I havent seen Harlock Saga yet… but I do have to see it. I ‘m really anxious about it.
I have found a box with 2 dvds with 6 eps each. but one of the dvds you could hear it that it was not stuck on the box. I did not buy it because i did not want a dvd with scratches … 🙁
and it was not that expensive…but .. i want to spent money on a good thing in good shape. not in something that looks second-hand sale. :/

Well thanks for filling in the holes in my collection ‘shriners. I guess between the 3 Leijiverse threads about 60% is here. I’m lookin at you "Music Encyclopedia of Leiji Matsumoto"! Also the playstation games soundtracks. There’s a bunch of of other live yamato concerts on vinyl too I believe. I have a few drama LPs for Yamato, GE999 and Queen Emeraldas but until I get a new laptop I probably won’t rip those yet since my turntable is too far from my workstation to connect and they are imho non-essential.

Ha ha you’re kidding me right? You are pulling up all these BRILLIANT CDs that I haven’t even heard of and you say you’re a bad fan? That means I am the most terrible one X3
That is okay. But I would have those "awful" ones if you wouldn’t mind ^^; Considering that 1) it is rare as hell and 2) Like hell I can can find it anywhere and 3) even the ANIME is rare. I think I can take what I can get.
You have no idea who long I have been searching for the rareness of Saint Elmo, Marine Snow and Arei no Kagami. The only hint I can find online are over 100 dollar video tapes that only ship to Japan or that one file on Share of Saint Elmo which I still can’t get to.
(To prove my fan girl-ness I even created Wikipedia pages on Saint Elmo and Arei no Kagami to try and promote it. Even hunted down the opening video of Marine Snow on Nico Nico.)

100 $ ? On Yahoo auctions, it’s not so expensive. The video tapes I have were not so expensive. And the quality of japanese video tapes is excellent in time. But I transfered them in DVD not to have the suprise of destruction by VCR.

Yes, yes, I possess these videos. The only videos I don’t possess are the rare G999 films (like planetarium). None of the 3 video makes contribution to the Leijiverse. The only link is "perhaps" the people from the undersea as in submarine super 99. Leiji plays a lot of role in his Universe, quite one time per manga and one time per five animes. And yes, he have a little funny appearence in St Elmo.

Well I’m pretty sure they parodied it. Why else would they randomly name something that. They parody so much in it with the mushrooms, gun frontier (Though he normally does that) and even himself.

Hey they released an Arei no Kagami manga didn’t they? Is it like the Marine Snow manga, where it was just the anime with speech bubbles. And did they do something similar with Saint Elmo? ^^;
I’ve only really seen the anime comics (anime with speech bubbles) of Marin Snow. I think I’ve seen the anime comics of Arei no Kagami one time in Yahoo Auctions but I’ve never hear about something similar about St Elmo.

Ehy Tartelette, I’m interested in all the yamato soundtrack… in particular the Yamato III symphonic suite, accordingly to this site http://www.desslok.com/INFO/MUSIC/eternal.htm must be file file 7 of the eternal edition… can you confirm it contain 12 tracks and eventually share? I ask because I downloaded somewhere the eternal edition but in what I downloaded Yamato III was cd 6 and strangely it contained only 6 tracks (from the a side of the LP edition of that album…)

I tried to download the file again from both the icon and the link. I compared the files by CRC etc., and they’re exactly the same. Which isn’t surprising, because it’s the same download link.
I nevertheless noticed that the download counter didn’t increase for any of my downloads. Which is odd, since my code specifically updates the download counter at the end of the download process. This could mean that the file wasn’t sent entirely, but since my browser told me the download was completely successfully, I see no reason for this to happen. Anyway.

I’m a newbie here, but have been hunting for some very specific things, and I am pretty sure those Emeraldas drama LP are one of the things I’m looking for — is it possible to upload, or are they somewhere on this forum? I unfortunately don’t have much to trade — most of what I have is already here, because by the time everything was going to CD, my roomie & I lost our source. We’re trying to reconstruct our old collections…

I noticed on page 4 that someone had the themes to Galaxy Railways II. Namely, full versions of JaJa’s ‘Carry the Light’ and Maki Goto’s "All of Us" I went to the site that had the songs, but after downloading the specific downloader the site needed me to, it wouldn’t download. Wow, that sentence sucked..LOL I grammatically fail. Anyway, can anyone let me know where I could find those songs and maybe the karaoke versions as well?

Yes, yes, I possess these videos. The only videos I don’t possess are the rare G999 films (like planetarium). None of the 3 video makes contribution to the Leijiverse. The only link is "perhaps" the people from the undersea as in submarine super 99. Leiji plays a lot of role in his Universe, quite one time per manga and one time per five animes. And yes, he have a little funny appearence in St Elmo.

They certainly got the characters looking right, except for Kei anyway. But the story didnt capture the charater of Harlock in any way and the tech design was exceptionally foul. But then that is just one opinion *L*

you want those osts, that shamelessly says in the booklet it was composed originally by Kaoru Wada. Shame because it is a lie. It’s just the all of the orchestral piece of Wagner’s work DER RING DES NIBELUNGEN.
Yeah I originally wanted those osts because of wada since I’ve went on a collecting spree of some composers i like. I know there is bound to be a bunch of recycled junk but I have a soft spot for Kaoru Wada for some reason. He has a lot of uninspiring work like Akira Senju but I still love the guy.

Kishin Heidan, nowadasy I can hear that soundtrack to the extent of how annoying it is to me. It was painful to see the anime again with the soundtrack. Because I started to wnt to know more about him… regretful deed of mine. Since I gain hate of those recycling shits,. Like SIlent mobius movie having one vocal song, which is the exact composition of a kishin heidan vocal track, only difference are the lyrics and person singing. Plus, it’s a theme he uses TOOOOOO MUCH.
Like I say, if you want all soundtracks of Kaoru wada, just donwload one random thing and you have the soundtrack for ALL of his animes.

i just watched the movie again and im still mad the one theme i wanted from the osts is missing.
go to the 7 30 mark and ignore the spanish voices.
it seems the theme im looking for is sutanree ni idomu, but having just watched the movie and hearing the song in youtube, the piano in the movie is much more prominent, almost solo. in the track, its very faint and its just a fraction of it whereas in this part, it begins on its own, and all other places the theme plays. (i have an original japanese dvd, bought years ago when i was desperately looking for the movie, found it in a convention. luckily it had english subs that didnt suck ass, so its not an audio problem).

i just listened to the track i myself suggested as i initially thought to be the theme, but while it does have that piano segment, it is way to short to be the one im looking for, the piano only plays two times. and the orchestra that acompanies it is not the same as in the video. ill try chief’s suggestion now.
aftermath: that could be it, but the fact that the pianos tune plays in two different tracks puzzles me, now i see that the post climax chatter between the ilmidus captain and harlock also has the piano, and a different orchestra.

Digital Trip Queen Emeraldas Synthesizer Fantasy

(Note: the album pronounces the name as "Emeraldus", but I changed it to "Emeraldas" instead since it’s what most sources list the name as)
One of the more rarer albums in the Digital Trip series, this is an image album composed of original songs based off the Queen Emeraldas manga. Tracks 2 and 4 are composed by Seiji Yokoyama, while the others were composed by Fukamachi Jun.
I have to say, I really enjoyed this album. While I’ve never heard of Seiji Yokoyama, this is the second time I’ve heard music composed by Fukamachi Jun (the first time being the OP song in Digital Trip Urusei Yatsura). I have to admit, I was a bit skeptical about this album at first since Urusei Yatsura sounded kinda boring to me (my opinion on that album might change in the future, though), but after buying it, what I expected was greatly different 😛
Some parts of Track 1 sound like it’s a Super Mario 64 level in Space (specifically the bells heard near the end), and Track 4 sounds like a song that would fit in a Sega Genesis game 😀

(Note: the album pronounces the name as "Emeraldus", but I changed it to "Emeraldas" instead since it’s what most sources list the name as)
One of the more rarer albums in the Digital Trip series, this is an image album composed of original songs based off the Queen Emeraldas manga. Tracks 2 and 4 are composed by Seiji Yokoyama, while the others were composed by Fukamachi Jun.
I have to say, I really enjoyed this album. While I’ve never heard of Seiji Yokoyama, this is the second time I’ve heard music composed by Fukamachi Jun (the first time being the OP song in Digital Trip Urusei Yatsura). I have to admit, I was a bit skeptical about this album at first since Urusei Yatsura sounded kinda boring to me (my opinion on that album might change in the future, though), but after buying it, what I expected was greatly different 😛
Some parts of Track 1 sound like it’s a Super Mario 64 level in Space (specifically the bells heard near the end), and Track 4 sounds like a song that would fit in a Sega Genesis game 😀
