Thus far, I’m enjoying the frickin’ CRIT out of it! Only just left the hotel(not far into the game, in other words), but it’s been a literal blast, what with the damage I’m causing(btw Ray, thanks for racking up that $11,000 bill in your own frickin’ building!), not to mention the zapping and trapping. Using the PKE meter is a little tedious at times, but still well in tune with the movies.
And of course, who could NOT love the cast? Venkman still makes me laugh, what with his sarcasm, and Ray always knows what science-babble to throw out to make you tune him out. Harold Ramis and Dan Aykroyd say this is their third movie, and I’m inclined to say ‘well done’.
So…thoughts, oh fellow Ghostbusters?
I take it you have the PS3/360 version, not that cartoony Wii abomination?
Uh, huh. Yeah.
@doomjockey: I’d honestly recommend giving the PS3/360 versions a good try. One of the few movie video games that get it right.
Hearing Venkman complain about getting slimed by Slimer again was hilarious.
1980’s, I was not too enthusiastic. Mostly because I seem to have lost interest. I may get it, I may not.
Right. I suppose I might as well try it before I write it off completely.
LOL wait till you make a return to the hotel 🙂 and yea I was not knocking the fact that it’s not "AAA" btw, Hell I spend lots of time just wandering around looking at the attention to detail and trying to see what bits I can interact with.
Online is fun but can be kinda spoiled if you play with dumbasses (Not newbies but dumbasses)
Oh, wait. I got it, and she’s disappearing. I guess it really was that sim….
HOLYFRACKING^*(&%*$&^*&^!!!!
My reaction about 3/4 of the way through the library.

mtrikmane has the right idea, but let me add that you should rent it if you’re only interested in the main game(a five-day rental from Blockbuster allowed me to beat it). If you intend to 100% it, or play on Live, a purchase is entirely reasonable and actually recommended.
BTW, am I the only one who actually did WORSE on a replay through Times Square? My first time I only scored about $45K damage there, and my second time is over $310K! I didn’t think I destroyed that much stuff!
Peter: And down he goes, all the…ooh! Not quite! Say, Ray: suppose three guys the size of your little finger knocked you off of a building, and you had to climb all the way back up? How, how mad would you be at those tiny nuisances?
Ray: I’d go with ‘mighty pissed’.
^ Understatement of the year, amirite?
