The Damn Near Impossible to Find VG OST Request Thread

Well, I thought it would be good to have a thread in which requests of extremely rare Video Game soundtracks.
This thread is meant to be not only for soundtracks that can’t be found anywhere, but soundtracks which can only be found in very very low quality and you wish to request for a higher quality rip. MP3, FLAC, APE, OR ANY FORMAT IN THE WORLD CAN BE REQUESTED, THIS IS NOT JUST A LOSSLESS THREAD
Hopefully a lot of the requests can be made available. I’ll post every request on the first post, with status (found or still looking) and with links (when available). Also, if a link is posted but you find a higher quality rip, then by all means post it! The idea is to have these albums in the highest possible quality available.
To those who help with these requests, there’s nothing more than my thanks and the thanks of anyone who knows what it’s like to search like a crazy person for that one OST that keeps eluding them.
Just one rule: When you post a link to one of the requested soundtracks, please specify the format (mp3, FLAC, APE) and bitrate (mostly in the case of mp3’s); and if you want for it to be posted quickly in the first page just PM me about it, otherwise I’ll post the requests and the links as soon as I read them.

I’m looking for the actual soundtrack release of Chulip.

The title to this topic is slightly misleading as most of the soundtracks requested in this topic are easy to find as an mp3 download on this forum. Moreover, most of the soundtracks requested in this topic are not that hard to locate in their physical format (except for possibly the Rockman Power ones).

The problem here is that the original poster wants the soundtracks in lossless format, which is a bit ambitious on his/her part.

As a sidenote, I actually have all the Rockman soundtracks in lossless format, well, aside from the Rockman Power Fighter/Battle soundtracks, but that’s because I actually paid for the physical albums.

On a second sidenote, that Bom Bom Rockman album is basically a shortened Rockman 7 Original Soundtrack with two talk tracks added at the beginning and end. So, it really isn’t worth the effort to track down if you already have the Rockman 7 Original Soundtrack.

Hey there, sorry, I haven’t updated this in a few days, I actually had thought this thread had sunken down into oblivion so I didn’t bother checking. The point of this thread is not to obtain all albums in Lossless. Obviously I’m a lossless fan, but the main idea is to obtain the albums in the highest quality possible than what’s normally available online. In fact I have found a couple in particular (thanks to SNKHero and JacksonHugh) so I’ll update the request list with what some of you guys posted and the links when they’re available.

This thread is for people who need help and people who WANT to help, not people who just want to brag and act superior for having the actual albums while not sharing them. And FYI this thread is open to ALL requests, mine happen to be in either high quality MP3 or Lossless, if someone wants it in MP3 that’s perfectly fine. The point of this thread is FINDING WHAT YOU CAN’T FIND, if you can find an OST but not in the quality you want it, then by all means everyone’s entitled to request it.

No problem. It honestly never struck me as a big deal. I picked it up on a whim when I went to Hiroshima in 2004, largely b/c it had the English versions of the vocal tracks in the game. I wasn’t aware it had become tough to find. 🙂

It is tough to find, at least in good quality, you can find it in 192kbps everywhere, but nothing higher than that.

Ok, I don’t really know if this will be much help, but I have Rockman 2 The Power Fighters in ~226VBR and the two Rockman special CDs in ~160VBR. If you don’t have them AT ALL I’ll be more than happy to upload but im sure someone somewhere has them in higher quality if you are just looking for an upgrade. I’m not on this site regularly so if you want them just shoot me a PM so I get the e-mail notification and I’ll upload and post in this thread.

To the attention of mrcaliche:
I’ve found an ISO of "MediEvil 2". I tried to rip it with PSX Multi Converter, but while the software manages to recognize the files, it doesn’t play them…. Converting them it’s pointless, the audio length doesn’t the match the one of the original .XA files, and it’s only noise :/

EDIT:
I think the problem is of the ISO itself, I tried to emulate it with ePSXe and the music was absent. I’ll try to download it from emuparadise. Let’s hope it works.

The existing version is only available in VBR V2, mixed in with some CBR 128 kbps. Only the Silver Edition is available in lossless, but that’s missing the second disc included with the Gold Edition.

What makes this album extra rare is that there was only a limited number of presses. 1500 for the Gold, 3000 for the Silver.

Do you know where an MP3 version of this exists? I can’t put FLAC on an ipod and this album isnt available anywhere.

It’s the Offical soundtrack and a Gamerip but the Gamerip even though it has no SFX has a lot of background hiss that detracts from it. The offical is vbr and sounds great and encoded with LAME.

I’ve recently acquired a legit copy of that disc. It’s mastered with lossy-sourced files, like the Neverwinter Nights 2 Soundtrack. There’s no point in lossless, and even less in another lossy transcode.

128kbps constant bitrate, I guess, same spectrums as the files on the old Interplay website. I find the game-rip hosted on Galbadia Hotel to be better, but that’s just my opinion. If you find it on some auction site, don’t pay more than 10$, even that amount is too much.

One difficult to find soundtrack is Kya: Dark Lineage. I started just recording the songs myself, and the link is in my sig. Only thing is that it’s about half the game and I uploaded it so that something would be on the internet.

I’ve recently acquired a legit copy of that disc. It’s mastered with lossy-sourced files, like the Neverwinter Nights 2 Soundtrack. There’s no point in lossless, and even less in another lossy transcode.
OMG, I have been searching for this OST for years already! I missed it when it was available on the Interplay website and now it’s nowhere to be found… Please, please, can you rip it in any quality, even in 128 kbps? Maybe the gamerip is better but it also contains SFX, for example, in my favourite "Ghost of the Tavern" song or "Eldritch the Betrayer" track. It would be so great to have this without any ambient noise!

The existing version is only available in VBR V2, mixed in with some CBR 128 kbps. Only the Silver Edition is available in lossless, but that’s missing the second disc included with the Gold Edition.

What makes this album extra rare is that there was only a limited number of presses. 1500 for the Gold, 3000 for the Silver.

I realize this was posted quite some time ago; however, having just seen it: So you mean, then, that the lossless version is "impossible to find," while the gold version itself is not impossible to find. Or put another way, the gold version of PMM is only impossible to find if you are picky.

That aside, I found this link for the gold version: MEGAUPLOAD – The leading online storage and file delivery service (http://megaupload.com/?d=YSA053IZ) I’m not sure about the quality, I’m downloading it as I write this.

Tried this in a separate topic, but didn’t seem to draw much attention, so I’ll rry here. The Donkey Kong Country Returns Original Soundtrack in FLAC seems simply impossible to be found. I understand that this is very rare, as it was released only as a Club Nintendo item, but this is not even a year old and it can be bought in eBay, so someone is bound to have it. If by chance anyone have this CD and can rip it in FLAC format with a log file, I’d be deeply gratefull.
