This is already my favorite Castlevania OST. It’s just amazing! Thank you for posting.
Thanx for sharing!
Firstly, the audio is too screeching loud. It sounds like somebody ran it through a compressor and then tried to normalize it to the highest peak possible. That does not even compare to the uncomfortable sensation of there being a volume normalization running throughout each track, it’s like the volume is as high as possible during the violins and then when a huge drum plays in or some loud cymbals clash together the volume suddenly drops in order not to clip the sound.
I’ve got a nagging feeling about this whole album. I still appreciate it cuz I love the game and I’ve always wanted to listen to an OST instead of a Rip. I don’t know if it’s Kriz Belmont who added these effects or if the actual OST sounds like this (I have a hunch it’s the former because for some odd reason the extra tracks in the soundtrack are also encoded with LAME -VBR 0, and how much of a coincidence would that be since they’re only tracks found on the internet? This means all the tracks are encoded with LAME -VBR 0. "Re-tampering" with audio tracks is my major suspect).
So, this leads to my request: any chance for a reupload in FLAC plz? If not then it’s cool.
