The game is being sold early and remastered music! (and it’s not shit either!) Game officially goes sale in 16 hours (aka tomorrow) I think, but who knows.

Disregarding for a moment that game-rips are, even when possible, time consuming… Those like you are pretty demanding, hell, it seems like you’re not moving a goddamn finger, just waiting for the "food" to be ready… yet, here you are complaining that nothing has surfaced after a few days. Have you stopped to consider one moment that maybe, just maybe, the audio-format hasn’t yet been cracked? It’s a possibility, I mean… Just for example, Metal Gear Solid 4: Guns of the Patriots has been out for years… And still nothing better than line-in recordings is possible, at least as far as I know.

Or, hey, nobody is bothering because they think some official album will likely be released…. Another possibility which I wouldn’t cross off, given the brand.

All files are encrypted. I mean the ones inside .mself. Since extracting the .mself files is not a problem (xentax)… but, the thing is the files are enycrypted in sdat’s of version 4.0.0 I believe. And this can be only decrypted on a custom firmware ps3s right now. And even then, I THINK, you need to have at least 4.30 firmware to do it. There’s info about it on xentax for anybody who wants to find out more. I have a ps3, but it’s too new of a model and I can’t install custom firmware for shit. So I am unable to get the files.

Yup, SDAT V4 encryption. Looks like KH1 has SCD MP3s like FFXIII and FFXIII-2. CoM looks like is reusing the PSH files from the PS2 version. Haven’t looked at Days yet.

I’m interested in helping. I have the original 60 gb backwards compatible PS3 with 4.30 CFW running on it. I’ve tried running Falo’s BMS script on "kingdom.mself", but it keeps asking to overwrite some files. I don’t know if they are separate or the same files. I also haven’t found anything on how to decrypt the .sdat files using the PS3 itself. The closest thing I could find was something about writing a program to call upon "cellFsSdataOpen" or injecting something into the game itself.

If I’m not mistaken, "Vector to the Heavens" is completely reorchestrated [or as performed exactly like the DS game but with real instruments]

I’ve listened to the soundtrack while playing through the game so far, and it’s actually quite nice. I really like what they’ve done from the original Final Mix back when I played that in 2009.

It may be this way because it’s the version that’s meant to be looped or they just included enough of the track for the cutscene. A rerecorded version of "Musique pour la tristesse de Xion" was also in the archive. It’s been cut short by a few seconds compared to the album version. Not all of the tracks have been recorded. The copy of "The Other Promise" is exactly the same as the album version. Tracks that were recorded in KHFM did not replace their counterparts in Days too.

There are a number of things I want to bring to Square Enix’s attention. Since we aren’t getting the localized version anytime soon, we can at the very least ask for minor improvements. They usually improve things while they localize a game. Hopefully that will happen, but I think they may be lazier this time around.

I honestly don’t know what is taking fadedsoulz so long, because you can just straight up upload the .ogg files, unless there’s separate encryption on those files.

Odds are that either the encryption is seperate, or he’s already ripped them all but he is converting them. If that’s the case then he might take a while… or he’s having a hard time uploading them all.

Or maybe he has things going on in his own life. We should just be patient.

Anyway, I thought I’d use this to feature my thread (Thread 131336) for the gamerip where I’ve compiled everything into one zip and edited all of the ID3 tags into one album (along with proper artist tags, etc.)

I know right?! What an idiot! Who would actually spend his time in extracting, decrypting and converting all of those tracks? /sarcasm

The tracks are perfectly loopable as the fade out only lasts one second. Just look up Everglow8444’s extensions on YouTube, they loop perfectly.
Have a little more respect please, thank you kind sir.

I’ve been looping these tracks myself and it’s pretty easy actually. He leaves just enough time to Loop. I looped Strange Whispers, uh… Holloween Town… Hollow Bastion… Parts of Dive Into The Heart and Holloween Town (Bottom Layer). I’ve looped each of those at least 3 or 4 times. Just cause I don’t like it when the songs last half an hour or even ten minutes.

i have no idea how to rip ps3 games. also, we in the US don’t get the game till the end of the year.

also, a few more tracks weren’t loopable. Traverse Town, End of the World & The Deep End. especially The Deep End as the second loop doesn’t even start.

don’t get me wrong, the sound quality was great. better than the other guy who did a portion of the rip on page 3 i think it was.

Okay you’re right, there may be some unloopable tracks, but I initially didn’t even think about sharing these songs at all. And besides…do those last seconds really matter? At least you’re able to listen to them, which was the whole reason I uploaded it. This is my first upload by the way, so I am in no way a "professional" ripper.

Hi, I’m Everglow8444 from YouTube. I was taking a look at the thread and I just had to log in for writing a couple of things here.

Seeing how that "idiot who did all this needs to go bury himself in a ditch" is being criticized for spending entire hours (or days, I would believe) extracting and converting these tracks, when no one else did the same, when everyone laughed at those people who asked to extract them since "it was impossible"… Now, are we serious or what? We got something that some people didn’t even think it was possible, or at the very least they had to wait for the english version of the game to come out. We got what people were asking for, and what do we do? Just suggest this guy to bury himself because my poor ears can’t stand an unloopable version of the track.
Alright, that can be annoying for those who listen to them 24/7, but you know what? Deal with it. You don’t like it? Take your computer and loop them yourself.

I’m not of these forums. I don’t even know GuardianSoul. But I do recognize a hard work when it is being done, I can see the efforts put into these kinds of thing. People shouldn’t be spending time for building "ditches" for him, but just telling him a single, simple word that nowadays people forget/don’t feel like saying.

To GuardianSoul: Am I right in guessing that the rips you provided are exactly how the files were when decrypted and such? The rip of The Deep End faded provided earlier in the thread ends at exactly the same point.

One-Winged Angel wasn’t still fully loopable, and i used my original file when i downloaded it. at least a few more seconds to it and i had it covered. i amplified the track like hell and didn’t get a completely positive result.

Barely managed to loop Monstrous Monstro with some amplifying with my original file as well. Pirate’s Gigue ended up to be easy.

Dude, just stop. You are obviously missing the point that everyone has made. Be grateful you even have the tracks to try and loop them! It’s that simple! If you aren’t satisfied with the gamerip, then just don’t listen to it. A proper soundtrack is set to be released sometime in the fall (That’s what I’ve heard anyway.) Until then, quit your complaining.

who said i wasn’t satisfied? i was just complainin that the soundtrack wasn’t 2-looped, that’s all. i’m more used to kingdom hearts soundtracks being 2-looped. simple.

It’s your whole attitude. You seem to protrude an air of selfishness, I mean, I’m sure you are enjoying the rip, but instead of saying that you are enjoying it or that you thank the guy who ripped it, for ripping it. You instead complain that the soundtrack isn’t looped. And because you are used to 2-looped is not all. You seem to demand that it meet your standards, regardless of how hard it was to obtain in the first place.

Nobody’s posted here for a while, so I’m bumping it. I’d like to see a looped version as well. GuardianSoul’s rip is, excuse me, crap. Most of the songs get cut off before they even end. Game’s been out in the US for a long while, how has no one made a better rip?

sorry, but I disagree. this is the exact gamerip from the game, so if you know where to look you find loop points.
in the game there is no such thing as a fade-out, the music loops.
