BILL & TED’S EXCELLENT ADVENTURE (unreleased score by David Newman) (FLAC)

This was the first of two Bill & Ted movies starring Alex Winter and a very young Keanu Reeves, this time as teens doomed to fail History class (and have their rock band broken up!) unless they pass an oral exam. A little time-travel comes to the rescue, history is brought to life, and their adventure ends excellently. Athough a CD of pop vocals from the film was released by A&M, the instrumental music was not. For this film David Newman created a rousing and appropriately youth-oriented score, toggling between orchestral and rock.

12 tracks from this score were also released on the private label DNCD (#009LR). In a close listening comparison I found it to contain both some of the same music as on the version I have here, and to also be different. Both apparently drew from the same source, but each decided on different music to use. Perhaps most significantly, the version I have here has 33 minutes of music, while the DNCD release only has about 17, presumably because it also has 22 tracks from the sequel, Bill & Ted’s Bogus Journey (which was also later released on Intrada).

Tau and EAC indicated all tracks on this disc to be lossless.
Disc was ripped to FLAC using XLD.

Only 9 untitled tracks as mentioned in the original post. 33 minutes total. I’ve never seen a 27 or 37 track version so can’t tell you how the music on my disc might differ from what you have—will you share yours Master William?
