Bah cara, pior que t??? dif???cil conseguir em britate maior! Um cara postou um forum ou site (n???o tenho certeza) chin???s aqui no f???rum dizendo que l??? tinha algumas OST’s e AST’s com CBR superior, por???m, quando acessei o lugar, n???o conseguia fazer o download.
S??? n???o posto o lugar pra ti procurar, porque n???o lembro. Tamb???m n???o consigo mais encontrar o post do cara no f???rum, porque quando foi mudado o servidor do forum o t???pico que ele havia postado se perdeu!

The ’98 Ultimate Match Original Sound Track you have there is missing #8 off of the first disc (Kurikinton – Fatal Fury Team). You may want to look into it.

Anyway, there are some problems with the part 1 with the link of the KOF 00 OST Part 1

The kof 2003 OST don’t have the track 1 (opening)

And the Neowave arrange miss the tracks 1,2,3,4

Download this file and I can not open it I use the WinAce someone can help me open it

The 98UM AST is confusing me. It’s there in small parts but I can’t seem to access the 2nd and 3rd files with WinRAR. Only the 1st and the 4th. It saves them as ".001" and ",002" files.

BTW, the 98UM gamerip may or may not be an actual gamerip. I played them and they play out like the full versions of the original arranged songs on the ASTs. Seoul Town isn’t the new version either.

Is that really how they are in the sound test? Not that I don’t like it, it’s just that it doesn’t feel like an actual "rip", you know?

Either way, I could always wait for MoryaMug to make one.

As much as I appreciate the efforts, I have a problem. I too have been downloading the KOF 96 OST, and when I open it(no problems, I’m using IZArc) and play it, some tracks are not playable(despite saying they are MP3 files), and the few that do play sound like they’re literally being scratched out. Am I alone in having this problem, or can someone tell me what I’m doing wrong? Oh, and for the record, I have downloaded it multiple times…same problem each time.

He said that he made a compilation of other ASTs to take this soundtrack complete.
Rresume: Not a gamerip is only a compilation.

I will re-uploaded the "real" gamerip from PS2.

wow, great collection forest. I was looking for the 2002 Unlimited soundtrack. Just a heads up, I had some problems with the zip files. Got all the tracks to work except "Asian Triple Alliance" and "In Spite of One’s Age". Other than that Winrar was able to repair them all.

Question: I noticed that in 2001 AST, the track "The King of Fighters 2001 Staff Roll BGM [Staff Roll]" (as titled in the OST) is not included. Is there no such track in the AST version?

EDIT: I was comparing track lengths and titles to the original version and it seems that the tracks at the end may be mislabeled. Such as 28 should be 29, 27 should be 28, and so on. I’ll download the original to see what the missing track really is.

EDIT: I compared it to the original soundtrack and track 17 "Fighting Spirit No.2 [Joining In (HCC Screen)]" does not exist in the AST. Track 17 on the AST is actually track 18, and every track from there is one off. But since the real track 17 is only a single beat for about 2-5 seconds, it’s not a major loss. Still, it just means every track from 17-28 needs to be relabeled as 18-29.

What means FLAC?

It’s better than the originals or what?

FLAC means Free Losless Audio Codec. Wiki or Google it and you’ll get your answer. It’s basically kind of like CD quality in a digital format.

By the way, I was listening more to 2002 Unlimited Match and noticed that track 2-05 Asian Triple Alliance has hiccups in the first loop (at around 1:15 or so for quite a bit). Anyone else notice this too, or was it just my bad luck (not like it matters, I used a wave editor to fix it). I can’t say I noticed any other hiccups though.

-Chef-‘s right. Re:Bloody is the BOMB! Best of all the remixes (though I do like Esaka a bit too, considering I was never a huge fan of any of the Esaka tracks).

I’d love to get a hold of any lossless SNK tracks available, particularly the arranged ones. I’ve been dying to get those in FLAC for years.

The one I’ve had the hardest time finding in any kind of good quality is The King Of Fighters: Best Arranged from ’99.

Thanks for that link to Esaka from KOF XII. It sounds fantastic, and it’s a better remix than what we had in KOF2002:UM. Sounds more like the old sound team instead of a bunch of stereotypical J-pop synths.

I’ve extracted the .arc file from the Xbox 360 disc of KOF12, but I can’t find a decompressor to get the audio files from it. They’re in individual .bnk files. Anyone know of a utility to extract from these?

Extracting soundtracks from console games can be challenging as you need very specific tools.

Looking at the extension of files, they seem to bink audio/video files.

Unfortunately I don’t have the AST of KOF98, but I have a TOSEC rip of the NEO-Geo-CD-version of KOF98. There are short portions of the 98-AST in it. If you want I could post some links to it, if you do not already have it.

man i wrote it after i got a copy of the,i even wrote the lengths of the songs from CD’s lengths.that site is edit-able and i think it’s better than nothing,at least gives an idea what CD includes.

Pay attention that there is a password to unzip the file.
And differently from Snkhero’s flacs, in which each track is separated on its own file, this KOF 2000 AST has all of its tracks in an unique big flac file. This unique big flac file has all the information about the tracks, just like a "cue" would, but this information will only be viewed by selected media players that can read the information within the flac file. An example is foobar2000 (http://www.foobar2000.org/). In media players like Winamp, otherwise, you will only be able to play it as a very long unique track (I mean, Winamp won’t read the information within the file and view all the tracks separatedly).

This one was a bit slower to download, maybe because of the file being hosted on a FTP server. Anyway, I think it worths waiting the time.

This KOF ’94 AST lossless rip is in an unique big APE file, and doesn’t come with CUE. So in order to view all the tracks separatedly, it’s necessary to use a CUE file. I’ve created the CUE myself: I searched for this album on FreeDB and then imported the info I found using CueMaster to create the CUE (actually CueMaster did everything, I just had to look for the Disc-ID on FreeDB and insert it on the program).

Just rename the attached *.txt file (in the end of my post) to *.cue and it’s all done.

Otherwise, copy the following to NotePad (or similar text editor) and save it. Finally, rename it to *.cue.

The CUE can be used to mount the big APE file in a virtual drive with programs like WinMount, so that you can play the mounted audio CD in media players like WMP to view all the tracks separatedly. Or you can just convert the big APE file to any format you like and then split it using the CUE file.

eny1 have that new KOF XII games ?? is that good or bad ?

The core game is a lot of fun and the new sprites and stages (especially the stages) look fantastic.

Unfortunately it’s severely lacking in content and has a lot of online issues. I’d wait until the price comes down to get it, and makes sure to get the PS3 version since the X-Box 360 version apparently isn’t getting the online fix patch anytime soon.

Do you know if there is any noticeable difference between an APE and FLAC lossless rips?

Because I can barely see difference between lossy and lossless rips. Actually the biggest difference I see is when I turn up the sound. I guess these KOF lossless rips better support high volume levels without distortion. But I’m not used to listenning to music at high volume levels anyway, so I’m very intended to convert them to 320kbps MP3, what is much better than the 128kbps mp3 I had for these soundtracks.

By the way, you miss linked to the part 10 of the KOF 2000 AST lossless album. There’s a "]" that you should remove from the URL tag.

And one more quick note: in KOF ’94 AST Lossless you wrote "FLAC", but actually it is encoded with Monkey’s Audio ("APE" file), which is another lossless format. So you could change that information in the first page of this topic from "FLAC" to "APE".

Foobar2000 is a very light and simple media player, and it natively supports FLAC with embedded CUE. In the official site you can also get various codecs. I recommend getting the Monkey’s Audio for playing APE files, so you won’t need to use another program for playing them.

There are no news from the arranged versions of KOF XII AST released in the PSN?

There was arranged versions with rock style, and the other ones with techno style

While it technically doesn’t qualify as a ‘soundtrack’, I think some of you might be interested in it. It’s basically song called "Yuuhi to Tsuki (The Sun and Moon)" that is sung by Iori and Kyo’s voice actors (Kunihiko Yasui and Mashiro Nonaka respectively). Here’s the link:

Additionally, does anyone have the ASTs for Art of Fighting 2 and 3 in FLAC? Those two were super hard to find in low quality mp3 back in the day, and I’ve had no luck finding them in higher quality anywhere for years.

I’ve tried multiple extractors and they all do the same and i’ve downloaded both archives twice. Something is definitely wrong as I had previously downloaded both archives and they worked fine back when they were first upped.

Hmm, there is one track on the KoF ’98 Arrange Sound Trax that is incomplete, Showdown R & D is actually 4:09 according to vgmdb and I noticed that a lot of the static at the start of the track was cut out.

Other than that, this has been a one-stop shop for all the KoF soundtracks in one place, and I appreciate your contributions greatly, Forest.

Thank you very much for the uploads! I see that KOF 98′ AST (LOSSLESS) both mirrors are down. Is it possible to get that re-upped? I appreciate your time and effort on this.

There’s is only one KOF CD that is missing in this collection: KOF NEOWAVE Consumer Version. What has been around for years claiming to be this soundtrack is a PS2 Rip encoded at 128. Somehow, the one who made this rip manged to get the last track which was not used in the game, this track is the one that sounds the worse of them all.
There is also another CD that has a bad rip, although is not in this thread: SNK Characters Sounds Collection Volume 10 ~ Shermie, the rip that’s available has track 7 as track 4, so this track is missing, is about an encounter with Benimaru. I hope someone can better rips of these CDs

Hey, I am uploading right now a remastered version of KOF2001 for the Dreamcast. I used Snkhero’s awesome rip and slightly enhanced the quality and optimized the files. The original sounded amazing, and it wasn’t even noticeable that it was from a lossy source. I have encoded the audio in the highest mp3 quality possible. Hope you enjoy 🙂

i listening dreamcast version KOF 99, 2000,2001 & 2002 and only that 2001 sound different vs original arcade version.. and that PS2 versio of KOF 01 it’s sound same like original soundtrack only that KOF 01 AST sound different

A gamerip had been uploaded on ffs once. I noticed that some of the music was missing in the Heroes OST. Remixes like Origin Of Mind, Tears, Guitar Omega & Rugal for example. But the gamerip lacked a full loop. Songs fade way too early.

I disagree with that, i don’t like same thing repeating over and over. Number of loops in the OST is enough to me if you ask

I can understand that. My problem with the rip is that the song doesn’t properly finish before the loop point. I’m not talking my usual triple love. In the rip, you don’t even get the standard double you find on all osts.

oh,thanks I downloaded the neo geo cd version,it’s almost like the music from kof 96 ast(I already have),the deal is that I was not remember the music from KOF 98 for PSONE(PSX),because it was 5 years that I do not played this version,but when I’ve heard the KOF 98 music from PS2 and ast I was almost sure that it not was the KOf 98 PSone version,but now it’s all cleared.

To Sliat and anyone else who cares : late post is late, but having had the same reaction as you to the NeoGeo Heroes OST, I did my best to remedy that by trying to volume-correct the gamerip and loop it over… which worked great for The origin of mind and decently enough for Sanagi wo yaburi chou wa mau, but failed horribly for the rest because there’s actual gaps in the music as opposed to just the volume fading out. Ended up only keeping those two. Here they are, one added loop for Sanagi and one and a half plus fadeout for Origin due to blatant favoritism on my part.

KOF 2001 for DC has a manipulated soundtrack sampled from the NeoGeo/MVS version, it was made so it could be heard in stereo instead of the fully mono original soundtrack, it’s not remixed, Playmore only added stereo effects. On the PS2, however, the arrange soundtrack are new remixes of the original soundtrack.

Yeah, the loop points are horrendous to try and figure out. I did the exact same as you did for Sanagi Wo … but for Origin Of Mind, I made my loop a couple of seconds earlier. I did all the stages from the rip, but my ears still cringe when I know that the loop isn’t in the right places. Also did ALOT of volume editting to raise the sound on the fade to make more effective loops. I’ll probably upload my efforts, but don’t expect anything outstanding. It’s more for completion purposes.

thanks to this i finally completed my basic ’94-’00 KOF AST collection (don’t care for anything past KOF2K anyway:)

but i noticed that neither AST album has for example London March, Blue Mary’s Blues, C62 proper full arranged versions, and i distinctly remember having them couple of years ago as mp3s
i quickly shuffled through the Fatal Fury ASTs but couldnt find them there either (well, there’s different London March and C62, yes), but there’s a "kof" version of London March clocking at 4:33…

That’s where I had originally got it from. The problem is the incomplete playthrough which makes looping extremely difficult. Post #426 are my loops. What’s missing are the originals of Esaka, ect… because I had assumed the NGHUS tracks were the originals (which we know them to be not the case).

The answer is simple, because SNK ceased to exist. The successors to SNK ever since, don’t have the same quality standards SNK had (and you can see it in most of the games they’ve released), at first it was to save money, now they simply don’t bother.
I know most of people following this thread will disagree, but I think is a great thing the decision SNKP made of reducing to the max the production of videogames, I can live with no new KOF’s rather than with new KOF’s getting worse and worse. Why didn’t they do it before the Atomiswave?

Na verdade, eu acho que esses FLACs que come???aram a surgir foram apenas umas convers???es que o snkhero e os outros fizeram dos mp3s, porque se tu for ver, simplesmente do nada esses FLACs surgiram, o pessoal que tem os CDs originais das trilhas dos jogos da SNK daqui do Galbadia (como por exemplo o Myrkul), n???o costumam compartilhas essas preciosidades em qualidade boa. Posso estar falando uma grande bobagem sobre a convers???o, mas vou at??? pegar o SoundForge pra fazer umas compara??????es.

Finally, a good quality gamerip of the AST that I can loop. There’s a couple of things wrong with the rip, though.

1. Several tracks appear to be missing, such as London March and instrumental Blue Mary’s Blues
2. The version of NDR in the folder is the same as the original version (MIDI instruments)

to bad 2 many thouse songs cant loop right that’s means i dont loops eny1 of thouse song of that sondtrack… and i rippet thouse all songs from PS2 versions of games and if there some songs miss that’s means that’s songs are not in that PS2 games……………… sure i can try make new rip if i found that song but i can say 98% that songs is not that PS2 games what i have…

This is an amazing contribution OP! The SNK ASTs are fantastic.

Hi all. Taking into account that both rips of 98UM’s AST have bad fadeout timings, and just don’t loop properly in general, I went and did something about it. I went ahead and converted all the lossless files from SNKhero’s rip into 320kbp MP3s and looped them. I also took some stuff that didn’t loop right in SNKhero’s rip from JFCT555/Forest’s rip and looped them accordingly, since those had more proper loop points. This is without a doubt the most complete AST for 98UM, barring some exceptions (I excluded the Neo Geo sound effect from SNKhero’s rip, there is apparently no arrange version of N.D.R. in the game in addition to some other songs, and certain songs like Fanatic Waltz and Esaka Forever do not loop due to both versions having bad fadeouts).

Though using Winrar still gives a ""302 SLASHER ZERO (Clonet Zero).flac" is broken message" (7Zip gives the same message but does extract it).

no problem man. cuz 2001 doesn’t have an official album AST (because the music is terrible) and i didn’t think that DC release would have a remixed or arranged soundtrack. Cuz only arrange for 2001 was done for the NESTS compilation on PS2

if you want that KOF 2001 AST PS2 version i can reupload that one 2…. now i have almost 60 albums of KOF in lossless =)

My only complaint is that one of my favourite track in 98 UM, "Kurikinton ~Gomame Guitar Ver.~", they cut it off before it got a chance to loop (and the quality is better than the original ’98 Dream Match). Forgive me, but I just got to get that off my chest.

Well, I finally found XIII’th Mr. Karate track on youtube: "King of Fighters XIII – The Tengu Show (Mr. Karate)", wich should’ve been correctly titled "Shihan" (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=-_F80lJsHNw) . And in HD to boot! Man this composition gives me the bloody chills every time I hear it! I’m amazed that they stayed true to the original composition, that it sounds 100 times better.
Well, it shall be difficult to get a lossless, after all, it is a limited bundle!

Not my own rip, got it from a russian torrent. It’s nothing amazing, but thought it might be a good chance to grab some tracks if your collection lacks any of them.

On the other hand, Would it be too complicated to ask for the Arrange Sound Trax from 94 to 98? Hope someone could help me. FLAC would be nice, but if it’s too complicated, I would settle for a "VBR Extreme" transcode from those FLAC. Hope someone can help me. And I promise I’ll upload these discs. Should I stick to Mediafire or try multi-uploading services?

It takes forever to download on my connection but the quality is worth it and it seems impossible to find the arrange albums in flac otherwise. I use jdownloader, since there’s always a slight chance the connection will drop in the length of time it takes to download (and it can resume if it happens).

Rizer, I pretty much doubt ther was anything released regarding that action movie. It’s not that bad. At least they got SOME things right compared to other VG movies. I’m still wondering why is it so hard to make a good anime movie based on the Orochi Saga. Or any movie based on KoF for that matter…

Gonna make a list of what I have in my library so I can upload it for anyone interested. Just don’t expect FLAC, I usually stick to VBR-high bitrates. Thanks in advance.

I’m still wondering why is it so hard to make a good anime movie based on the Orochi Saga. Or any movie based on KoF for that matter…

Symphonic Sound Trax is good but depends on your music taste, if there was a KOF movie (lets pretend that other movie is not real) then the music on Symphonic Sound Trax would be used as a score.

I do agree that it took some weird turns here and there. Rugal was portrayed by Ray Park, but how they decided he should be a buffon baffles me. Terry… don’t make me talk. They got some concepts right, like the rivalry of Kyo and Iori, the riot of blood and the Orochi legend, but again, deviated from the stablished and went crazy with it. It’s not bad as a cheesy-action movie. However, based on KoF it really stinks.

I’m aware that fighting games don’t have a deep story compared to RPGs and such, but they DO have one, at least. It’s amazing that people in charge of movies or animation can’t seem to grasp what makes it work: see the Street Fighter series. From the bunch of OAVs, movies and animation only a couple could stand as good, while the rest suck so hard is unveliabable Capcom endorsed them.

Just make an animated movie with the current rooster of characters, based on the orochi saga. A recap of KoF 96 and then we begin with 97, seeing matches in the tournament with fast paced fights and great effects, as the story is told with scenes regarding the teams with flashbacks and such, culminating with the revival of Orochi and the final battle with Kagura, Kyo and Iori. That would be perfect. WHY IS IT SO HARD, PEOPLE?!?!

Hmm… AoF has 2 official arrange albums: The Ryuuko no Ken 2 Image Album and Ryuuko no Ken Gaiden (AoF3). While AoF never got an official arrange release, there’s the AoF Anthology in PS2 that has arranged versions, it would be a matter of getting the rip. Metal Slug eludes me, besides the complete box, I haven’t looked for more.

Requesting lossless format, (FLAC or LAME MP3 320kbps) both AST and OST of K1n9 of F1ght3rs 94 til 99. I’m personally looking for 98 Ultimate Match Arrange Sountrack that somebody uploaded before, (I think it was PS2rip) but it was mp3 128kbps, so i’m looking for it again.

Fi1e host1n9 service is scarce in these days, and i know it’s time and effort consuming, but this is the one and only place i can request such matters….

FYI, i’m posting only bcuz lot of links at the front are dying sooner than ever. I think Forest’s idea of going through cloud storage sounds nice, but any help is always appreciated.

Did you do the Ryuuko no Ken Ten Chi Jin soundtrack? You mean the three games OST and AST? Because that’s what I’m going for. I know ASTs for 2 and 3 are available, and the rip of the first game would suffice, but I’m kind of an obsessive guy xD

i dont make rip of KOF 2002 UM because there is official soundtrack and there is no different AST album like KOF 98 UM have.. and thouse Fatal Fury Vol 1/2 i thing i am gonna make my own thread for my SNK games rip..

The reason i asked for the PS2 rip of KOF 2002 UM is that I realize some difference between official OST and the actual game music

It’s played during the console opening video. I ripped the track from the game. I plan to rip all the tracks from 12 including all of the extra dlc tracks since the current ones that out are in poor condition. Hopefully, I’ll have them up at the end of the week.

OK, actually I’m not 100% right, only the 1st version has three tracks different from the formal ones, which are Art of Fighting, Kim and Psycho Soldier Team. All the other tracks and all tracks in 2nd version are basically identical to the formal ones.

Among the three different tracks, Kim Team’s track can be defined as the "uncompleted" track, whereas Art of Fighting Team’s and Psycho Soldier Team’s track are good enough to be themselves.

I recommend Psycho Soldier Team’s track, in my point of view it’s better than formal counterpart, except has only one looping and volume is a bit low. Any one has interest in making it loop twice? Maybe even combine the formal and the web version into one full track… Well, I’m just wishing it. If anyone really does that I will probably smile to my death…
