Both disc games and the 6 games I have on my PS3 HDD work. This is too cool!
EDIT: After reading further into this, it looks like it is possible to access the PS3 from other locations that have internet access. So this isn’t quite as useless as it sounds then.
Then people will starve.

Sony gives you free hotspot access for the PSP through T-Mobile, they say 6 months free but I’ve been using it for almost a year. So anytime I’m at starbucks or something, I can go online with my PSP. Also my home internet is AT&T so for an extra $1 on my internet bill, I have AT&T WiFi access.
Remote Play between the PSP and PS3 works with either the PS3s built in WiFi or over the internet with a wireless router. 2 or 3 firmware updates back allows you to leave your PS3 turned off and when I’m at any hotspot, I can log into the PlayStation Network with my PSP and remote start my PS3 from anywhere and have access to all of its contents. The picture is not that bad, but depending on the signal strength it can lag with up to a 1 second delay that makes gaming not fun.
Right now the PSone games I have on my PS3s HDD is Twisted Metal 2, Spyro the Dragon, Castlevania: SotN, Tekken 2, Crash Bandicoot and WipeOut. But I can also put any of my PS1 games into the PS3 and play that as well.
