Just found a gamerip of this, and holy crap. The ending theme, as cheesy as it is, is probably Go Shiina’s most emotional vocal theme ever. The rest of the music seems to be on par if not better than the other AC games this team has worked on. VERY interested in finding the OST. It just came out today though, and was a promo item, so finding it might be a little bit tricky.

Yeah, this is absolutely one of the most important and awesome soundtracks of 2012. I love the music and the game, and I hope they’ll include all of the debriefing themes that weren’t in the game’s internal music player. Here’s hoping we can find this enclosure CD ASAP. Scarface Squadron, head out!

It’s a shame it’s not more widely available like Assault Horizon was. Cheapest price i could get quoted for this was just under €130, which is far too much for a two CD soundtrack as the game would be useless to me.

It’s a rather crappy line in recording, and it’s incomplete. This is all I have right now though. Here’s hoping the OST can be ripped sometime soon!

There’s already a request for this OST on these boards, and even though it’s not the official one that came out the 12th of January, it’s a good quality rip made by a Youtube user. The quality is much better than the above mentioned, but as I stated in an earlier post in this thread, it’s lacking the briefing, sortie, debriefing tracks and then some.

Really nice of you to have searched for it though Bushido Bob, but the tracks have this raspy, clattering noise in the background and only 22 tracks.

And if these really are the tracks that are on the enclosure CD, then I’m a little sad that they haven’t included the wonderful debriefing songs (i.e. track 16 of the official site samples) as mentioned in my previous posts.

Pretty sure they’re the same soundtrack, considering the games are the exact same, just named Cross Rumble in Japan and AH Legacy abroad.

I’ve got a Mediafire setup, so I’m just waiting to get home from work. There are two tracks (06 & 10) from Disc 1 that are titled in Japanese, so a little wait on the exact track name for now. They are from AC X2 and are by Go Shiina.

For those who do not already know, there are tracks from Air Combat22, AC 2, AC 04, AC Zero, AC 6, AC X2, & of course AC 3D CR on this OST. I’m on a tablet now, but we’ll post more info later today…

I think this particular case was initiated by Universal Music Group as they had a recent legal dispute with Megaupload over "The Mega Song" and this DoJ investigation is the next step. The whole case (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Megaupload#Legal_case) tries to single out Megaupload as the sole file hosting service who has criminal intents, while in my experience all these sites operate basically the same way (i.e. make money off ad impressions on popular files, and affiliate programs for premium members)

The FLACs are too large for MediaFire (over 460mb for disc 1 and 2). What else are my options? Let me know if these links are good to go and if the tracks come out alright. If you guys/gals can improve on what I’ve done thus far, please go ahead and do so. I’m just a "boot" compared to you all in regards to setting up these files. Like I said, let me know if I need to make some corrections with what’s uploaded so far. I’m doing most of this from a tablet, so here goes nothing…

Fantastic Airborne! You don’t know how happy this makes me. And the track I’ve been going on about is Track 15 on CD 2 – Coming Home. This is one of the most important OSTs of 2012 and I love that they released an OST at all, compared to Namco not releasing a Joint Assault OST.

Edit: This stuff’s great, but it feels like Namco starting to outsource their music to composers out of NBGI is a really bad idea. This KAZ Nakamura guy did half the soundtrack and all his songs are, to put nicely, complete crap. Then there’s those mediocre GEM Impact songs from Assault Horizon… Come on Namco, how are you not satisfied with Keiki Kobayashi, Go Shiina, and Nakanishi? :\

In other news, man! Go Shiina’s stuff here is stunning! A lot of this stuff even rivals Kobayashi’s old orchestral stuff.

I believe you as i haven’t played neither AC22 or ACX2, but i’d like to note that Namco Game Sound Express releases are not complete soundtracks, only selections, thus shouldn’t be treated as definitive proof for eliminating possibilities.

I have played thru all three (3) difficulties of the Air Combat22 (& Air Combat, BTW) arcade game while stationed in both MCAS Miramar, CA and MCAS New River, NC back in the day. I also have completed AC Joint Assault multiple times on the PSP. Being stationed now here in Japan, it would not be too difficult to borrow a co-workers JPN PSP to play AC X2 (which I own 2 un-opened copies of). Sorry my Friend(s) but "Sound Embrace" IS NOT from Air Combat22…

Don’t mean to start anything, but I fully believe its a typo and should actually state that this particular track (Disc 1 Track 15) is from Ace Combat X2 and NOT from Air Combat 22 (or Air Combar22, as it is known throughout the world).

The western title of the game is Ace Combat: Assault Horizon Legacy, so is this just a 3DS port of Assault Horizon from PS3/X360 or a new game?

It’s an enhanced remake of Ace Combat 2, taking place in strangereal again.
It’s probably called AH Legacy to cash in on the success of Assault Horizon.
