Oh my gosh, thank you soooo much for this. You don’t know how long I’ve been looking for any Kindaichi OSTs. I was always impressed by the music in the series, but it’s very hard to find the OST. Only later did I find out the composer was Kaoru Wada, and I really love his works, and I wanted to listen to the Kindaichi OST again, except it’s impossible to find!

Anyhow, thank you again for the uploads! Hmm… On a side note, I wonder if the lovely violin piece in episode 17 is in any of the OSTs. It wasn’t in File 1. It’s probably one of the hauntingly beautiful instrumental pieces in any anime. It was the episode with the motto "behind the demon’s mask, there was an angel" and the criminal is the daughter of a famous composer who is a violinist.

I am truly glad of the release of all the soundtracks for Kindaichi Shonen no Jikenbo series and movies, but I just cannot help but notice one flaw, which is being the rather crappy sound quality ;( .

Billie781 , where did you get these versions or did you rip them from CDs or something? I am not here to complain, no sirree, but I am merely interested.
If there’s any way to get them in better quality (even though the bitrate is 256, but the sound cracks and there’s much background noise, all the high-pitched sounds sounds awful)?

PS: Only good quality OST is the "Music to be murdered by". Others if you can get anyhow in this quality, you would save my day!

Well, hmmnm… damn.
Tried to find better quality rips elsewhere, but it seems that this is quite a rare OST to be found, it seems. Because it’s quite a pain in the ass and ears to listen the poor rips with such indecent quality, I must say ;/ . Not that I’m any kind of a hifist guy, but…well, I am sure you get it, hehe.

Are you suggesting they all have poor sound quality? I think I may hear what you are referring to on the Opera album and movie OST2 but I think it may be just the way the CD is because Billie’s rips are always high quality.

Yeah, it might be so, for that was also something I thought of …but rather strange if they sound like that ON the CD as well, then there’s something truly wrong … it’s just a real pity, since the scores for those two soundtracks are beautifully striking.

Mayhaps I’ll be blessed with the better quality ones from somewhere

Oh, and since I am now talking about some of Kaoru Wada’s work here, might anyone of you know where I could probably find his work for Harlock Saga – Der Ring Des Nibelungen – Das Rhein Gold OST 2.
I own the authentic version of the first volume, but I never found the second, nor can I find it from the internet either. Unless of course, I order it from abroad, but that would cost me a crap-load if purchased
through CDjapan, which seems the only place to have it.

It would be great to re-rip them, because the sound is really weird, it has a sort of metallic distorsion which shouldn’t exist. A new clean rip would be very welcome, thanks in advance. 🙂

Thank you for the new movie OST, Billie781! In my earlier post, I mentioned there was a violin piece from Kindaichi episode 17 that I was looking for. I’m not sure if it would have been on the OST 2 (which I’m sorry you couldn’t obtain it).

Anyhow, I ripped the segment from episode 17 into mp3 format, which will have to suffice for the time being till I find the OST it’s on. The good stuff starts on 1:26-ish when the violin comes in which segues into the Kindaichi main theme.

I wonder if I’ll ever find a full copy of the song without all the dialogue. Lol. It’s my favorite Kindaichi episode about a dead composer and the murders that happen in his mansion. If anybody is wondering, the dialogue in the clip is along the lines of "Why would anyone compose such a gloomy tune for this daughter?" And the culprit of the murders, the composer’s daughter who’s a violinist, plays the violin accompaniment to the piano, and people marvel at the transformation of the melody. Akechi-san remarks, "Beneath the devil’s mask was an angel." Quite a poignant arc, helped by Kaoru Wada’s score. 😛

Man! I just thought if my Japanese was good enough already to watch Kindaichi. I simply love mysteries, especially murder. Thank you so much for this collection, but why rapidshare only, RS is the lamest ever. Still, I know that uploading these takes time and you do it only because you wanna be nice and share so I can’t complain.

Anyways, I have ALL the long versions of OP/ED of Kindaichi (I found them from some shady thai site once). If you want, I could upload them because they are more than awesome – and rare!

I’ve read every single Kindaichi cases as well as those in the novels. What makes it difference from Conan was the emotions invoked primary from the ‘villian’ in most of the cases. I’m first encounter Kindaichi when I was 10 years old and its been another 10 years now. I have the habit of remembering all the sad and tragic soundtrack from shows ( like Wish from SENS in a certain drama) . Been searching for that songs for years. Thanks again.

hey there, i was wondering if anyone can do a BIG favour in finding a small background song in Kindaichi 2 (Dohmoto Tsuyoshi drama) – Graveyard Island? There was a nice old Japanese song when Kindaichi was persuading Makoto to join the rest on a trip to the island. It was only there for a short while though. I’ve been looking for that song for years but without further information or proficiency in japanese, i cannot proceed anymore. Please can anyone help me out?!!?

I don’t mean to be bitchy or an total asshole, so don’t take this as any offense , but the sound quality in the Kindaichi Hajime Shounen no Jikenbo – Movie Ost 2 – Satsuriku no Deep Blue is pretty awful.
Something has gone wrong with the ripping process I am sure, because it was the same with the first movie OST by different uploader (I’d remember), until I told him to re-rip it from the CD, after which it sounded normal.
For the tracks sounds like they would be 96kbps and they have this awful distortion in them, as if they were all recorded in very high-pitched manner or something ….

If you care, try to re-rip the CD (if you have one, that is) and use different extraction program and see if the sound is right this time… I would be much obliged to have a decent quality version rather than a distorted one.

Darn it, sendspace delete it again and I will upload it again. But if it fail, then could anyone tell me, any good site that will accept it and won’t delete it for a while. Bill’s soundtrack manage to still on for a long time, but my soundtrack is always get delete. It will help a lot.
