Two songs from the score to check out. Crappy quality but I found them on the site.
i would say that Metal Gear Solid 4 has a good chance to get this title if they dont ruin the whole main theme totally XD
UNREAL TOURNAMENT 3
The whole soundtrack is just a work of art, its just brilliant.
Yeah, it maybe similar to other GoW OSTs, but that doesn’t stop me from thinking its 2008 best.
greets Mikero
but I also love the Assassins Creed soundtrack, when you play the game, it fits perfectly in the atmosphere ๐
Just rehashes from old games some being a few seconds long…
Metal Gear 4’s music although great really dissapointed me the best track being a rehash (wow i see a trend here :p) from mgs3 the others not having quite the impact and emotion that the music in the old games had.
So far I’m gonna go with Lost Odyssey or Too Human, it will most likely change as this years big games arrive.
I’m interested to hear Warhammer Online: Age of Reckoning though.
For me The Lost Odyssey soundtrack is just awesome and is the best ost until now!
Right now Braid is at the top of my list as well as Wario Land: TSD.

I don’t know about shrugging off Brawl just because it was a bunch of "rehashes". Noriyuki Iwadare’s "Meta Knight’s Revenge" remix and Michiko Naruke’s "Bramble Blast" remix were two of the best tracks I have heard in recent video game music history. There are rarely any musical pieces that I would consider "better than the original", but these two tracks fit in this category in my opinion. Other notable tracks include almost all of the remixed Kirby music and Star Fox music. Even though my two favorite artists on that list (Noriyuki Iwadare and Yasunori Mitsuda) had only 5 tracks total, the other artists did a fantastic job of remixing those nostalgic tunes. I also think Brawl’s soundtrack having a few tracks being a few seconds long is completely irrelevant since all video games have those 10 second jingles, with the Zelda series’s OSTs being a prime example of being riddled with "Item Get" and "Opening Treasure Chest" jingles (I’m looking at you, 80-track Ocarina of Time OST).
But I’m saving my opinions also. de Blob has a GREAT soundtrack! ๐
And from what I’ve heard so far, so does Sonic Unleashed.
I completely disagree, when I listened to the whole thing in one sitting there were definitely tracks that felt like I slogging through just to get to the next batch of awesome tracks.
and i haven’t’ even played the game
Speaking of Gears… Steve Jablonsky is handling the score. I am SHOCKED they aren’t going with Kevin Riepl.
