Welcome to my game rip thread!

I am open to requests, but I will also upload random rips that I have made.

Rules:

1) Please thank me if you decide to take something. I spend a lot of time on these rips, and feel very pissed if I get 100 downloads on a three-month rip and 5 thanks.

2) Don’t flood me with requests.

3) I will rip Western game music only – not Japanese or anime – none of that. This site has plenty of that already.

4) Be patient – I’m a busy person and it may take a while to get to your request.

5) I don’t do reups. Sorry to say this but I’m frankly worrying more about trying to keep up with your requests than to reupload dead links. Sorry, but you’re gonna have to ask someone who already has it to reup.

6) Platforms I rip: PC, PS2, PSP, XBOX, PS1

Divine Divinity and Wow Burning crusade in next update, I dunno when that’s going to be. I am really busy this week so the earliest I can get it updated is probably late this weekend or early next week. Wow burning crusade is quite large for me – 3.5 gigs so I dunno when I can get it by. And you say Patch update? What update is that? Like are there multiple patches or is there just 1? Divine divinity’s a smaller game so I can get it sooner. 🙂 But I’m having some disk space problems because I’m also ripping Syphon Filter Logan’s Shadow and Full Auto 2 Battlelines for practice at PSP ripping and I have a problem on Logan’s Shadow and no one’s helping me, so it might take a little longer to clear up some disk space. Don’t worry, I’ll get my hard drive cleaned up sooner or later. This might also be a pretty ambitious rip – Far Cry 2 but I might try to rip it. It came out today. But I heard orangec would do it so I dont know if Ill rip it or not – Orangec’s rip would be much better. So keep on requesting I’ll get to them as soon as I can.

I’m uploading Full Auto 2 Battlelines OST tomorrow – it’s awesome – rock, techno, metal, ambient – seriously, it’s a pretty diverse score. It’s gonna be pretty big since it’s 320 kb/s quality and there’s a lot of music. End product will probably be 200 – 300 megabytes. 🙂 After that will be Logan’s Shadow or Divine Divinity! Hmmm… I can’t find anything solid, but since the default format for PlayStation games are .psf, try changing it to that if you haven’t already. That’s what I did for SFLS. Changed the wavs to at3s. If that doesnt work, Ill continue to research the format.

Internet actually allowed me to download today a bit! Divine Divinity was having trouble downloading, so I downloaded the Call of Duty 5 World At War PC Beta instead! The music is……AWESOME. I still have to convert it but that won’t take too long. The score is HUGE…prabably around 400-500 megabytes. I’ll be posting it as soon as my internet is back to full condition! The score’s a very modern score…which is kinda weird considering that the game takes place in WWII….plenty of electro beats and guitars….Pretty damn good.

Finished it! Finally. It wasn’t easy though, because I had gotten a faulty iso and it didn’t install, so I had to open the isos manually and extract the sound .cmp which I had no idea how to open. Luckily I remembered that I had Novasoft Extractor, and it came in handy. Scanned the cmp and found all the sound files, and BAM! 64 tracks and 1300 1/2 – 4 second sound effects…. I’m doubting that anyone wants these, but if anyone wants em then speak up because if you don’t I won’t include em in the release. This is because there are 1300 of em, and I don’t want to have to convert em all, considering that they’re only 1/2 – 4 seconds long. F.E.A.R. Perseus Mandate’s done, around 250 megs. Divine Divinity’s 100 megs without the SFX and 150 with em. I changed my mind about CoD5 I’ll just upload it all in one release. The music is scattered all around so I’ll just put it all in one BIG release. It will be somewhere around 500-600 megabytes. Logan’s Shadow’s done. 300~400 megabytes for Pack 2. And about the WoW Burning Crusade + Patch Music, well, I’ll get to that soon. 🙂 Sorry for taking so long on that request. 🙁 Then come the Simpsons game and Pirates at world’s end. Then the highly anticipated Mark of Kri and Rise of the Kasai… hope it’s not multiple streams. :-/

Technician hasn’t come yet, internet’s not fixed… 🙁 Hopefully he or she will come soon.

Ends up it was smaller than I thought. ~350 megs. Sorry for mis info. Anyways, I was being stupid and forgot that the RapidUploader was in existence. So now I can upload it fine. 😀 It’s still upping though, since I have to limit my upload speed or else my internet gets screwed up. Next rip I’ll use MegaManager. I personally like Megaupload better just that the site has a bunch of pretty graphics that aren’t easy to load with my internet probs. But with MegaManager I have hopes.

@alfrodo – No problem. In Cod5 Waw the music is mostly in the iw_04, sound, stream, music folder. It’s also in the iw_03 folder. If you want voices, battlechatter, it’s in the iw_05 folder. Most SFX are in iw_02. Sorry for the confusion.

Err valherran… I think I screwed upon the Lost Vikings 2 rip… I’m not an expert at PSX rips… I’ll upload what I have. I had this 50 minute clip but it’s corrupted…i dunno. And that leaves only a little left, and it sounds really weird. I’ll upload what I have. Tell me if it’s what you’re looking for. If not I think you’re better off asking someone who’s an expert at PSX ripping…I just don’t have a thing for PSX. Any PSP, PC, maybe PS2 i can do, but this…iono.

RE2 what do you mean by in video game appearance? I should be able to do that one.
No clue how to rip Snes.

Dead Space? Eh? Getting the game’s not the problem, it’s the audio format. Anyway Kataah did a rip already and Orangec is gonna include it in his next update. Im trying to finish other rips right now, and there’s no point in ripping it again since Kataah already did it. Anyway his rip would be much much better than mine, if I could even rip the music. 😉

Hey pietastesgood I use 7-zip to extract the music from this site that are mostly in a rar zip format. Every time I extract it it says a broken file error. Can you help me fix it? Or suggest another zip extracting program. Also the links of Silent Hill 5 are working for me now I guess it was a technical error on my computer. But I still get that errer has I mentioned above. Anyways Im vary thankful you rip the game music you rip. Thank you.

Bad news. Can’t figure out Suffering. There’s no audio folder anywhere in the game. I can still do it though, I hope, by recording the music while playing the game (i can actually RUN this one =D) but the quality will probably lower and it will take longer too…hope the game doesn’t lag or else the music’ll be screwed up too…

Hitting problems on Psi Ops too, found the music but can’t convert or open it. According to hex editor it’s a riff wave file but can’t open it still. Gonna have to take a while to figure this one out too…and I can’t run the damn game even though my system almost meets the requirements (yeah i know my computer sucks like hell)

Still examining the others.

hey piestastesgood……..I’m just curious……by reading here and there, from what I understand, you can download an .iso for a game and simply open it up and look for the music files? And of course, convert them into a proper format……is it about the gist of it? Thanks 🙂

Afraid it’s not that easy. You have to install the game too. But that’s the easy part. The hard part is converting the audio files from a proprietary format into a common format such as mp3 or ogg. If you can’t find a tool to convert it, then you have to use a hex editor to figure out what the format is. The last resort is to record the music while playing the game.
Sometimes you can’t even find the music, such as in the Suffering. No music folder anywhere. No big archive files. The music could be anywhere. Sometimes ripping can be quite hard, I’m afraid. It gets easier as you rip for longer.

@khillyov it’s okay, I can get the Ps2 dvd easily. I’ll try ripping that, I’ve no clue how to rip DS.

The music seems to be in .psb format, which right now is extremely difficult to convert, nearly impossible. I may be incorrect but it seems that no matter what PSX ripping tool I use it doesn’t help. I’m gonna keep working on it. Sorry.

As of now, Mark of Kri is well underway, nice score. Psi Ops I’ve been able to rip the cinematics, will include in next update, no luck for music unfortunately. Bad news about Bia D-day, the PSP has encrypted audio files, isn’t working right. I can’t convert them – I might have to abandon this project, sorry. Rise of the Kasai and some Socoms will be next project. I’ve converted orangec’s suffering ties that bind score into mp3, will include in next update. (if it’s okay with you orange.)

All right, Mark of Kri’s pretty much done, just need to loop and fade in and out tracks and it’ll be uploaded, Psi Ops cinematics converted, music no luck still. Rise of the Kasai is what I’m working on now along with some other rips.

And ty to orange for letting me upload his suffering ii score. expect that as well.

Edit: Mark of Kri done. 320 kb/s except for some Barbarian mixes which are 160 kb/s cuz the source files were only 160 kb/s. ~200 megs. Includes cinematics. Couldn’t find a lot of music in this one, pure music is only about 100 – 150 megs. Rest is cinematics. But the music is pure awesome. Juno Reactor did a great job.

hey pie just to let you know the suffering uses raw PCM as audio, go to the world diectory and you should find the music stream. then load it into any audio editor to look at the waveform.

Just a heads up.

I’m not going to be ripping for a while. I’m very busy from mid January till June. During summer break I wont be at home so it’ll be hard for me to rip and that kind of stuff. When school resumes in September it’s a new year, and it’ll take a while to get comfortable again, and I’ll be busy still then with AP classes and the like. I’ll be pretty busy from then on. I don’t know when I’ll be back. I’ll keep my Released Original Soundtracks thread going and update periodically.

As of this thread…
You have until December 20th, 2008 to request all you want. After that date, requests are closed for good. I will do those rips and no more until life’s settled down a bit.

Well, I’d be very pleased if you could make a rip from Batman: Rise of Sin Tzu, X-Men Legends, Justice League Heroes, and Marvel Ultimate Alliance… All these games are PS2 but are also on GameCube and/or Xbox, PC…

Here’s a question, why "Spider-man 2", its already been ripped, or it is that you want the cut-scene scores from the game. Because if thats the case, the voice over will be with like a Radio Drama, unless something can be done about that. Just give you the truth, dude, thats all.

Suffering links upped. Not fancy, but nicely tagged. I just recorded the music. @orangec, I didnt find the music streams. Ubisoft uses RAW PCM for there SS varaint for splinter cell essentials, just load them in a audio editing app and you get the waveform of the music uncompressed.

I’m sorry Valherran, it seems that Lost Vikings uses some format that I can’t make sense of. And yeah, I guess it fits the deadline, but there aren’t any rips out and the iso’s too big… I’ll wait and see if toed makes a SR2 rip and see what happens.

Marvel’s proving to be tricky, Cube Media distorts the music, so I’ll have to hex it to find the offsets and go to mfplayer.

Perseus Mandate is downloading and if it doesnt prove to be a pain in the ass to rip, it should be in the next update.

Burning Crusade, which I’ve put off for a while, should come after that.

I’ll be here till end of March, then I’m going. My plans for the summer may have changed and I’ll still be able to rip. No guarantees though.

Then another week or so to sift through all the damn repeats and probably another two to loop and edit, since I’m busy with other rips as well. BTW Lego Rock Raiders is also done. Cool, that’s one I’d love to have. The only music I could get from this game is an extract found on the website of composer Tommy Tallarico (who was supposed to post more, but the site hasn’t been updated for a while, so I’ve lost hope)… It was a cue from a level where Spidey is chased by helicopters…

I’m very happy that MUA will be in your next update, pietastesgood, and I already thank you for having done it.

Requests are open once again!!!!

I have finished pretty much every rip before the December cutoff date, when I announced I was going to close down. Well, I may not close down after all.

The only rip I haven’t done from before then is Resident Evil 2, as I have no clue what the original poster meant by in videogame appearance, since I wouldn’t know when the music played in the game since I don’t have a Playstation 1 and it is not possible to find the order in which songs are played in the game if I merely have the audio files.

One important new rule is that I’d like you to thank me for a rip if you download it. I spend a lot of time on these rips and get pissed if I get 100 downloads on a rip and only get 5 thanks (which is often). For example, I’ve spent 5 months on Marvel Ultimate Alliance, and I’ve put everything into it. I predict I’m going to have a lot of downloads on that one. I really want thanks for rips like those. Come on guys, it doesn’t take that much effort to say thanks.

My next update will be this week. It is very large, as my next update will not be until late May or June. This is because I will be very busy until then.

My updates will come monthly now. Each update will be bigger, however, than my old updates. At least 10 rips each, unless I have a busy month or something. There will still be a May update, but it’ll be small and will be uploaded at the end of May or early June.

@scoreman, the rips in Generation 1 were pretty bad in my standards now, no loops no fades no tags, I’ve gotten better now though in Gen 2. 😉

My pleasure Jessie. By the way Lotr Conquest has a 58 minute suite because I couldnt find the endpoints of some music as the game utilized a really stupid archive that I couldnt extract files out of and I had to use GoldWave. Dark Messiah only had its music looped, not the ambience, had no time to loop 150 tracks of ambience. Shadowrun was perfect. 😉

Garry Schyman’s score for "DESTROY ALL HUMANS! – Path Of The Furon".
Full orchestral score in 70’s music style, with Wah Wah guitars and
great action-orientated music passages !

Once again Garry Schyman proofed that he’s one of the very best
Video Game Composers – he composes in a very cinematic way
(like Christopher Lennertz and Chris Tilton do).

As kataah already did a complete game rip of DESTROY ALL HUMANS! 2
some time ago that is superb I think a game rip of "DESTROY ALL HUMANS! – Path Of The Furon" would make a great companion.

Hello, can you please re-rip the 2nd part of Syphon Filter: Logan’s Shadow? The tracks for the second part keeps skipping every 3-4 seconds; I previously thought that it was my computer’s problem when downloading the first time, but after downloading several times the problem persists. Thanks!

People probably already have the soundtracks from Ys 1 and 2 because they are slightly old games and the PSP version is simply a port. I do not know if the PSP version has improved audio.

– New portraits for PSP version, but you can select the PSP version or PC version. Why are the PSP versions of this so much better than the Ys 7 art? Lilia :3
– Boss Rush mode added.
– Selectable music – PC-88 version, PC version and *** NEW PSP version.***
– Changes in the dialogue and new dialogue added.
– The idea to make it a full 3D remake came up every meeting they had, but to do so would effectively take as much effort as making a new game, so it came down to ‘Ys 7 or Ys 3D remake, pick one’. So they chose 7.

More on Ys 7:
– Ys 7 is set about half a year after 6.
– A long time ago Altago was ruled by five races – the people of the sea (Edona), earth (Shanua), fire (Segram), wind (Kairos), moon (Isuka). The five races worship the five dragons, and peace was maintained throughout the land. After many long years a number of the races have vanished from history, and the remainder live semi-autonomously across the land.
– Some bosses are weak against EX Skills.
– Largest scale in the Ys series so far – will take more than the usual 10 hours to explore thoroughly.
– The Dragon Knights are the official army of Altago province, embodying its own style. Successfully repelled the Romun Empire’s attempt to expand its territory and maintained control of the Medo Sea. Do you still happen to have Spyro 2: Ripto’s Rage!? I know there have been plenty of rips but, is it at all possible that you could get one song that isn’t in any of those rips? They go into the CD-ROM to get the music, you might use a capture card, I don’t know. Well during Skelos Badlands, you collect all of the bones for a skeloton, music plays while he dances. It’s easy to rip music in Spyro 2, just go to sound settings in the pause menu, and turn down SFX. Then find all of the bones and record the music. And I’m downloading Essentials, thanks for that.

Can you reupload Samurai Jack the Shadow of Aku gamerip because when I opened up the rar file containing the music all it had the Cinematics, speeches, and logos from the game but can you also put all the game level themes + Boss themes, and hub themes in there when you reupload Samurai Jack the Shadow of Aku gamerip and not just the Cinematics, speeches, and logos from cutscenes, and could you also find a gamerip called Dreamworks & Aardman Flushed Away Gamerip ?

I just wanted to say thank you for ripping the soundtrack for Boiling Point. I have a question. Might be a long shot. They use to have a interactive website for the game(It’s gone) There was a little green radio, it had 2 songs on it. Basically one of them was a heavy version of the main theme. Any idea where I could hunt that down? Been looking for ages.

It can but PC version quality is amazingly low, OGG with bitrate much lower than even 128 kbps so that the whole soundtrack takes 47 MBs… Not sure if you would really like to bother with it as there should be a rip from other platform.
