Not sure when it will start airing down under but in the US we have 4 episodes left.
Roll on the Christmas special with the Cybermen that’s all I’m saying! 😛
EDIT: Also, sorry to sound so pedantic… but should the official thread for Doctor Who on here really be called THE DOCTOR WHO STUFF THREAD? Doesn’t sound too official really… I’d have thought "The Official Doctor Who Thread" would sound more, well… official? lol.
Just a suggestion of course, if we’re going to make this thread successful etc.
the 80s. It was one of the few times I could stay up late.. I
have since rediscovered my likeness for it. I watch both Old
series and New series. ( Hence my Delgado ava with Simms
sig. well I haven’t got my Delgado sig made yet so…)
THE ADIPOSE ARE AWESOME
I like this new version of Doctor Who okay, but I would like it more if it wasn’t for the RoseXDoctor shippines in the new series. I’m old school, and I feel that the writers should not make an entire story arc involving the Doctor having a romantic relationship with a companion. Rose is likable, but the whole romance thing that started up rubs me the wrong way. I find it nauseating.
Episodes of the new series that I really like include "Blink," several episodes of the current season, and "The End of the World," with Christopher Eccleston. I find Eccleston to be an awesome Doctor.
And, btw, what are you on about gara?
I enjoy some of the classics when they’re on too.
I’m not a HARDCOOOOOOOOORE fan though.
I guess you could say im a HARDCOOOOOOOOORE fan though.
Series 4 [or 30 depending on how you want to look at it] is rather hit and miss in my opinion… there are some fantastic episodes during it’s run [Silence in the Library springs to mind], yet there were some absolutley rubbish ones at the same time [Midnight anyone?].
I personally think the best modern series so far is the second, although Donna is a superb companion, the original run for Rose was just sheer brilliance with Tennant. Episodes like New Earth, Girl in the Fireplace, Doomsday… all classics, a quality they sadly seem to have not matched since. It’s been good don’t get me wrong, but no series has been consistant as that one.
And while you’re all watching series 4… I can now only look forward to Return of the Cyberman at Christmas, and then a measily 3 episodes next year… hmph!
and three episodes next year!! im shocked. tell me more!
maybe a few months ago.
like the series. it’s fun to watch.
good twist and plot and humor.
heck i even grew out my sideburns (i don’t usually do that) it relates to doctor who, trust me. just a long story that no one would want to hear/read.
thats bad.
Roll on the Christmas special with the Cybermen that’s all I’m saying! 😛

im sorry about the name, at the time i wasnt really thinking straight, and didnt expect the thread to do too well. If i could change the name now, i would.
If you post in it anymore it’ll make it two pages.
In The Armageddon Factor, the Time Lord Drax addresses the Fourth Doctor as "Thete", short for "Theta Sigma". He is called by this name again in the Paul Cornell novel Goth Opera; later, in The Happiness Patrol, this was clarified as a nickname from the Doctor’s University days. In Remembrance of the Daleks the Seventh Doctor produces a calling card with a series of pseudo-Greek letters inscribed on it (as well as a stylised question mark). This may be a reference to Terrance Dicks’ and Malcolm Hulke’s book The Making of Doctor Who (1972), which claims that the Doctor’s true name is a string of Greek and mathematical symbols.
’tis possibly one of the doc’s true names.
I’m with you on this one. The fandom would explode with wank if they ever revealed his true name.
And to be honest, I don’t really want to know. He’s the Doctor, and that’s enough for me 🙂
Just to be clear, I do like the name Theta Sigma. But I’d like to think it’s just what the canon’s been implying so far, a memory of his days in the Academy, and not his real name.
btw, ruttokoira, it is not the tardis, but a or your tardis. it is not the only one.
Season finale airs on Friday in the US.
I’m well aware. It’s just a nod to my days as a crappy Nine ljRPer, as 99% of the time his location was ‘the TARDIS’ 🙂
Season finale airs on Friday in the US.
i know, but it wasnt always like that.
CRAP! in Australia were only up to the poison sky.
Mine? Hell yes it is 😀 *is a dorky Ecclesfan*
(And tbh, as much as I love Ten, Nine will still always be My Doctor :))
i wonder why chris was only for one series?
i loved utopia/sound of drums/last of the time lords.
..yet, I do believe Eccleston did that even better. He could really show us all the sides of the Doctor’s personality. To me, he was everything the Doctor is supposed to be.
As for why he only stayed for one series, I’ve read somewhere CE himself isn’t a huge fan of the series, he mostly took the job ’cause he wanted a challenging role, and to work with RTD.
I’d love to see him in Who again, maybe in a special (like Time Crash, with Five)?
And fave ep, yes! This is a tough one, but.. I guess it’s the S1 two-parter The Empty Child/The Doctor Dances. Jack’s intro! Dancing Doctor! "Everybody lives!" 😀
edit
oh, and they didnt broadcast time crash in aus!!!!
Aw man, that sucks. Check youtube? It may be short, but seriously, it’s worth a watch; Tennant and Peter Davison are both amazing, and it’s written by Moffat! Lots of references to old!Who and hilarious dialogue between the Doctors 😀
but it would be interesting if they brought in all the people who played the doctor in an episode(or a few). from the very first to now.
that’s just a thought i figure i’d throw out there.
so far my favorite episode was that one where they were in a mine or something where to humans and some creatures were fighting each other and they were cloning themselves so that more troops could fight and the doctors clone is a bad ass chick. well the episode was something like that, oh, and the doctor had revealed that he had children before. that was cool episode.
that’s just a thought i figure i’d throw out there.
hartnell is probably dead.
Yup, he died 1975 (aged 67). Troughton and Pertwee (Two and Three, respectively) are dead as well. Baww 🙁
An interesting fact though
William Hartnell was 67
Patrick Troughton was 67, he died in 1987 at a Doctor Who convention in Georgia.
Jon Pertwee was 76, he died in 1996
Tom Baker is 74 right now
Peter Davison is 57 now
Colin Baker is 65 now but I doubt he’d come back he looks very different.
Sylvester McCoy is 64 and looks great I can see him coming back as the Doctor
Paul McGann is 48 and since he was only in the TV Film he could come in at anytime it wouldn’t matter how much he’s aged, which isn’t all that much.
then of course we have Christopher Eccleston and the current Doctor David Tennant.
So really only maybe 3 other Doctors could show up again, 4 if Peter came back for another one.
if only the docotrs lived for ever so they could have a massive reunion.
i just watched the poison sky and its was good. The valiant reminded me of utopia/sound of drums/last of the time lords. yay.
SONTAR-HA
You can also catch some episodes on youtube it just takes some wording, typing in Doctor who along with the name of an episode should get most of the ones that are out. Sadly most of the 1st and 2nd Doctor’s episodes are lost, either destroyed or misplaced. The BBC destroyed most of the master tapes to clear up space in the 70’s
HOW DARE THEY DESTROY DOCTOR WHO!!!!!!
thet doctors daughter was on abc last night. it was good, but the fishy hath were retarded. Jenny’s regeneration looked like vomiting. i hope they bring her back next series or sumthin.
I hope it’s true, all of it. Seriously, I squealed out loud when I read about the possible cast, it’s that awesome 😀
They didn’t have a choice as the BBC Television Studios had a fire decades ago, and roughly half of their master copies were lost in it. Wasn’t just Doctor Who, but other programmes such as Red Dwarf were also lost in the fires.
last night i watched the unicorn and the wasp on abc. i didnt really enjoy it. it was like the equivalent of blink from s3.
i give it 4/10. From now on im going to rate the episodes according to my thoughts
the fire did play a large role, but they also erased a good deal of the masters since they had no concept that they could release them first as VHS Tapes and then DVD’s
So what one group is doing is taking the audio recordings and then adding animation to it. It’s an interesting idea and I would like to see the results. BTW some old who trivia for you: my name is actually based off of one of The Master’s many guises. Name the episode if you can.
The Daemons? Where Delgado!Master is posing as the vicar, Mr. Magister?
I got the audio recording of the 10th planet
series one, two and three have come in at my local library, so im gonna watch them.
i’m also going to try get hold of some of the classic series.
one thing i have realized is that eccleston is a bit darker than tennant because, for example, in ‘Dalek’ he really went off at that dalek and really wanted to kill it, while david t’s doc didnt really want to kill anything (except for that bit at the end of the doctors daughter, but nevertheless he said he never would).
Nice sigs, If I had Photoshop I might be able to whip something up like that, but I use a free Paint.NET works good and I have some nice looking sigs.
I’ll have to pull up the ones I did for Doctor Who some time
up to ‘the army of ghosts’ in s2
"ice cream. ice cream. ice cream" sez miss evangalista or whatever the hell she is called.
i finished series 4!
i love the german daleks, and when donna made the daleks spin around.

I’ve pre-ordered the CD personally, got the last 2 so gonna add to the collection haha. Also pre-ordered the Merlin soundtrack as I think that’s just as good.
Yes, in the first episode of series one of the Original Doctor Who, where we are introduced to Susan, The Doctor’s grand-daughter. This means he had to have a daughter in order to have a grand-daughter.
The Episode "The Doctor’s daughter" on the other hand, is about a female clone that is made from some of the Doctor’s DNA and other genetic material [made without his permission of course.]
PS I voted for Tom Baker as the best Doc, but Tennant comes a close second
People I know online are rooting for
Stephen Fry
Bill Bailey
and David Mitchell
Nope this was truly the best doctor !!
Jon Pertwee played the Third Doctor Who from 1970 to 1974. He was 50 years old when he begun playing the role. He was born July 7th, 1919 and died in his sleep May 20th 1996 at the age of 76 in his New York hotel room while attending a Doctor Who convention. His Doctor Who episodes were the first to be produced in color, and the only Doctor from that era to have the least number of episodes missing. The majority of his adventures were Earth-bound, as the TimeLords were punishing him for stealing the TARDIS in an earlier incarnation. His turn at the Series gave us major villians still used today, such as "The Master" and "The Sontarans", and one of the fan’s most favorite companions, Sarah Jane Smith, and also took U.N.I.T. well beyond two guest-appearances from the Patrick Troughton days.
MP3 would probably be more compatible with most computers software… not everyone likes using iTunes for some reason. I’d be fine with both, but MP3 would be better for everyone if you’re willing to do so please. 🙂

Personally, I was hoping Simon Pegg would get the consideration myself!
..I hadn’t even thought of Simon Pegg. Man, that’d be interesting to see.
But yeah, Dylan Moran is my number one choice (preferably with Bill Bailey as his companion. Black Books ftw!). We need an Irish Doctor~
Eleven = MATT SMITH! (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Matt_Smith_(British_actor))
Only 26 years old, he’s the youngest Doctor so far. Man, I was hoping for a crusty old man 🙁
And the photoshoot he’s done with the TARDIS proves that it’s going to be a much darker and scarier product, which I was hoping for really!
Kinda got sick of David constantly going "I’m sorry… I’m so so sorry" every time someone pulled their bottom lip out haha!
No overall I’m looking forward to Spring 2010, time for a revamp anyway!

Wow, he’s the 11th? That ought to be intresting indeed.
Also, after watching the recent Christmas Special I’m taking it upon myself to start downloading every episode of the recent reboot soon. I’ll work my way through them so I’ll be fit to geek out here soon with you all.
Also, anyone know where I can download some of the classic series?
FANKS
Does anyone else mind .MP4 except for littlesmegger?
Also, anyone know where I can download some of the classic series?
Do not know if its only in USA but all the old Dr Who’s are no on the Netflix that is part the 360′ menu. Works great and for 9 bucks a month you can just watch them a lot easier then downloads.
Btw I was surprised to find out there is a large portion of the episodes totally missing from the series. I have seen a few that they reconstructed from TV shows that people had taped recorded with animation done over the top. Totally amazed me to hear that they might be gone forever.
In 2001 there was a fire in the BBC Television Centre that managed to destroy several archives of television programmes. Some of which obviously being Doctor Who.
The Beeb have since asked fans of programmes to send in copes they may have taped on VHS to help back up a list of lost series, but the Doctor Who lost episodes were before this type of VHS backup were possible. And so animators have since made it an effort to use still exsisting audio tapes to create animated replicas of the episodes.
Here being an example of this: http://uk.youtube.com/watch?v=qMAhFZ2blYA
Also the BBC are starting to digitally restore a lot of the B&W classic series, and bring them to their full colour glory. But there’ll be some time before that kind of content became public I’d think.
The lost episode had nothing to do with the fire but seems copies where just sent out and no originals kept. A lot of the series has been redone on DVD and I have seen many of them. They are not btw amateurs doing the restored animated episodes, but have been working with BBC using the some actually soundtracks and some home tape recordings. (http://www.restoration-team.co.uk) There is a great mini show on the 2nd DVD of the Invasion explaining the process with some the people who even turned in the cassettes they made with a mic pressed up to the TV.
Released:
6th November 2006
The release of The Invasion onto DVD heralded the first time an incomplete story had been released on its own. When the story was originally released onto VHS, Nicholas Courtney was drafted in to briefly fill in the blanks left by the two missing episodes, but this time around something far more ambitious was in order, with Cosgrove Hall, who had earlier collaborated with the BBC on the webcast Scream of the Shalka, being called in to produce animated versions of Episodes One and Four, using their still surviving soundtracks.
Next time quote someone when you have your facts right.
http://rgonots-sylph.net/forums/images/smilies/thedoctor.gif
And secondly, there’s no need really for the small fonted remark at the end, telling me what I can and can’t do, as if I took your quote out of context or something. I merely used it as a reference as to why I was posting.
But fair enough, if you wanna sound cocky on here then do so. Wont win you any prizes or brownie points either way…
And so animators have since made it an effort to use still exsisting audio tapes to create animated replicas of the episodes.
Your "facts" are wrong misleading … go watch the documentaries on the dvd’s from the guys who did all the shows, i have… you have not obviously…
unsubscribed to this thread cause of you calling me "cocky" dont need that noise
sorry guys. i ve been on www.wiihacks.com for ages and i havnt come back here. I have succeeded in entering my thread safely after infiltrating the shrine…
btw, i have seen every episode after 2005 now.
Yes, I’m feeding the trolls. SUE ME.
So yeah, I’m loving it so far.
Also when I posted that I forgot to put it in yellow text.
If you want a thread where you can download all of them, let me know.
The Doctor Who missing episodes are the installments of the long-running British science-fiction television programme Doctor Who that have no known film or videotape copies. They were wiped (or "junked") by the BBC during the 1960s and 1970s for economic and space-saving reasons. ~ Doctor Who missing episodes – Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Doctor_Who_missing_episodes)
Other classics were also lost. See: The British TV Missing Episodes Index (http://www.btinternet.com/~m.brown1/eplist.htm)
The BBC is not the only one that destroyed, or is destroying, archives. It was a common practice in the days of expensive storage, no archiving preservatives, when films & tapes were bulky. Disney recently made some acquisitions stipulated with the condition Disney not be responsible for archive preservation. Leaving the fate of back catalogs in doubt. ~cite?
Even with only the soundtrack, The Massacre of St Bartholomew’s Eve (William Hartnell, 1966) was voted one of The Best Doctor Who Stories. The 10 greatest episodes of Doctor Who ever – Telegraph (http://www.telegraph.co.uk/culture/3674193/The-10-greatest-episodes-of-Doctor-Who-ever.html)
Right now, I’m liking Sylvester McCoy. But, there is a Doctor Who for every mood!
It has always, to some extent pandered to its fans and their wants and needs, I dont think it is a bad thing providing it doesn’t become mired in its own history, indeed many of the new series production crew and writers are long term dedicated fans of the original series.
Agreed. All shows have to some extend serve their fanbase, otherwise how would they continue?
Depends…are we talking audio dramas and comics?
Because I think the 8th and 10 Doctor both had alien, female, companions.
Because I think the 8th and 10 Doctor both had alien, female, companions.
Yes Eight travelled with Charley and C’rizz for a while in the audios. The first one was human (and female), the second was a Eutermisan (?) and male. I’m sure he had other non-female alien companions.
Ten travelled with a green looking lady whose name now escapes me in the DWM comics.
But the other Doctors had non-female alien companions too, on television. Turlough wasn’t from Earth if I remember correctly, and neither was Adric. And if alien counts for robots then Kamelion and K-9 fit the description too 😛
I agree though that it would be a nice thing to repeat!
We should only have one rule and it starts now.
Rule #1. Post a link to share a Doctor Who Audio Drama, then say what you like.
Corollary. If you don’t share, shut up or say Thank You.

If this is to be the new site, should we send some PM’s about, and invite, the others we want here?, or do we want a new thread all together?

Oh yes there is…
Due to the fact that a few of us from the thread, have posted here in the last 2 days, this thread has gone to the top of the list, now it is easy to find… ?, here or new??

That’s good then. do you think we should invite those trusted ones then?
and no-one else wants the thread – it can be the new ‘Discussion thread, and we can decide 1 or 2 sites for d/l, with RWQ….
Those not invited don’t get into d/l sites…..
If we spread the word around, the last 4 pages of ffs audio drama can be forgotten….
RE: bad day/week/month…(time travelers may experience longer down time). Shucks, Doctor Who had some bad regenerations, too. (ie: the War Doctor, ect.).
<hr size=6 color=green>Maybe what we need to start is a new site for flaming Doctor Who. A place where you don’t need to be polite. A place where the grumpy can vent, hammer, slam, critique and generally just kiss kick some random butt! ie; dalekshatedoctorwho.com (http://www.dalekshatedoctorwho.com/)
How would an invite work? If here is freely available but the d/l thread is closed except to invites then what happens when you don’t invite someone? Here becomes a war zone again. In particular I’m thinking that the so far unjustified "clique" allegation becomes more relevant.
I leave it to Ex Me, for his reply and to others, who drop in with different views, to the group as a whole to determine the end result…. or we can keep the status quo, which is in effect at the moment.
You are here.

The Fez’s life goes something like this:
1. Wait around in the vault to be discovered by 11*;
2. Get thrown back to the middle ages to meet 10*;
3. Get tossed, dropped, buried, and recovered centuries later, and placed in the vault;
4. Go back to #1.
The Fez has no beginning.
At every iteration, the fez gets handled and worn a little bit more. Although the doctor goes through a regeneration in-between, the fez has no renewal and just keeps getting more worn.
After a gazillion iterations, the 11th * might not care to pick up the worn out fez anymore, letting it escape the loop…?
———- Post added at 09:43 AM ———- Previous post was at 09:42 AM ———-
* Nubering system follows pre-2013 conventions.
Surely the point is that there’s only one continuous loop not a gazillion iterations of the same events? Everyone experiences their part in the sequence once only, the fez is removed from the display once, the fez travels back in time, the fez is recovered and placed on display. Each event happens one time and forms a continuous loop of cause and effect. A paradox sure but the fez won’t wear out because it didn’t.
I want to agree, but that’s the paradox. If MS so much as frays the hem in putting on the fez (does a fez even have a hem?), there is no point in its subsequent history when that hem gets unfrayed. Being continuous, the cycle has no identifiable reset point at which such a [worn -> new] jump might occur.
Are you suggesting that because the fez is caught in a repeating time loop, it is impervious to physical change?
BTW – Do not mistake my timey wimey confusion for any kind of authoritative argumentation. I only understand this well enough to keep the kiddos thinking. 🙂

– "Kill the Fez!"
– "Sorry, mate, it’s a fixed point in time."
It’s an interesting point. From everyone’s perspective each event occurs once but I suppose, were the fez sentient, from it’s point of view it goes repeatedly through the loop. However within that viewpoint each action occurs in exactly the same fashion each time ie the fez never gets frayed and never ages since it wasn’t frayed and aged the one time that everybody but the fez experienced the event. From this we must conclude that, within the temporal loop, time does not progress endlessly but must reset each time through.
do we live here now then?
do we live here now then?
Well the other thread is now open but, at this point, I’d rather be here personally.
Its not the kind of drama I am looking for lol!

One question….
Is the owner/starter/originator/god like being who started/owns/commands or dictates (well you never know) this thread on board with this, or will we have a repeat of the recent past?
I honestly think that nothing at all has been resolved by the hiatus, the same people will do the same things much to the irritation of the same other people. I’ll keep an eye on the other thread but I too am fed up of the drama.
Temporarily closing the thread may have been done with the best of intentions, but in my view it will not solve the fundamental problems that we have had of late with some members. I think we all know who and what problems I’m talking about.

Just read your post jawamaster on the other thread, it made me laugh out loud 🙂 trust you to state the bleedin obviouse 😀 🙂
If it’s impervious to physical change how come River blew the crap out of it? Or did she just seemingly destroy it but in reality throw it forward (or backwards) in time for the Doc to find it again (or for the first time). God I hate time travel which is ironic considering who we’re here to DISCUSS. 😉

what do you call a redhead between 2 blondes?
the translator
How happy are we with a ‘re-opening’, if we are good little boys and girls, as long as we do what is demanded…..
1, 2, or 3? [the blonde joke was to bring a smile, and possibly get a – what have you got against blondes…..]
To people who are dropping in for a look – please, please, leave a calling card – if here is to be the new discussion site we need people to ask questions, call a doctor a tosser, or at very least wave to each other… if the plan is ‘audio’ for d/l, here for discussion, then come on and discuss :), if there are no d/l’s to squabble about… then the squabblers wont be here 🙂
…..here or…..
If I tell you, you’ll only think I bragging 🙂

Isn’t there a forum on the Other Place? But then again, the Other place is mostly ____ file formats. ;-;
Yes, yes, and ?no?…. all sites have discussion threads, you can’t stop people talking, even if they don’t have a
common language, humans will try anything, hand gestures, pictures, getting so drunk that neither can make a
intelligent comment – Drunkenese the only true international language –
to try and do so, ……
But if a member here, goes and knocks on the door of The BF Forum, they will be met with a wall of ‘not today thank you’, ‘jump through these hoops please…..’
We here, want to chatter, we may or may not care about your 2nd cousin’s infected toenail, but dropping in the read the pishing contest between two ‘friends’, or finding out if Nobber or Redskutter need hospitalisation following a wedding reception with ‘free bar’, is what community and chatter is for, we have 6-8 months until tv series’ start, up to 30 LC releases, to talk about, the chance of 10 – 20 missing shows to be recovered…
No matter how many forums we are part of, there will always be one, where what is said, makes us smile, and having ‘more than one, works that way – that said we need ONE for all, here is as good a place, as anywhere on shrine, and we are already members…. let’s try for 100 pages of chatter per month.. is that too much of a challenge??, come on, we get 5 pages from some nutter calling some-ones mother a goat……
cue crap Billy the Kidd joke!

Billy Idol.
Sorry, that’s the only goat joke I know.

Maybe OCD was the problem in the first place.
Go on then. What have you got against blondes?
What have you got against translators?
Has this become a pointless thread again now?
It pitches and weaves, but it is always pointless. So has the Valeyard been discounted as a regeneration? Or might it still be an unseen, not talked about, event?
Point #2 (haha, fooled you point/pointless counters)
Sometimes I think the poster should have to declare his/her quality and quantity of inebriation state.
When I see a post that I don’t like, I blame Nobber and his free virtual pints.

With jokes like that, no you won’t 🙂
Oh come off it, it’s better than my other joke..
What do you call sexy pictures of tadpoles?
Frog’s porn.
Why did the Irishman wear two condoms – to be sure, to be sure
OK, stop throwing rocks, it was better than ‘frogs porn’….. 🙂
Ugh. Waking up feeling hungover when you haven’t imbibed anything… yet.
That’s a reason for hating time travel.
It’s dead, Jim.
Ironhead, what is your avie from?
But even when requested not to discuss it you still did
It’s nicer here now

I don’t remember. I do know the real-life Large Conclusion people did make the crossover (they make audio stories for both).
dw/sheerluck croosover? Which ducktor with which choreluk would make the spookiest combo? and the funniest combo?
O dear god no, I feel sick just thinking about it. 🙂

Peter Capaldi as Caecilius in "The Fires of Pompeii" 4×2 Doctor Who

Peter Capaldi as John Frobisher in "Torchwood: Children of Earth" Torchwood (2009)

So when the 13 Doctors stashed their home planet away in some temporal fjord within a painting, thereby letting the Daleks exterminate each other, did that also stash away crazy Timothy Dalton with his I’m-gonna-give-everybody-their-ultimate-comeuppance-with-my Gauntlet-of-Rassilon (c.f. End of Time)?
And Who wants to spring that lethal jack-in-the-box?
Would the failure of their diabolical plans make them revert to their earlier non-aggressive personalities? Or is it now a "Home" populated by evil (albeit thwarted) maniacs hell-bent on universal destruction that the doc is longing to find his way back to?
Talk about your awkward family dinners.
1, you have to keep going further back into you history to gain an advantage, until you come to a point where it never started and thus can’t finish, a perpetual war for all time
2, Your leaders become your creators, and vica versa….. Davros from Genesis and Rassilon from ‘The Old Time’…. The Dalek Army are single minded and the Time Lords are easily led, in their desire for Status Quo…..
[yes I can see the rock/pop/Country band names]
If you ignore the frequent garbage of nuWho, and concentrate on the characteristics of the 2 groups, as put forward in 40 years, of the 50 years, of the show….you will see what I mean 🙂
The Time Lords are never refered to ‘peace loving’ – just not interested in others apart from themselves… and
daleks outside of the group structure, self-destruct,- not self control or self determine…
Should do me!
Sorry……WOOD do me!
I think I am being misunderstood. I mean by letting those know to come here (and not having those who just want to make trouble for troubles’ sake).
Groan, I can’t believe you put that in print 😮 🙂
Never mind "In Print" it’s IN MY HEAD!!!

Yes, that’ll be us…. keeping the bolthole active, waiting for the next shite-fight to shut down DW Audio Thread… but no-one comes to talk to us 🙁 we must have cooties….
Yeah, boy cooties!
Bobby Hill: What are cooties?
Hank Hill: You know, the germs girls have.
Bobby Hill: You mean gonorrhea?
It’s gonna be weird not having Doctor Who in the spring this year. I know it doesn’t happen every year, but it’s happened often enough for it to be set in my head as a time Who is shown…
I know, I feel the same.
It was stated by the Commander of the Gallifrean forces during the Daleks seige of Gallifrey that the High Council had implemented their own plans abandoning Gallifrey and the commoners to the Daleks. Which I assumed was the whole mess with the Master reincarnated/resurrected and their coming thru that 10 foiled. So, I sorta figured that they were no longer on Gallifrey when 11 & the War Doctor stashed it. Now ‘where’ they boomeranged back to when 10 cut the link…Rassilon only knows! 😀
Though, that last episode, I don’t know.
I dug it, but it did feel kind of weak towards the end.
@Witchdoctor?

I’m just getting into it. And loving it!
The rest were all converted and sped up for North America.
You can really hear it.
it’s the most addictive thing right now since Stargate SG1.
there’s a lot of neat scifi shows out there, and other series, but this one I can definitely see myself trying to collect.
Even if I have to import it for the proper editions.
