KNIGHT RIDER THREAD

Amazingly, I haven’t seen a Knight Rider thread anywhere on this site! So as a lifelong diehard fan of this great 80s show, I decided to start one. Posted here will be every link I come across concerning Knight Rider, the original 80s. Not the silly remake in 2008.

So hope you enjoy!

btw & not to start an argument but…..they’re doing a theatrical Knight Rider movie, something that really should’ve been done during the height of this show back in its day where all the original cast, crew & everything would be right there for them to work with. And in those days, people had more money to spend unlike today thanks to the recession. Plus now, I don’t know if Hassellhoff is still young enough for the Michael Knight role & it doesn’t look like they’re planning to have an aged Michael Knight in the driver’s seat. He may have a cameo though. Oh man, back in the 80s, to have Knight, Devon, KITT, KITT’s voice (idk if WIlliam Daniel a.k.a. Feeny from, Boy Meets World wants to return or has even been contacted). I wish em luck though. Hopefully they will do it justice with whatever they have though it’ll never be as good without all the original parts of the original show.

And now, allow me to bring your attention to a few rules:

1. Say thanks.

2. Please do not ask me for reups as the links that are posted were not originally uploaded by me.
Ask the original uploader & if they don’t have it, ask someone who downloaded it if they can upload it.

3. If you wanna have a debate, that’s fine. But please do not take it too far. By this, I mean do not in any way shape or form attack anyone. Please respect everyone’s opinion. If they don’t respect yours, do not waste time with them. Just don’t communicate with them. That’s all. Simple.
Example of what NOT to say: ”You idiot! You don’t know shit about anything!”
Example of what you can say: ”I respect your opinion. But I disagree.” You get the idea?

4. I know cursing is normal in today’s society. But less cursing here for any reason, the better. I just feel it’s unnecessary. You can voice your disappointment, disagreements, etc without being angry & cursing which only makes you angrier & perhaps for some, throw temper tantrums & attack verbally. And yes, hypocrite/hypocritical though its not a real curse, counts. Just say dishonest. Way I see it, you;re basically saying hypocrite/hypocritical in a nicer, less mean way.

5. Please be patient. if you ask for something, give people time. People have lives of their own. They can’t put it on hold to post your requests here. And if they don’t have it, look or ask elsewhere & should you find it, please share because just because you didn’t find what you were looking for here originally, doesn’t mean you should have to put people through the same thing. Sure, every now & then you can inquire about your requests. But there’s a difference between that & showing your impatience.

6. Please be helpful. If a link is dead & you downloaded it originally, reupload so people can enjoy it like you do. If someone asks for help in something, give them a step by step guide. I personally find them helpful so I;m sure others will as well.

6. I am human & I make mistakes. If I am caught disobeying my own rules, please feel free to inform me. But be nice about it if you do. If someone else disobeys the rules, please do the same to them.
Example: ”Excuse me. You are disobeying rule # by……..”

@babydoll: Vol.1 is 192kbps & doesn’t have proper track names. If you can post Vol. 1 in lossless or in 320kbps, I’d appreciate it.

I will post vol 1 in 320, as that is all I have. You cannot turn mp3 back into lossless, it just doesn’t work that way. I got these from a person at a blog, that Frankly is gone now….

@Marcel: Well it’s really meant to be for the 80’s original. I just couldn’t get into any other KR after the 4 seasons of the first 80’s show ended. But still, thanks for that. I’m sure someone will want it. If you read about though, you can pretty much tell that anything from the 2008 version is not meant to be here. However, I did not state that it wasn’t allowed so…..

@phenomangel Agreed it was silly (well pilot had some merit but the series went off on a weird direction – gee lets retool what actually brought viewers in) but I did like the theme

What really made the series suffer IMO was the absence of the 80’s cast. They were perfect for their roles. Too bad they couldn’t really be involved in the 2008 version because it would’ve helped somewhat if they were.

Now they’re working on a KR movie, which i think will bomb or won’t do very good because as of now, David only has a cameo & I don’t know if WIlliam Daniels aka Mr. Feeny is gonna voice KITT again.

There are things are so irreplaceable & memorable that it just cannot be done again. KR, The Crow, among others. Sequels to the originals failed & the remakes will likely fail or get only mixed reviews from critics/viewers. Same can be said for rebooted franchises sometimes. But other times, the reboots work. Batman is a great example. Nolan, Zimmer and the cast, really everyone involved should be credited & well paid for that, which I’m sure they get. Superman hasn’t really reached that level…..yet. Remains to be seen how the Spidey reboot does.

A movie? Oh gawd, they really don’t learn. Hopefully it will be a slightly more serious take than the A-Team (which I would have enjoyed more if not for the tank in the sky and the ending) and certainly not off in the comedy directions of Dukes of Hazzard or Starsky and Hutch.

I think you are right, some things simply can’t be done again. Its very hard to capture lightning in a bottle twice and the choice of Actor really does have a large impact for instance had Clooney done the new U.N.C.L.E. as suggested I would have seen it as he’d be a great Solo and I wouldn’t watch a B5 movie unless it had the original cast in it.

Quick bump on this thread. Does someone have Vols 2-3 of Don Peake in lossless? I have vol. 1. Bought it directly from composer at a show a few years ago. I was unaware of vols 2-7. Would love to get as I think vol. 1 is great.
