Thank you so much for sharing this! I am really looking forward to purchasing the game when it’s released domestically. I’m a big Space Invaders fan and this has got to be the BEST re-invention of the series to date.

It’s kinda like Space Invaders meets Rez!

Wow. I played this in the background at work this afternoon and this is NOT the music with which I have become obsessed while playing the PSP version of the game. This is good music, but the PSP soundtrack is radically different.

The music from the PSP version seems to ebb and flow like the tide. It breathes and offers a really different feel throughout the game. It’s similar to the Lumines soundtrack alternating between high-energy and relaxing tracks.

Any idea if there is interest in extracting the audio from the PSP version? I have found a series of files on the UMD which I believe are the music. They are 14 files named bgm_stage_00.bin – bgm_stage_13.bin. They range in size from 886kb to 2313kb. I tried renaming the AT3 and playing them in IR Shell (which plays other ATRAC-3 files), but they weren’t recognized.

Any thoughts? If worst come to worst, I have found that the music for a level plays through when the game is paused. However, I haven’t made it past Stage 4, which means that I wouldn’t be able to capture much of the soundtrack that way.

Yeah, basically the game was originally made only for the DS then it was decided to be made for PSP too.

The DS version is which I own and love

however I wouldnt mind the PSP version aswell as im sure it sounds just as good

As for SIE… Scroll down. You’ll find "Original Version"s of each, those are afaik the PSP versions.
