Depends on where you live, 17 dollars is cheap in European terms (because of the Dollar-Euro relationship). Moreover, 17 dollars is not much either – scores are generally 20 euros over here…

Everybody’s got their own reasons and their own budgets, Henry. I bought Newman’s Side Effects and Lennertz’ Identity Thief off Amazon for $15 each–that’s the max I feel a new CD should cost. And I Like those composers more than Pinto–he hasn’t earned more monetary respect than my favorites, not yet at least. And the infrastructure for mass producing CDs has been in place for decades now, yet prices have not gone down like other technologies do. The flatscreen I bought for $700 2 years ago now costs $450. Yet CD prices remain the same. I like to stretch my dollar, and I’m patient. I’m here at the shrine, but I still spend $50 or more on music every month. So if it’s alright with you, may I have permission to wait a bit longer to buy this one?
Thanks!
