Feel free to take a visit to the forum (http://forum.sonicarchive.org/) and the irc channel (irc.lostsignalnetwork.com #sonicarchive). Thanks to everyone for supporting us.
Anyway we do have True Blue in FLAC:). Just head for the channel (http://www.soniconthenet.org/viewtopic.php?f=5&t=2686) and we’ll show you the HTTP download.

Cool to see that you’re still searching for Sonic series music in lossless format. May suggest a little "quality control"?
As I’ve been reading throughout the internets :), encoding in lossless format is kinda useless on it’s own unless accompanied by the appropriate files needed for reconstructing the original data of the source disc, otherwise without these additional files, it pretty much defeats the point of encoding in "lossless" since you wouldn’t have the data that the original disc contained; which equals loss. π If sound quality is the only concern here, you’d probably be better off encoding in some high quality lossy format, however…
…if it’s your goal to have a 1:1 copy of the original disc (digitally speaking), then for the purpose of quality control, may I suggest that when requesting these Sonic soundtracks, or ripping them yourself, that you point people to the appropriate tools and information needed for making that perfect (1:1) error-free copy?
Now sure there are a lot of EAC tutorials out there but why would I recommend any of them when I’ve created my own, and got it approved by members of the official forums to the Exact Audio Copy website. π How To Make 1:1 Copies of Audio CDs Using Exact Audio Copy (http://www.soniconthenet.org/viewtopic.php?f=16&t=2656)
Because I am personally interested in this project, I am willing to assist anyone that’s willing to rip their Sonic albums using my tutorial. After a rip has been completed (even if it’s just one disc), I ask that You upload only the log file and the CUE sheet, I will then download them, inspect them for any errors and alert You to any settings that may need to be changed. There’s a whole section dedicated to inspection of the rip, by the way.
Also for the purpose of quality control, I strongly recommend that persons truthfully and accurately post the Catalog Number located somewhere on the album case. This can be used to check against the albums posted on VGMdb (http://vgmdb.net/db/main.php) to see if they are official copies or bootlegs. Potential for a bootleg is increased especially since most of these Sonic albums are out of print.
Anywho, I hope to be able to contribute something and I’m possibly that much closer to doing so now that I’ve found a few persons willing to contribute. π Cya.
"We" have been in collaboration with Sonic Retro for a while. And the result was way better than our expectation. Even though we’re currently in a little trouble…
(Full story here) (http://forums.sonicretro.org/index.php?showtopic=13499)
But here’s a scoop: In fact that "trouble" is about to be solved in just a week or two. We’ll simply re-upload all the stuff we got then, and even more.
So I’m writing this in order to gather more attention and help from the lovely enthusiasts. Like, I heard that Huelen10 had claimed to rip Planetary Pieces in ALAC (http://forums.ffshrine.org/showthread.php?p=1208631#post1208631), and CyberSpark had found "a few persons willing to contribute" (LOL direct quote). I really appreciate all the efforts. And I sincerely request your permission that your contributions be included as part of PF&Sonic Music Archive in the future.
We have an "official" IRC channel too so feel free to pay a visit:

(Indeed because SeanieB told me to grab more people in and make the channel lively:))
Ever since this website was moved to its new server (which explains why the site was down for a while), there have been missing posts and threads throughout the site.
Thread 64126
Personally, I want 1:1 copies of the originals, therefore, I’m obtaining these rips through different means. When/if I get them in, I’ll share them as the replacement to the ones without proper offset correction and stuff. π
Before I link You to the Forums of that website, there are a few things You’ll need to know:
During registration, You’ll have to type down the name of the website (www.vgmu.net) in one of the boxes for confirmation.
To download links from the Forums, You’ll first need to register and then post a comment in the thread where You’re trying to access the link.
I will not be sharing direct links! It would be unfair to the person that uploaded the files especially considering the way in which the site works (via points given to the uploader per person that downloads the archive).
That’s pretty much it. Here’s the link: Video Game Music Union -.:Trade Center|Download Zone:. (http://www.vgmu.net/bbs/forumdisplay.php?fid=31)
Thread 64126
Of course it’s reasonable but what about the original links that seemed broken to me? (http://forums.sonicretro.org/index.php?showtopic=13499&view=findpost&p=287818) Maybe someone can still try them out and transfer the files to the archive.
I got a new 30 gig ipod and i’m up for some music π

This project is intended to release Sonic music in lossless formats, usually FLAC or APE, formats that any iPod will not support except with hacked firmware (Rockbox) to decode the former. If you want lossless music for your iPod, Huelen10 has uploaded Sonic the Hedgehog (Next-Gen) Original Soundtrack and Sonic World Adventure: Planetary Pieces (upload links missing from the site at the moment) in ALAC (.m4a). You could also try to re-encode the non-ALAC files into lossless .m4a files to play on your iPod. Truth be told, players in the Eastern market are better suited for lossless formats than those found in the West.
Those PP links could be found here (http://forums.sonicretro.org/index.php?showtopic=13499&st=200&p=287818&#entry287818). However, I’m not sure whether the files have expired or not…
I only managed to get the tracks I’ve listed below, can anyone tell me what I’m missing, or better yet upload what I’m missing? I tried to find a torrent for Lossless SA2 but with no luck.
Also I’d love to know that the proper tags for this album are as I have a few versions of this and they all have different tags.

(Not to self: The 1st post might have become a bit misleading already—edition planned.)
1st Post kinda updated, phew.
Edit: Request again—Tales Of Knighthood & Face To Faith, who got them in lossless?
If you’d compress it using the exact same APE settings and torrent it the files I and everyone else have should be usable.
(COME ON, CHECK THE FIRST POST AGAIN ALREADY)
By the way, hi Vrantheo and Cyberspark!!!
By the way, hi Vrantheo and Cyberspark!!!
Sup.
Who are you by the way? lol.
Who are you by the way? lol.
Sorry, my bad :(. I thought you were also another member from soniconthenet.org.
Sorry.
I wanted to help Vrantheo and Goudy on the original Project Fidelity compilation. I ripped the Sonic Adventure Digilog Conv. into FLAC, but i was never been able to upload it…. the old times…
Umm, "original Project Fidelity compilation"? I remember someone else mentioned that a bit earlier. (http://forums.sonicretro.org/index.php?s=&showtopic=13499&view=findpost&p=301537) All we need to do now is to wait until Seanie get his new server running (inb4 I almost forgot to put up a spoiler warning), and I’m sure you will have the chance to do your upload then.
BTW
Unfortunately, I wasn’t able the get the ALAC version of Sonic The Hedgehog – 2006 (Sonic NextGen).
I saw a FLAC version on SonMA before. I assume that soon it will be re-uploaded to the new server too.
Anyway, we’ve been hanging with SonMA, VGMU, TKA and lots of other collaborators for such a long time and Gourry still appears missing? A big part of our "old stuff" is still under his maintenance…
CUTS, FINNALLY, UNLEASHED!!!
(Thanks to TKA again, so go revise the first post once more.)

To all those downloading FLACs from TKA, you’re welcome! (since that section is entirely my responsibility).
Need more FLACs…
If you can, please upload it to http://tails.kicks-ass.net I’ll make sure to add it so everyone else can download it ASAP.
I’ll be looking out for SatBK FLACs in the future (I don’t think it exists yet)
By the way if you guys want Sonic CD i would be glad to upload it
To others: SonMA new server is up! Go re-upload a lot! (http://forum.sonicarchive.org/)
