Request: Kanon Music

Hello,

This is my first post and subsequently, first request here, I apologize if this is not the correct format..

Having recently finished watching both the Original Kanon and the newer Kanon 2006 remake, I’ve been in a Kanon mood and have been searching for the albums for it. Unfortunately it appears I’m about a decade too late in getting to some of these songs lol.

I found this wiki entry (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_Kanon_soundtracks) and I’m referring to it to systematically grab every Kanon album I can find at the highest quality possible (currently 320kbps MP3, although FLACs are fine too.)

I have found a few of them so far, and this site has helped a bunch too especially with the 320kbps versions for the Anemoscope album. There are a few left that I cannot seem to find though, and I would like some help if possible.

Of the soundtracks listed on that wiki page, I am completely missing–nothing now, I managed to find the ones I was completely missing. However, I’m still in search of better quality versions of the "Orgel de Kiku TV Animation Han Kanon Sakuhin Shu".

If anyone has or knows where to find either the 320kbps MP3s or the FLACs (or similar so I can convert them) for these I will be eternally grateful. Consequently, as this is a request thread, if anyone wants the versions I’ve found, feel free to ask and I’ll gladly put them up.

– Probably convert this to 320kbps MP3 with LAME for consistency.

Kanon OST (Game)
– APE lossless format (Ripped with EAC it looks like.)
– I’ll probably convert this to 320kbps MP3 with LAME just to keep things consistent.

Orgel de Kiku TV Animation Han Kanon Sakushin Shu
– 192kbps MP3
– If anyone has 320kbps or FLAC versions of this one I’d also appreciate it.

Kanon/Air Piano Arrange Album Re-Feel
– 320kbps MP3 (Pretty sure I got this off this forum somewhere.)

I just found some sort of megatorrent it looks like with a whole bunch of Kanon CDs.. It’s over 2GB though so I’m going to have to finish downloading it first and see what it comes with. If there’s anything new I’ll add it to this list.

Update2:
Found it! One of the files in the torrent finished and it’s a 320kbps version of the 1999 Last Regrets single! If anyone can provide the others I’m missing it would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!

Update3:
The 2GB torrent finished and it seems to have included a bunch of stuff I was missing. For now I at least have a version of everything but I’m still trying to look for better quality. It did come with the 320kbps versions of the Florescense single and the Game OST in APE format. Sadly, the 2 TV OSTs and the Orgel thing were in a miserably low bitrate. It did, however, come with a 320kbps version of Piano de Kanon, although I’m unable to tell if that was anything official. It also came with the drama CDs I think, and some other CD’s I’ve yet to identify.. working through them now. For now, if anyone has 320kbps/FLAC/APE/etc versions of TV OST 1 and 2 and Orgel[…] please let me know. As always if anyone wants these feel free to ask. Thanks!

Update4:
Managed to find the FLACs for TV OST’s 1 and 2 finally. Also might’ve located the FLAC for the Florescense single but I’ll have to try and dl it to see. For the most part I think I kind of filled my own request but I’m still looking for that Orgel thing since I can’t seem to find any indication of better quality versions existing as of yet. Still, thanks again.

I’m not sure if you’re interested (I’m a big Kanon fan as well), I’ve posted several Kanon-based (unofficial doujin) game soundtrack rips here: Thread 46025 The tracks are remixed versions of several Kanon bgms, so you might like it.

I have the Last Regrets/風の辿り着く場所 2006 single and the Kanon game music (ripped from the game disc which doubles as an audio CD, and is different from the OST) in FLAC format. I meant anything that isn’t from the first anime. So game music counts too. I never watched the first anime (and have no intention to do so either) so I don’t know what the OST sounds like and don’t really care about those albums. I already have the 2006 OP/ED single (Last Regrets/風の辿り着く場所) in FLAC format myself. I tried to get some arrange albums from torrents but they didn’t seem to move at all…

If you could provide the titles of these albums I might be able to try and look up a few. I can’t guarantee anything though, these things appear to be a huge pain to get.

Sorry for the delay.

That soundtrack is a bit of a pain to find. I found it via a chinese torrent as well as links to another download location on another chinese forum, but they appear to be the same versions. Both are 192kbps MP3 which I already have.

If you want I could upload what I have somewhere like rapidshare for you.
If you happen to know of a 320kbps or lossless version of that soundtrack though I’d be interested.

DarkScythe could I get link to that one megatorrent of Kanon songs you found? Any other way you could send the songs would also be great.

Great anime and I always recommend it to anyone who watches anime. Not ashamed to admit I cried in each arc too. Haha… I’m so lame.

It’s a Chinese forum/post but it does list the torrent files at the bottom, and the torrent file itself is linked in the first post.
While it does have most of the soundtracks it’s not entirely great quality, if that matters to you.

In any case, I agree it was a good anime, can’t say I cried though… but I came close lol.

DarkScythe, I’m downloading the 2GB chinese Kanon torrent, and I made no progress (well, a 3% U_U) for almost a month (’cause I found it before you posted it here). Dunno why, but with this torrent I Just can’t connect with anyone much time.

I’m interested in the Kanon Last Regrets/Kaze no Tadoritsuku Basho (1999) single included, but also in the Kanon Game Ost (APE) and the 320 kbps Piano de Kanon CD. Could you upload it somewhere? You’ll save my life.

And, sorry, but I don’t have a better quality version of Orgel. Will tell you if I find it 😉

Sorry to hear about that.. I must’ve lucked out or something then, I was connected to 1 seed who uploaded at a constant 60k/s for a while.

I know of the ones you are referring to, and no problem I can upload them.. Just lol that’s a lot to upload all at once. I have to head to work now though, so I’ll get started on that when I return, but is Rapidshare ok with you, or do you want me to use something else?

As far as file sizes go, you should be able to find those out from the torrent, the ape is around 400mb or so I think, so I’ll have to split it probably using WinRAR.

And thanks, I’m still looking for that elusive Orgel thing, be great if you could let me know if you ever find it.

You now, Murphy’s Law always work. As soon as I posted here, the torrent began to work. Ok, I’m not conected to a seeder (well, there are no seeds xD), but this 50% reached leecher could probably make the Piano de Kanon & Last regrets 1999 single reach the 100%. BTW, the Kanon OST it’s not moving, at all (0% ZzZzZz). But I think I will make it with the other files.

So, I only need you to upload the kanon game ost when & wherever you want (I don’t have any problems with rapidshare, megaupload, sendspace, gigasize, mediafire… As you wish), and you can split it with WinRAR if you want.

If in one or two weeks the other files just don’t finish, I will tell you, but I’m confident I will achieve it ^^ (and I’ll try to find the orgel, don’t worry, I won’t forget it)

EDIT: Well, I don’t know why, but when I left yesterday (you now, Christmas Eve & those things) the torrent was about a 5% (a month for a 5% U_U); and today, when I came back, it was finished! Probably the chinese tracker wanted to make me a present xD

So, I don’t need you to upload those things, but thanks anyway for the troubles I caused 😉 As I told you, I will search the Orgel CD in 320 CBR o lossless format and if I find it, I will tell you 😉
