4125, I’m a fan of the GT saga so I collect all the soundtracks and I was wondering about the disc you used to get this sound. I mean…: the title says "US Rip" so at fist time I just though it was an extraction of the audio of the NTSC-USA two CDs of GRAN TURISMO 2. But later when I saw the files.. they include the JAP, the PAL and the US intro so I was wondering if the NTSC-USA two CDs of GRAN TURISMO 2 include those sounds from other countries too…

And for the rest of the files, 21 tracks more, I was wondering where they come from then. Are all this files included on the NTSC-USA two CDs of GRAN TURISMO 2?, or each file is from a different region copy?. You know, I just need info because I wanna organize it on the collection properly.

To answer that question, NO the other intros where NOT Included within the US Disc. I just recorded them from youtube videos and included in the rip because I feel that most people get confuse with the different intros.

To answer that question, YES they was RIPPED from the greatest hit version of GT2 US Version (The One with gray style Disc). All of this is what I could get out, Oh and I used PSound to RIP this, thats why there are no names. If you want PSound: Thread 31527 (Go To the first Post…)

I’ve still my copy of it. I downloaded this audio extraction at its moment, the only differences you’ll find in my copy is that I’ve done changes in the file names, folder and ID3v Tag info fields, in general words: improvements writting the info that 4125 left us in this thread about the recording plus a few personal notes.

I’ve been messaged regarding this. Of course I still keep a copy so it’s a pleasure to help guys. In fact I’m quite surprised with the amount of interest users have about this audio extract (it’s the 3rd re-up I’ve done of it haha!).

By the way take in mind it’s just a 31kbps WMA codification, so you can have an idea of the low quality of this audio. It would be great to have a PSF set of the ISO in order to have a great audio image. I’ve been doing few searches looking for a PSF set of SCEA’s SCUS-94455/94488 but no luck yet.
