DBZ Movies – Definitive Edition!

Hi, I’m back again with some Dragon Ball material. I put together definitive soundtracks for Dragon Ball Z – Movies. I nicknamed it Kanzentai, because they are the most perfect BGM collections.
You will find here all tracks in cinematic order including unreleased (they were never released!) ones or tracks recorded on session for movie, but unused later and put into the series right away. Also on some OST’s, there are alternate versions or cuts of some pieces.

It’s Japanese music of course))) I don’t hav nothing against dub music, but it’s not my cup of tea in case of Dragon Ball series.

Wallpaper will be best, I have scans of Single covers, but there are letters and graphic elements describing the DVD but on wallpaper there is original artwork.

I only gathered the music, but not extracted. I can’t take credit for that!
It’s thanks to guys like Balpen4 or ThePetSounds to extract the sound from
their Laser Discs, which are pretty rare items. Thanks to the LD’s sound layers,
which are recorded on disc differently then the sound on DVD or Blue Ray, you can
get BGM without SFX.

thought, all the 3 movies of broly had a soundtrack release.. why did not the others?

I don’t know, but only complete soundtrack ever released for DBZ franchise is the one for 11th Movie. Soundtracks for first 7 movies were released as Ongakushu Vol. 1, in the same form as they were relasead on five disc Daizenshuu or Complete BGM Collection, only with some altered composition of tracks and OST for movie 8 was released as Ongakushu Vol. 2 with few missing tracks. Without movie 9, Movie 10 ost was released with wrong piece of music instead of proper one and then only one complete OST for movie 11.
Question is, why movie 9, 12 and 13 weren’t released and why we didn’t got that fine fan service like other anime got, because there is more unreleased tracks then released, mostly from the first Dragon Ball series and last time we got Complete BGM Collection for Z, it wasn’t complete 😀
I dunno, it’s all market strategy at 80%, they don’t give a f**k about fans, only to get a lot money from them with releases for every bit of things but it isn’t done properly.
Dragon Ball really has weird music releases. 21 Hit Song and vocal Collections in total, containing 90% of useless image tracks, where almost nobody give a f**k about it and few CD’s containing background music. I never saw any other series to get treatment like this.

Looks like we are complete!
There is trouble with first 3 Dragon Ball Movies, because they weren’t released on Laser discs, so it’s impossible to secure the track with music. We won’t get them ever probably, but enjoy what is already there!

Thanks, I only collected the music tough…… It’s pitty that quality of 12th music is not much and that the quality is going low same as the numbering of the movies does. But it’s the best option to get the unreleased music. Dynamix out!

I needed to know the complete dates of your soundtracks that you ripped, the very day that you finished the files. Maybe if you go to the properties of the cover image of the soundtracks you if the date is different, then that might do the magic I need.

I don’t think that what you want is possible morrigan666, because these unreleased BGM have been extracted from Laser Disc of DBZ Movies by japanese ad korean guys.
We can just give you the year of release date.

I am re-tagging the files and adding the tittle of the movies as the name of the album

Example: Dragon Ball Z ”Return our Gohan!!” Kazentai Edition Original Soundtrack

Normally I would have the tracks in japanese and the album itself with the Original Japanese name. But our friend dynamixx got himself worked on naming those tracks in english. I prefered to have the title in English too. Or it would not make sense.

Edit:
The English titles given to the movies are crap and have nothing to do with the original Japanese titles. Like The Tree of Might being translated from Chikyū Marugoto Chōkessen (Decisive Battle for The Earth) or Lord Slug being translated from Sūpā Saiya-jin da Son Gokū (Super Sayan-jin Son Gokuh)

I am changing the titles a more faithful description.

We all already knew there was never a propper release for the movies of Dragon Ball Z.
dynamixx aided us with his friends rips from the Laser Discs releases. So those we have now complete.
But today, half an hour ago, I was talking to a friend and doing some "surf" on youtube, and I came up with some new Unreleased tracks for the TV series of Dragon Ball Z. I have not yet downloaded at all, as I have not grabbed this to work on.
They are very little pieces that were not released ever before. It is one collection of 4 minutes long and another of 1:30 long, more or less.

But the REAL news I wanted to give here is about the Dragon Ball Movies soundtracks. At least I found one full suite of 13 minutes of soundtrack for the second movie. I am not really thiking to split the tracks… I might do it. Don’t know yet. BUt it seems someone has ripped all 3 movies in full suites. The problem is, I could gather information about being ripped from Funimation DVDs (or whatever is the name) for that subject of 5.1. The second movie of Dragon Ball Soundtrack…. I can get it … But I am trying to hit down the other movie rips, as I know the guy did rip it. Just not found it yet.

About the unreleased tracks. I might work out on it today. Just need to work on some stuff first.

I have the "Dragon Ball Z: BGM Collection" with FLAC CD quality but it misses quite a lot of BGMs from the Z series, and the 5-CD Set doesn’t feature all DB BGMs neither, so if anyone could upload the unreleased BGMs it’d be wonderful.

I tried Kei17, who is a guy that has them and uploaded to YouTube but he hasn’t ever replied back regarding the upload of the BGMs with the original quality he saved as.

I am no flac addict, so I don’t care much about that. Dragon Ball Z: BGM Collection is a joke. I felt as an insult that being released,since…..all tracks requested by fans were not there. and the Suites were also changed from the original release of ongakushu vol1. I felt like they did it on pourpose. I was really pissed, believe me. I won’t be able to get flac for you. Like I said, I care less about that, and I am no audiophile (I think is how it is written). Please, notice that I am not destroying your taste for flac, and it is not to for you to be offended. It is just my opinion. 🙂
being able to at least LISTEN it is very good and worth it for me.

Like, 192 Kbps like those you’ve uploaded and whatnot. I really love that Garlic Jr. Castle BGM, as it brings so many memories.

First off, I LOVE the Original Japanese DBZ Soundtrack and I loved this soundtrack collection. However, I dont have it anymore because i rebooted my computer. Another thing is that the megaupload links arent working anymore. (FBI shut it down)

No. because, as it seems, to my knowledge, he never did teh movies and mostly they are metal bands songs. But I never sa ALLmovies with the american dub. I am more familiar with the original Japanese. Personally, it is horrible those metal songs on Dragon Ball. So typical of American doing that.

i recently watched the Bojack movie english dubbed it’s Bruces work that’s for sure after listening to the japanese version.
There was one track where gohan goes super saiyan 2 and beats everyone up that i really liked. I’m not sure maybe he started doing them again after the 3rd movie. As far as i know though he hasn’t released any albums since the android one.

For the Z films the US music was composed by Nathan Johnson and Mark Menza. It’s possible Faulconer Productions (it wasn’t Bruce that did all of the US DBZ music but a group of 4 musicians) did a few films too.

Hey is there any chance to get these re-uploaded? This is such an impressive list and I’d love to be able to use the links if they will work again. Also there’s a song from the Super Android 13 movie that I’ve been looking for everywhere and I was curious if it’s apart of your collection. Its a funky tune from the American version that plays when the Androids enter the city to attack Goku. To me it was the most memorable music from the film, but I’ve never been able to find the track. The funky tune starts at about 6:50 into the movie and plays through about 10:45. I’ve seen a few other people on Youtube asking about this song also, but I’ve never seen anyone who had an answer for where to find it.

Well, the US replacement score isn’t really popular globally speaking as the soundtrack that the majority know is the original by Shunsuke Kikuchi. But hey, Orie might have it or know someone who may have the US replacement score. I personally don’t have any of the US soundtrack but do of the Canadian Ocean Dub as that’s one I enjoyed quite a lot.

the US replacement scores are horrible. I saw some of the movies with that score. music replaced with heavy sounding band music. I literally say, Fuck That shit!!!
though I got some, and I did collected them just because…. I have no life.
Some movies , I think, (i never saw them all with the dubbing, as I don’t even like americans dubbing anime, because its always horrible) do have score music.
