Hi Guys. I’d love to hear this, but I’m new to .flac files. I’ve downloaded an .rar file and expanded it, although expander seems stuck in limbo and I get a folder called:

> Elmer Bernstein – 1986 – !Three Amigos!

and inside are two files:

> !Three Amigos!.cue (4k in size)
> 01 – Ballad of the Three Amigos (For the Film Three Amigos).flac (0k in size)

Am I being really dim or is there something I need to do here?

Would be grateful of any help!

Looks like your rar software does not know how to handle the file contents.

Are you mac or p.c ?.

What software do you use to un-archive the rar file ?.

What software are you intending to use to play the flac content ?.

I’m on a mac.

When the .rar file is downloaded, it’s only 4k anyway.

In the end, I wanted to have some MP3’s of the tunes. I don’t know what to do with FLAC stuff as I’ve never heard of it before. 🙁

Is it still working for everyone else?

I’m on a mac too, and the file downloads as 184 Mb.

You didn’t tell me what software you are using, but…

It opened using RAR Expander Beta (downloadable here… RAR Expander (Mac) – Download (http://rar-expander.en.softonic.com/mac) )

It played on Audacity (also downloadable for free).

Even if you intend to convert the FLAC to mp3, the rar software needs to be able to handle flac.

But if you really only want to convert it to mp3, how about…

I’ve tried those other threads and I’m getting the same issue – they download in the space of a second and the rar files are all 8k or 4k – too small to be anything. Are you aware of any issues with downloading from Megaupload?

I’ve not heard of any general problems with Megaupload, although some countries do block it.

Are you downloading at home ?. There may be firewall issues if you are downloading at work.

There may be a block on Megaupload imposed by your ISP.

The area allocated for your downloads may be full ?. (On a mac this would imply that the hard disk is full).

Yeah – I am at work (on quiet time obviously). Am without a PC at home so will just have to live with it. No worries – not the end of the world.

I’m fairly certain the problem your having is a firewall at your place of employment or it may be Megaupload in general depending on your country.
