Well I can’t twist your arm into getting a PS3. If its not your bag then ok. No point in spending at least $400 on a system you ain’t gonna like. Congrats! Be sure to get Bioshock. I hear that kicks ass and I’ve been wanting to play it myself. You’ll also have Devil May Cry 4 to look forward to next year and Unreal Tournament III. What else do you plan on getting or what else did you get for it? And did you get the Elite or the other one?

Also, I used to hate FPS except for Metroid Prime 1 and 2. But Resistance: Fall of Man changed things since it was the first next-gen FPS I’ve played. Anything last-gen was giving me head aches. But now I’m looking forward to UTIII, Killzone 2 and Lost Planet. But not everything on 360 is FPS, and since you’re into sports then you should be fine with a 360. I don’t know why, but I also want to play Viva Pinata. I might have to get that one for Windows.
But ultimately my #1 reason for getting a PS3 was for Final Fantasy XIII and Versus XIII. Along the way I’ve ended up discovering what are now some of my fav games of all time – Heavenly Sword, Ratchet and Clank Future, Uncharted: Drake’s Fortune, Resistance and Folklore. All good stuff.

I played Metroid Prime and didn’t enjoy it.
FPS just isn’t my cup of tea and anything that resembles a FPS isn’t something I’ll like, even if it is some game that’s supposed to be "REALLY SUPER GOOD".
I just can’t stand a FPS. JUST MY PERSONAL PREFERENCE.
Personally the names of games I just added to my last post alone are worth getting a PS3. But thats just me. Only RPG you really have on PS3 is Oblivion. I also named Folklore which is more of an action RPG meets Alice in Wonderland. Pretty cool game, I just don’t like the cut scenes between game play. But still very fun to play.

I seriously doubt the 360’s ability to last in the geek hole tho. It has a bad history of overheating, and boy, it’s been extra hot here in the tropics lately. And my air conditioning isn’t helping much (could get at most somewhere near 78.8*F/26*C with air conditioning at best on a typical day, if I sit in front of said air conditioner- everywhere else in the room isn’t anywhere as cold. That’s pretty much where my gaming rig is, too, because it runs hot due to the SLI/PhysX/X-Fi setup).
Or maybe because I usually have 2-3 computers running at one given time.
I thought DMC4 was PS3 exclusive…Sony. Now I can’t be like "hey man. there is always that DMC4 exclusive." =[
