(BTW, I wonder sometimes if there are some people every once in a while [none of the regulars, of course] who don’t know exactly what they’re voting for and think they’re voting for a character. It might be a smart idea to give each quote a title, as I did when I did quotes a while back, I.E. "Not Something a Maester Should Say.")
Seymour was a horrible character in my eyes, along with pretty much everything he said, while the Dialogue between Tidus and the Al Bhed at least made me chuckle a bit.
Wakka
Seymour made this quote full of win. His couple lines of nonchalance toward Wakka’s protest of machina usage were kickass, and something a devious Maester of Yevon should say!
—
Titles for each of the choices are not really necessary, I feel. Each quote is presented again in its entirety when it’s its time to be brought up for a match.
If someone can’t decipher that this rumble pertains to quotes at the moment, and are basing their votes off of an erroneous judgement that a quote is just accompanying a character in a "FFX Character Rumble," then they’re not making an effort to grasp the concept of these type of things.
On the flip side, I don’t wholly take issue with your suggestion, Agent. Regardless of my past statement, I could see where some members would get that idea. For instance, an earlier edition of the rumble in the Final Fantasy IX section gave you the opportunity to vote for whichever duo you preferred, and quotes were provided to showcase the relationship between each of the characters in a duo.
Titles would be smashing, but The Master could simply implement "Quotes" at the beginning of this rumble and every so often as a reminder, to avoid any confusion.
No, I understood where you were getting at.
Well, If certain people are only looking at boldface names without bothering to check out what they’re voting for, then they’re just being inexcusably silly, since it’s common knowledge to, at the very least, peek at the beginning of a round to be conscious of what you’re choosing between.
Not to sound harsh, but I don’t believe for a second you should feel obliged to hold someone’s hand if they’re not making the small effort to head to the previous page to gain a full understanding of what’s going on.
I’m also of the opinion that it’s unnecessary because I’m giving the members here the benefit of the doubt.

Please don’t complain about the quote names, thanks.
EDIT: Thanks, but that was just a warning to anyone who might fell compelled to make a discussion about the quote names again.
The transition from the actual event to Tidus’s POV was smartly executed. Lulu’s encouraging words to a teary-eyed Yuna made the strain a sending could have on a summoner, especially a newly appointed one, evident. And concerning Tidus’s opinion of what he had just witnessed, it pretty much sums up how most in his position, an outsider, would feel.
I think that these wishes are a strong part of the ‘backbone’ of Tidus’s character. In the end, in a way, he does succeed in making his wishes come true.

Seymour’s lines have once again won me over. He, at first, displays trash-talking at its finest. Then, he earnestly informs the group of his plan to "heal" Spira, in a most batshit means at that!
I’m aware there’s more to Ronso’s Warning, yet I can’t seem to view it as nothing more than a couple of Neanderthals poking fun at someone, whom they regard, as lesser. It’s generally quite irksome.
Come to think of it, I’ve been sounding like a Seymour fan so far, and that’s hardly the case. You people have been choosing the dialogue where he’s at his zenith! =/

I’m of the opinion that both quotes suck; one is clich???, while the other is too kitschy for its own good, but Auron’s is the lesser of two evils.

Maechen:"And that, as they say, is that."
I am a staunch fan of Lulu’s, though even I could see "I hope you hurt them" as a quotation sorely lacking any special, noteworthy qualities you’d expect would be necessities for something reputed as "quotable," and I could go as far as to say her manner of articulating that line was nothing short of lifeless. Tidus’s quote, "I hate you," isn’t a favorite of mine by a wide margin, but at least it has character.
Maechen’s quote, on the other hand, is: simple, modestly possesses pizzazz, and has an air of regality attributed to the way it was spoken.

At any rate, Auron’s line sounded way cooler coming from him than Wakka’s of his. (Yep, personally speaking, this is what this round has come down to. Voices. I’d vote otherwise if Lulu were the one verbalizing that line instead of Wakka.)
For real (fo reals), as I type this message, I’m hearing in my mind: "My best memories are here, ya." And without fail, it’s in that cretinous accent you hold so dear, too, K-neg. http://i27.photobucket.com/albums/c172/nfandom/funone3kk.gif

COOKIE, IF YOU WANT TO RESPOND TO THIS, PM IN CHAT
:p
Battle, this is an amusing threat with teensy weensy problem — you have no mod powers, whatsoever. So you’d have to talk one of the mods into doing it for you. As for the excluding them from voting — well, that you could actually do…
PLEASE DON’T RESPOND TO THIS MESSAGE.
But, i double checked. It was 11:8. So i just thought it would be a sensible place to update. That’s all. But its TM’s rumble. I have no place to complain, fair enough.

Your Story
Auron:This is it. This… is your story. It all begins here.

Imagination
Lulu: Wakka’s…a bit lacking in the imagination department
I just found Your Story really corny…
So I`m going for Your Story
All you’re doing is spamming the rumble, for the last fucking time, stop complaining about the updates.
Your Story wins

Shut up
Kimarhi:Pick spot. Shut up. Wait.

Final Aeon
Riku:You know, don’t you? Summoners journey to get the Final Aeon. Yuna told you, didn’t she? With the Final Aeon, she can beat Sin. But then…but then… If she calls it, the Final Aeon’s going to kill her! Even if she defeats Sin, it will kill Yunie too, you know!
for the last fucking time, stop complaining about the updates
I believe he said that he was just curious and not complaining…. TM I know you just got hurt and all but I think you need to calm down a bit. It was a legit question.
To be more on topic Shut up
Also, regardless of anything else that’s been said, I don’t think that Baby Boink is the only one that’s irritated. I think we’re allowed to expect a reasonable update, and I think we’re right to expect it to be more than once a month. Once a week is fine — anything more than that is pushing it. At a monthly update rate, we’re going to end up having an edition that takes over a year, and that’s really not good. If you’d prefer to just have someone else do it, because you don’t feel like doing it, that’s all right. But I don’t think it’s unreasonable for us to expect at least a once-weekly update.
Also, I agree with Agent and Xander.
Also, I echo what Agent said about the rumble, and if you’re just going to cunt at us about it, then fine. But we’ll keep pestering you until you change it to something reasonable, so unless you want to have this conversation every time you update it (and often in between updates), I’d advise cutting the update gaps to something like a week.
Now Shut Up
Ok I’ll update it more.
Date and time
Also Master told ya it wasn just me who felt it, I just tried to be diplomatic about it, You sorted threw that in my face though.
I’ll update today or tomorrow.
You guys can complain all you want, but I’m the one who decides when to update, I’ve decided to update sooner so I suggest you drop it.
Shut the fuck up.
Shut up wins.

Scent of the farplane
Seymour:Why are you still here, sir? (pause as Auron looks at him)I beg your pardon. We Guado are keen to the scent of the Farplane

Today and tomorrow.
Jecht:Why do today what you can leave for tomorrow?
Shut the fuck up.
