every fan of these soundtracks should order the new box set, which is now availible in some countries ( in germany 12.12.08). A dream comes true with this new box set. Finally we get the expanded version of "Temple of Doom" an "Last Crusade" in good quality.
Thats the good thing.
But there are some decisions I do not really understand. There is still music unreleased, some trackes are edited and cut down for no reason and the worst thing: they ripped the music appart which belongs together! Especially the "Doom" OST. Every music which belongs together is cut into several tracks. It’s really annoying and I can’t listen to this anymore.
So I did my own edit. the purpose of this edit is to get back the moviefeeling when you listen to OST …

P.S.: I inserted all the tracks from CD5 where they belong … 🙂
Details of my edit:
RAIDERS:
1.) I merged the first three tracks (In the jungle; The Idol Temple; Escape from the Temple) into one track without annoying breaks …
2.) The track "Desert Chase" were cut down for no reason! There are three cuts, two minor cuts and on big cut in the last part of the track. I did put all the cutted material back where it belongs. I used the old SILVA cd.
DOOM:
1.) I merged Track 2, 3 and 4 (Indy Negotiates; Night Club Brawl; Fast Streets Of Shanghai) into one track. The prolog can now be listen like in the movie.
2.) I merged Track 5 and 6 (Map – Out Of Fuel; Slalom At Mt. Humol) together. At the end is the part missing where Indy reaches the village. I like this part of the music so much, so I inserted some of the bootleg material here …
3.) I merged track 10, 11 and 12 ( Nocturnal Activities; The Secret Passage; Bug Tunnel – Death Trap) together.
4.) I merged track 16 – 19 ( Short Round Escapes; Saving Willie; Slave Children’s Crusade; Short Round Helps) together. Now it’s a big action piece. Note: I can’t do anything about the qaulity changes within the track. There is no better source I think …
5.) I merged track 21 – 23 (Water; The Sword Trick; The Broken Bridge – British Relief) together – and the percussion part from the bootleg. I am really pissed about the fact that this part of this great soundtrack is missing on the box set!!!!!!!
5.) I merged the tracks 24 and 25 ( Return To The Village; End Credits) together to have them like the movie ends …
LAST CRUSADE
1.) I merged Track 1 and 2 (Indy’s Very First Adventure; The Boat Scene) together. I always liked the transission in the movie, so I did it with the score too …
2.) I merged track 9 – 11 (The Austrian Way; Alarm; Sherzo for Motorcycle) together.
3.) I merged track 18 – 20 (Death Of Kazim; On The Tank; Belly Of The Steel Beast) together. I always wanted the this action piece as one track …
EDIT:
I did a mistake with this edit. The track "On the Tank" splits "Belly Of The Steel Beast" in half. So my first cut is wrong.
I tried to get as close to the moviesound as possible. It’s not really the version of the movie, cause these action sequence seemed to be cut down at the end of production. Mor then 90 seconds from "Belly Of The Steel Beast" are not in the movie …
Hope you enjoy this great music, and buy the box …

Did you source the missing 30 seconds of music for the TOD end credits from a bootleg? You may want to rip the DVD audio for a good portion of that added music, since it sounds better.
I made my own edit of the end credits for Temple of Doom. I used the DVD rip for most of the missing section, and a section from the Return to the Village track to fill in the rest. It sounds pretty seamless, but since some of the music is just tracked from another point, it’s not 100% accurate. It’s pretty close though.

Outstanding work, Jimbo! Thanks so much for sharing this.
wow … sounds amazing. Where can I get this DVD Rip of "TOD"?
Direx
I ripped the audio myself using DVD Decrypter. I then blended the track together using Audacity. Both Decrypter and Audacity are free online. It came in handy when I wanted the end credits suite of Goblet of Fire and Order of the Phoenix since the OSTs lacked them.
If you combine "Return to the Village-Raiders March" with the DVD, you’re left with about ten seconds of sound effects and voices from the very end of the movie (kids cheering). In order to fill the gap, I cheated by pulling similar sounding music.
The full edit is "Return to the Village" (entire track), then blend in "Return to the Village" 01:18-01:25, then blend it with the DVD audio for about twenty seconds, then blend that with the remainder of the "End Credits" track.
Thank You Very Much.
I know the fact that the tracks on CD are recorded one by one. They were edited later in the final mix.
I did this version because i wanted to listen the film version of the music. Without any breaks. English is not my mother language so may be I took the wrong words to explain …
Hope you enjoy this version …

p.s. kudos to jimbotron235 for his mp3 as well.
wonderfull work but track Belly of steel besast from crusade is still bad.
There is a mistake on it. You said you laready put the correct edit.
Am i worng?
Thank you very much
"Belly Of Steel Beast" is absolutly correct. Thats the way they edited the two tracks together. The edit in the movie is much more worse than mine … 🙂

ou altered the scene, you put the tank over the car, after indy jump on the tank from the horse.
In the movie this is not this way.
Please, see the movie.
Thanks in advance!
I’ll upload the files via "megaupload" in the next days. Promise …

But thanks anyway!
You dont answer me, Direx.
Did you see Last Crusade again?
Did you listen to the music on the TANK SCENE?
Overall it’s made like in the movie, but not exactly … satisfied???
Direx
I put the correct cut, and i didnt lose any second.
Simply put the insert in the correct second, and you obtain the entire music.
You did a wrong edit, but you think you are right. You said your edit is "BETTER THAN THE FILM ONE" OH GOD!, Im not satisfied.
