Final Fantasy Nostalgia – Sample Tracks

What if Final Fantasy Nostalgia? Well it’s a little project I’m working on. It’s basically a group of Final Fantasy songs arranged by various (2-3) artists, including me. Since this is the first one, it’s only tackling Final Fantasy VI, to X. If this album gets good reception then more will definitely be made and will be tackling other Final Fantasy games. Including Final Fantasy XIII, though the music choice on that is obviously really limited since there’s only 1-2 tracks heard from it so far. To finally note, each album will also consist of a Bonus track that is an original song create done by me.

Anyways, yeah theres no cover art yet, but hope to get one done before this album’s fully released next week. Anyways, enjoy these little 30-40 second samples!

Downloaded the samples, and really enjoyed what I heard. The FFVII Main Theme sounds to be particularly good. Looking forward to next week!

Thanks, the FFVII Main theme pretty much was meant to take on a more soothing side, it doesn’t really go into full orchestration in this one like the game and other Orchestra versions Square-Enix did on them. Same with Aeris theme

As for Maybe I’m a Lion thanks again, that one follows the original more, though it uses real guitars as well.

One word… ok, maybe two. Don’t try to orchestrate things that are already perfectly orchestrated. I’m talking bout "You Are not alone" or "Opera House". U just can’t beat them IMHO (especially with samples…), of course U can try to do something different, but if it is your point, than it’s not the good way – U R just repeating things already done. Also "Dancing Mad" or "Maybe I’m Lion" are very similiar to its originals. Quite weak for an arrangement. And yes, I know that these are just samples:). But on the other hand, "Prologue "sounds great, very funny – and much better than this shitty oficial remix album, so as Jenova and FF VII fight theme. Nice tracks. Also your original sound quite decent… but it is just a sample. I’m curious what happens next in this track:). Anyway, keep working, U’ve got potential:).

Alright, I see where you’re approachg from, ad I understand completley what you’re tryig to say. Well yeah theyare already completly orchestrated, however these are just arrangements of those two. They do sound similar with either changes in composition somehere, for instance the Opera House is mostly just doing the Finale scene in a non-vocal way not the entire Opera.

Now as for Dancing Mad and Maybe I’m a Lion. I understand what you’re saying here as well, and I won’t go against or say your opinion is wong cause there’s no such thing as an opinion. I will also even agree with you and not defend my case in that one. Those two songs are pretty much exact copies done to sound better. Mainly cause of fear of ruining the feel of the pece with adding something that might not sound right. But I know there are ways around that, just havent discovered them yet.

For Prologue thanks, I didn’t want the Prologue to be some huge orchestrated thing that’d make people go "Oooh and Ahh". Though I’m curious to where the funny part comes. Next, Jenova and Fighting thanks again, though I hope you aren’t dissapointed with their full results same with Prolgue.

Finally for the Original once again thank you for the compliment, and I’m hoping you won’t be dissapointed, that sample just gets into the battle theme. It’s not entirely a fast pace song the entire way through but it does use a lot of mythological epic beats to give the feel of fighting someone of a much higher order then you, like a god.

I really like the samples. Can’t wait for the full album!

Well good news is I might have this up in a few days, like earlier then I expected since the finishing up progress was done a lot faster then I expected it to be.
