CD2 does as well.
