I will, say… "Thanks :)"
Though I am afraid of the new anime of Jojo. Japanese seem to know , nowadays, to kill the old and epic and marvelous stuff, changing it to total trash.
example: Birdy The Mighty OVA (1996) – Birdy The mighty Decode (year of the WTF)
and some other issues incredibly destroyed.
Have you seen any of these series? The new Jojo I mean. 🙂
Is it any good?

It’s closely based on the original manga, apparently. I’m enjoying it, despite knowing little about the material it’s based on.
Everybody else, even /a/, says it’s amazing. Though I don’t know how was the old anime about JoJo.
Let’s put it this way, they’ve even managed to make Phantom Blood ball-to-the-walls manly and incredible.

I know… that’s the price for liking nishe stuff I guess.

Not counting that it obviously had low budget (it shows really, Episode 8, the Battle with Dio in his castle, was really well done though) and that they cut out some scenes due to being silly, too gruesome or just unimportant (namely Danny jumping out while burning, Wang Chen assaulting Jonathan at night and Speedwagon trying to walk on water).
Otherwise it’s perfect, they chose perfect voice actors, especially for Dio, scenes are recreated marvelously, music is as good as you’d expect and Jonathan is even larger than in manga, although he looks too much like Kenshiro after Zepelli dies.
Solid 7.5+/10 from me, -1 for cut scenes, -1 for low budget, -0.5 for censorship in the TV releases (blackness covering gore, will be removed in BluRay release)

Eh, how much do you love ironic appreciation? Cause the new Jojo is great at that! I know nothing about the series and am still just waiting for the part where they get Stands, but it’s been exactly as stupid, corny, terrible and amazing as I was lead to believe, despite doing nearly everything I despise about overly faithful manga adaptations and anime in general. It’s so tacky and ugly and over-the-top and retarded that you kind of just have to love it, and the actors throw themselves into every useless line. I love that a lot of people are apparently praising it as if it were actually, ya know, "Good" good. It’s not, by a long shot, but it’s the most fun I’ve had watching an anime all year, maybe for the past decade.
Ironically, the only part that falls flat for me is Hayato Matsuo’s interminable score. It’s extremely video gamey and it never shuts the fuck up, but unless it’s being particularly stupid(like breaking into Sakuraba-esque prog for no reason) I never, ever notice any of it and fully welcome his replacement by Taku Iwasaki come Part 2.
Sorry but your opinion is invalid.
Are you joking? As much as I like Taku Iwasaki, his music feels more "video gamey" than Hayato Matsuo’s. I like them both, actually, but I just simply must disagree with this, because LOL OPINIONs.
Yeah nope. They’ve both worked in video games, sure, but I know one of these people is far more creative and varied, and one is far more beholden to generic RPG orchestra tropes. To each their own. I for one am looking forward to music that actually amplifies all the crazy shit instead of fading uselessly into the background.
As a parody, and not for what it is and for what everyone else love it for.
