I’m getting a new one so I can keep ripping, but i’m afraid of killing it again. Any recommendations? :S And sorry if this is not the place for this…….. 🙁
another possible reason might be that you haven’t been connecting the cable to an actual line-in on your soundcard, but to a microphone jack. this works for a while, but eventually one day you’ll wake up and the card is dead/using the jack produces a tremendous hissing noise. i killed two soundcards in a row this way several years ago when i wasn’t very experienced in sound recording… 🙁
i’m no expert in this, but this is the the reasons i can think of. hopefully someone else with more knowledge will also look into this thread… 😀
Thanks to both! I did buy new speakers…. they were the main reason of why I connected my PC to the TV.
And thanks teblad. I was wondering that (the connecting tow line out jacks thing), and I’m sure I didn’t do what you explained, but I’ll be more careful next time though. I guess I’ll need to buy some more cables and adapters….. thanks again! XD
