The commercial score CD
Obviously π
The 52-track promo
Actually a bootleg that was leaked by someone — with industry connections — before the commercial CD came out, who shouldn’t have done so. Paramout were pissed about it, apparently. Its about 78 mins long, I think.
The 90-minute bootleg
One of many bootleg pressings to come out of Europe and/or Australia, its 75 tracks long with really boring artwork but its lossy sourced and not complete.
The 72-track bootleg
This is a 2CD set, and a combination of the 52 track promo and this little-known third source…
Warm Butter Design’s Isolated DVD Score (http://www.warmbutter.com/dvds/) {clickable}
This was a DVD with the Transformers score in 5.1 sound, presented with a slideshow of images, that was made for Steve Jablonsky. It is clean music in film order, with bonus tracks including alternates and even the trailer music, so technically its the recording sessions.
Now, Warm Butter Design have also released similar DVDs for other movies (X-Men Origins, Prince Caspian, Superman Returns), all of which have leaked to the wider world in some form. Superman Returns is perhaps the most popular one, I think its even posted here somewhere (unless I’m mistaken and its just the complete score thats been going around for a while in lossy – someone probably sourced THAT from the Warm Butter DVD (WBDVD); more on this theory below).
Now, the story goes that the 2CD bootleg is a combination of all of these sources, which means someone out there has the WBDVD . What I don’t understand is, why would they cobble it together with the commercial CD and promo instead of just ripping the audio and presenting us with that?
My guess is, that Transformers (music) seems to be pretty hot shit, and the person didn’t want to make a straight leak of the WBDVD for fear of more finger-pointing. So by combining it with other sources and leaking that version, anyone glancing at it would think it was another source or set of material. Maybe they renamed a few tracks, and then purposefully left off some of the WBDVD tracks, before converting it to MP3, so its not technically a full leak if anyone spots it. Doing this you can kinda cover your ass – one its incomplete, two its lossy. I guess this is what could have happened with the Superman Returns 2CD that came out a few years ago… that only surfaced in MP3. Suspicious…
Anyway so my question is this: does any kindhearted individual out there have the WBDVD and are willing to rip it to FLAC and share it with us? Of course, its AC3 (lossy) sourced but AC3 5.1 audio encoded at 448k is far better than MP3 and audibly pretty close to CD quality, so ripping it to FLAC would be better than encoding to MP3.
I think its safe to assume someone in our midst has it. Surely enough time has passed now for this to come to light? Everything eventually does, one way or another.
Anyway that having been said, as one who loves complete scores, I would still love to have every bit of it!
I had seen this Warm Butter web site a long time ago, and once or twice I searched some of the track names found in the screen shots to no avail. I know that the Prince Caspian Recording Sessions are also around the Shrine somewhere. They are sucky though, as whoever ripped them didn’t rip them at a decent volume and the ends of most of the cues are cut off.
I, too, would like to know if anyone actually possesses this DVD as it almost seems too good to be real. It’s pretty bold of you to straight out ask someone to upload this as it will be groundbreaking (that is, if it really does contain music not heard before). I hope this thread gets more attention!

Thanks Takehiro for the information! Can you please tell me where I can find the WBDVD?
Thanks Takehiro… We’ll look forward to it while I’m watching the first TF film on the dish.
YAY!!!! I have been waiting like, ALL SUMMER LONG for this lol. But I know the way you pour your heart and soul into what you share, this will have been worth the wait. who knows – Maybe when you up it, we’ll have Inception & Dark of the Moon, thus making Revenge of the Fallen the only one left out of the trilogy
Cross fingers this is real and gets posted soon!!
How do you know?!! π
I just found this thread today and I’m so pumped! I didn’t think something like this would actually come around!!!
A reel is about 20 mins IIRC, so 7 x 20 = 140 mins (approx) π

I clicked the Warm Butter DVD link in the first page and you can see screen caps of the DVD. It has 7 reels, and even shows one of the cues with the reel and cue #. I think it was like 6m70a Optimus Sword. Something around there. Click the link and take a look.
Been waiting in anticipation all summer long lol
I understand AC3’s don’t play on all players though, so I’m not sure what you would encode it with to keep it the same quality.
Either way, still can’t wait for this release. You always do really good work on stuff like this and the sound quality is always superior. So no complaints.
True that
Does anyone know if the music at 3:00 is anywhere yet? It’s basically "Optimus" without the flute, it also plays at the dam when Optimus is giving his speech about humans.

I wish I could explain the whole clusterfuck of this situation to you, but I can’t. It’s too emotional for me. Dimensioner will probably be along to explain it.
Simply put, NO. That version of "Optimus" does not exist π
What’s your point? Prince Caspian has been out pretty much since the film was released. There is still no legit Complete Score or Sessions for ANY Transformers.
