Maxx Skywalker’s Video Game Soundtrack Collection [Hosted on divShare]

I figured it was high time that I contributed to this community, even just a little bit. It’s not much, but it’s what I’ve got, and it just might help those who are looking for something a bit more refined. All soundtracks are in the mp3 format, and I try to keep them to the highest of quality when I come across them.

This is how I run my thread: I simply list the soundtracks I possess, however if you wish to download a soundtrack on the list, request it, and I will open up the link for download. This saves on server space, and really only allows for the soundtracks that have a demand to be opened up. I shall also be prompt, so post all requests in this thread, please don’t PM them to me. This way requests can be fulfilled in the order they were requested.

If a soundtrack is incomplete, let me know, most times it’s because I took some out, because they were not needed (located in another soundtrack — in the case of SSBM), they were essentially repeated tracks, or they were collection bits that I found unnecessary. Sometimes, the source where I got the rip or OST didn’t have the specific song, help me find these one’s.

If you would like me to give you credit for your rip. PM me so that I can give credit where credit is due.

Wii Sports and Wii Play are both complete, though Wii Play has the sound effects in it (was ripped by Sparksterchan).

Because of the nature of some tracks in Wii Play, there isn’t really a consistent number of loops. Some are shorter than others. I believe Wii Sports loops the standard twice before fading out (on appropriate clips).

The bitrate for Wii Play is 192kbps and 256kbps for Wii Sports. It all depends on who rips the soundtrack and their preferences.

I’m uploading Evil Genius as we speak (type?), and it should be up soon. The others will be uploaded shortly.

Evil Genius is missing one track: The Main Overworld Theme. I was unable to find it. And the person who ripped (copied) it didn’t provide it either. A bit of a letdown, but nothing too major. At least all the menu tracks are available.

It took me an hour and a half to upload these, so I’ll be uploading three requests at a time. So feel free to request as much as you want, I shall upload them as promptly as I can. Also, let me know if they work or not. divShare keeps the files uploaded forever, so there’s no worries of the files expiring.

After a bit of a hiatus, I’m back. There’s been some server issues with divShare, but they’ve now since been fixed. So I have three more soundtracks that I’ve finally uploaded.

@HarukiMurakami: The Banjo-Kazooie rip I’ve downloaded is from Galbadia Hotel. And the quality is pretty good as far as I’m concerned. And the Body Harvest rip was ripped by Auumar. The quality is pretty good for that as well. I’ll take that as a request, and it will be uploaded shortly.

IM24CTU, did you want the Italy Themes as well? I’ve converted them to .mp3, so they’re not in .wav, and they are quite entertaining to listen to.

Take note that the DK 64 soundtrack is the OST, it doesn’t have everything. If someone can send me a link to a full rip, this would be greatly appreciated. Until then, enjoy what I do have.

Here you guys go. Just so you know, I stayed up till three in the morning uploading these. Banjo Kazooie was certainly a puta.

Thre has been complete releases of both the Matrix and the Matrix Reloaded (apparently). Although Reloaded misses the "DreadRock" version of the cue "Double Trouble"

I have Dread Rock. Did you need that then? It’s the OST’s version so I don’t know if that helps you any.

Orange, I think I got it from you actually. (Thread 55972) Which brings to question why you needed it uploaded from my collection (perhaps to compare?).

It was a rip, so none of the songs were named, they all have "StreamSS7_XX" in the file names.

If it was yours, I would imagine that it would be pointless for you download it then. It’s uploaded nonetheless, so enjoy.

I’m going to emphasize to everyone, in case you all missed it the first time; I don’t rip the music from games. I don’t have the means to do so (and I have absolutely no idea how crack the disc to get the files). I only have the means to rip Gameboy, Gameboy Advance, and DS games because I don’t get the speaker buzz when I record from these sources. Only when I try to capture sound from a console will I have a buzz, and that just won’t do.

Not complete. ripping from ubisoft files is not easy.

Anybody have the PS2 start up one? I don’t think the system had one but the games. PS3 "ding" would be cool too.

I don’t, sorry. I only bothered to copy the PSone startup. The best way you could do that is if you go to YouTube and search for "Console Startup Sounds." Use a downloadable sound recorder that may or may not record in .mp3, and record it while the relevant sound plays. That should lead you in the right direction.

Oh, and Orange, I’m not too picky about the completeness of the Red Steel rip, just more or less correct tags. I mean, there’s enough there to qualify a full soundtrack. I mean, there was two parts to it as it was, and divShare only allows 200 mb at a time, which is quite a bit.

Well i have upped the rerip to my goldmine thread, it has correct tags to the filenames it was ripped from.

Tracks are of higher quality, and files are differnet because of the ubisdoft system, its not easy ripping those files and thats why they come out the way they are.

This most recent update may or may not be a letdown.

Regarding MarioKart Wii: See, I’m working on trying to conserve what space I have left in my divShare account. I’m given 5 gb for free, which may or may not be a downside to the service. Anyways, to counteract filling up the space quickly, I’ve figured that I could provide direct downloads to other sources for the larger and more popular soundtracks. In this case, it’s to Video Game Scrap Book (www.videogamescrapbook.com) for MarioKart Wii. It’s actually where I got it from anyways, and so it provides you with a direct download to the MarioKart Wii soundtrack, which saves me space on my divShare account and time. He may have split it up a bit, but it will probably take as much time to download from his site as it would from one big download. Or you could go through the torrent he provides as well.

Regarding Twilight Princess: As with the saving of space this is another issue. But in my listing, I described it as Nintendo Power’s Official OST for TP. This includes a mere seven tracks versus 182 that the actual soundtrack could supply. So to not let you down completely, I provided a link to another thread with a full rip (with echo effects and such). So if you want a short download of seven tracks in the official official soundtrack, you have that choice, or if you want the full 182 track listing of a rip, you have that option as well. Take note; that I’m planning on downloading the full rip, but I will not be posting it on my list as a download from divShare so as to conserve what space I have left. I hope you understand. Let’s hope that the current links do not expire.

Today is special. Thanks to qqqqqqwe, I don’t have to rip Bomberman DS, and because he used divShare for his upload, I don’t have to upload it. So I provided the link here. Give him thanks if you download Bomberman DS, will ya?

And GTA Vice City. A bit of let down for me actually. I was thinking that the formatting for the audio in the PC version of VC was going to be the same as it was for GTA III. Not so. Rockstar so nicely put the Radio Station files in an .adf format, so I couldn’t copy those off the disc. So I copied what ambiance I could that was listenable, and put it in a neat package. I also ripped the title sequence and opening credits for good measure. So if you’re looking for those, it’s there. I couldn’t edit the tags for the files that I found on the disc. If you have a program that can override the security for these files, more power to you. The tags that I have for the tracks I recorded are the correct identity of those tracks so you have something to go off of. For those looking for the specific Radio Stations of Vice City, I’ve provided a link to competizione360’s thread where he uploaded the stations himself. Please look into that if you’re interested.

I added a link to GoronMoron’s full gamerip of Donkey Kong 64 for those who are interested. It has everything, including some extras.

An interesting development. Apparently, the most popular download, according to divShare, is the Red Steel soundtrack with 36 downloads. However, it seems the one .zip file (the first part) is only being downloaded. I dunno what exactly is going on, but I should at least mention that you guys should probably be downloading both parts.

See, divShare only allows for 200mb max per file. So this means, if I have a file that’s larger than 200mb, I have to somehow split it up. So what I did, in Red Steel’s case — as well as a few others — I split the soundtrack up into two parts and put it in the same folder under one link. The Red Steel folder has two .zip files, and I only have to link to the folder. See, perfect organization.

The reason I mention this, is that no one has even bothered to download the second part to the Red Steel soundtrack, but 36 have downloaded the first part.

One would think that it would be quite obvious, but obviously, it has been overlooked.

Just figured I’d say something.

Oh, and I’m currently working on putting together the startups, so expect to see those soon too.

As per the request of the GTA III thread, I’ve provided the GTA III soundtrack, with a couple of extras. All radio stations and other music worth listening to. Just remember to download Chatterbox as well. You don’t want to miss that.

And Fantasy Hero Boy (a.k.a. qqqqqqwe) has generously provided a link to his Asphalt Urban GT rip, which, once again relieves me of this duty. Give him a hollar if you download his rips.

Also, to help keep this thread afloat, don’t be afraid to share your thanks and requests. I’ll also keep you guys updated on what I’ve added to the list. Speaking of which, I took the time to rip Integrity 2.0 a.k.a. The Lazlow Show and some random radio ads from Grand Theft Auto IV (these are not available in the GTA IV Box Set Thread!!!). Also, as a final note: I believe I can get around divShare’s 5gb limit by using a separate email address (duh!), so I should have an additional 5gb to play with. So don’t be afraid to request anything from my list.

I figured another request was bound to show up. For those who are picky, the files are actually labeled Biohazard 4 instead of Resident Evil. But Resident Evil is what it’s called in the US, so screw you. In any case, it’s there, and I split up the soundtrack into its respective discs, since it is a two disc set. So don’t forget to download the second one.

In other news; I’ve added the MegaMan 9 full gamerip and the V for Vendetta Original Soundtrack to my collection.

And I should note that the RE4 OST is provided compliments of Evil Unleashed (www.evilunleashed.com). You can also get the rest of the RE soundtracks as well as any of the Silent Hill soundtracks from the site. Then there’s some random Evil Dead stuff too.

I know this must be getting annoying, but one has to propagate his thread by keeping it on top of the pile in hopes that it gets noticed.

Anyways, I’ve added quite a few Zelda soundtracks, including both NES titles, Four Swords Adventures, and Majora’s Mask. I’m working on getting them all in there. I also added the F-Zero Arranged and F-Zero X: Guitar Arrange to my collection, so that should be a nice bonus.

A side note: the Majora’s Mask soundtrack I’ve acquired is of higher quality than the one that GoronMoron provides on his list. I know this, because I downloaded his, was unsatisfied, and went and found another that isn’t located on this site or GH.

I’ve also opened up the link to the Voices of the Lifestream OCremix remix project for those who are interested. Just a way to guide those who want more FFVII remixes in the right direction. I don’t have all of them downloaded so I’m not going to host them, but the other selections I’m open to providing a single download on divShare.

I’m also planning on providing uploads to those soundtracks that I’ve unfaithfully not provided (ie: MarioKart Wii and Twilight Princess). At this point, I’m not too worried about space issues.

Hey, I’ve actually uploaded something! I also decided to upload both MarioKart Wii and Twilight Princess because I was a bit unfaithful on that side of town. But they’re there now. Twilight Princess comes in two parts, so make sure you download both if you want the whole thing. Don’t come crying to me when you end up only having half of the soundtrack when you’ve only downloaded the one part. Same goes for any of the other one’s that are contained in folders.

Hey guys, I just recently came across the soundtrack to Chex Quest in .ogg format. I’ve been looking for this for awhile. I figured, since the tags are correctly labeled, I would just leave it as .ogg. It work’s on Winamp, so it’s not really mattering that much to me. However, if there is a demand for the Chex Quest soundtrack to be in mp3, I can take the time to convert them over.

I’ve just added the soundtrack to Street Fighter II Turbo HD Remix to the list. All tracks were submitted by the folks from OverClocked Remix.

Kinda figured this one would be requested right away. lol Just FYI, it doesn’t have everything because a lot of the game has chords and screeching, that only lasts a little less than thirty seconds, for "music" as a mood creator. So I’ve provided the listenable tracks, one of which includes the Witch’s theme. I hope this has enough of what you need.

Really, all it boils down to is the tracks that have listenable music. I cut out the samey tracks that sounded the same as the next track over, but with a higher octave. Most of the ambient screeching I removed, however I kept a couple just to have included a sampling of that. Not all of that was needed. However, I kept the Tank, Witch, Smoker, and Hunter themes as well as the signature Horde theme too. And there’s quite a bit more substantial stuff as well. I removed all the nonsense so you don’t have to weed through them yourself. Once again, I hope this is satisfactory.

They were ripped from the Japanese version of the OST (the actual release, these aren’t gamerips), however, I have acquired the opening sequence tracks (the one’s with singing) in English. If this is satisfactory enough, I’ll upload them for you.

For the record, I was surprised I was able to get Smash Bros. in at all. So for the first time ever (on a free server!!!) the entire Super Smash Bros. Brawl Soundtrack is available in a single download!!! (Bolded for emphasis). Don’t know how long it will take to download (because it’s just under 2 gigs), but it’s now currently available, never to be taken down. But guys, do let me know if it works, because I am unsure of whether or not it uploaded correctly because my girlfriend accidentally closed the browser during the upload. If I don’t hear anything, I’ll assume that everything is in order.

I love divShare. You people should all be using it because it gives you 10gb free. You really can’t argue with that.

Not a problem.

New news. I’ve officially completed my second game rip (the first one being 1942 for arcades). I like to post obscure titles, and this fits the bill, mainly because no one would even bother. But this is testing ground, people. The game I ripped is:

Atari Arcade Classics – GBA

OK, so it’s just one song, but it’s a start. Officially, the game(s) doesn’t even have a name. It’s actually two releases, but they’re really companion titles for individuals who want to buy three old Atari games for five dollars on their GBA.

The games included within these two "compilations" are as follows:

Break Out!
Warlords

Cartridge 2:
Pong
Asteroids
Yar’s Revenge

They’re actually not that bad, for their age. Give the games a check at your local Rom Download site, and download the music here. lol — what little there is.

The song is actually kinda catchy. It’s not great, but it’s there to serve it’s purpose, and that is what it does well.

Added the Prince of Persia: The Official Trilogy Soundtrack to the list. It was a belated Christmas present, so now I offer it up to you guys.

My third official rip is now completed. Yet another GBA title: Ballistic: Ecks vs Sever. Believe it or not, this game has some pretty tight tunes going on here. Intense electronica beats abound. The game was decent, but if you didn’t like the game, you really can’t discount the music, which was cool in its own right — for a GBA game that is. More than one track this time too, so I think I’ve gotten past the single track tests.

Sorry, DoomMaster. It’s unfortunate that you didn’t read my first post. But I shall reiterate for your benefit. I have listed the soundtracks I currently own. If you would like one that doesn’t have a link, just ask, and I’ll upload it. I figured this was easier than uploading everything — especially since there’s no guarantee that anyone would take advantage of them. So, if you need anything from my list I’ll gladly provide it.

You must first find a place to host your music. I would suggest divShare. After that has been straightened out, create a thread with links to your soundtracks. If you need a tutorial on ripping, there’s a thread for that.

Looks like all the links were changed. Perhaps an admin changed them? But as far as I know, divShare hasn’t said anything about FFShrine, and they haven’t called me out yet.

Edit: The admin put a word replace function (or whatever it’s called) on divshare so that the links can’t be traced back to FFShrine. I think it’s retarded, but to say the least, I will find a way to make it most convenient for you guys.

Added Beat Hazard for the 360 to the list, very much thanks goes to Jessie once again.

So I’ve took it upon my self to "Wave Out Mix" rip Beat Hazard for the PC by just using the game’s demo and a trial version of Total Recorder. TR "recorded" it nicely, save for the fact that it inserts a small strip of white noise every minute or so, but the tracks are completely enjoyable, so if you have a need or want to play through the PC version’s music on the 360 version (or vice versa), you can now.

I’ve also acquired a rip of Battlefield 2: Modern Combat from Jessie, so give that a look as well.

Oh, and Sarah was nice and unblocked the phrase "divshare.com" so all the links work correctly now.

Got my grubby little hands on a full rip of Wii Fit Plus. Incidentally, it has all the music from Wii Fit, so a rip from there is unnecessary. The list has been promptly updated.

Since I’m such a nice guy, I’ll show you where you can download your HumbleBundle soundtracks as well as providing a nifty download link on the primary post:

You’re probably already familiar with this page, considering you have to download your games from this point. Everyone who buys into a HumbleBundle receives their own unique URL with which they may download their games. Keep your confirmation emails, so you can always come back and redownload everything if you need to. In any case, Swords & Sworcery was released in the most recent Bundle. Find that email, and you should be led here. Scroll down until you see where you can choose the desired platform with which to download the game of your choice. Instead of choosing PC, Mac, or Linux, select "Soundtracks". Obviously, you will see your links change from the normal download links for either .flac or .mp3 versions of the soundtracks. All Humble Bundles, save for the first one, work this way. So download away!

I also received a request for the Aquaria soundtrack, so I will be converting that to MP3, and uploading that soon as well.

I may just be having problems on my end, but I’m not seeing links for any of the Star Wars movie music. Also, all three of the Matrix movie links don’t seem to work anymore. 🙁

The Matrix movie links seem to work again, but the link to the first Matrix movie just brings up a screen about how it’s a "private file." Also, I’ve been going through the tracks for the second and third matrix movies, as well as the Animatrix. The Animatrix and Matrix Revolutions sets seem to be complete, but there are six tracks missing from the Matrix Reloaded set.

They include: "This Is the New Shit," "Reload," "Lucky You," "Bruises," "Calm Like a Bomb," and "When the World Ends." Some of those are favorites of mine, so could you add them to the set, or tell me where else I might look to get downloadable versions of them?

There were issues with the FFShrine forums when I was updating the first post. I have every intention of providing those links, just didn’t get a chance when FFShrine crashed on me. Regardless, I only have the instrumentals available for the The Matrix Reloaded soundtrack. Just not what I’m into. Despite this fact, I can provide a link for the remaining files, or at least direct you to the appropriate thread that will have them at the very least.
