Thanks!!!
I remember that I had this as MC… 😉
By the way, something puzzles me: it seems that the FLAC files of the tracks aren’t compressed at all (or the compresson do not reduce the size of the files). When I decode the FLAC files to uncompressed WAV files, they have the same size… If I re-encode them to FLAC, the size is smaller.
Since FLAC is a lossless encoder (even if it’s compressed), I don’t see the point of encoding the files in FLAC if they have the same size as uncompressed WAV.
When I was a 5th grade student, our entire history class went on a field trip to see this film at the then new Cooper Cinerama theater in Denver. That experience is is still as vivid in my mind today as it was 50 years ago. A great movie with a great soundtrack from one of the masters in Ernest Gold.
I also did get to experience the sound impact in the widescreen Cinerama theater. Even by 1963 standards, the theater sound system at the time was an experience that has lasted with me to this day, and one I’ll never forget.
Here’s the complete "Police Calls" that were played during intermission.

Thank you very much for your contribution in this forum.
This is a fantastic score !

Release "It’s a Mad, Mad, Mad, Mad World" by Ernest Gold – MusicBrainz (http://musicbrainz.org/release/1ca7581d-a0fb-4609-9256-7469afd8216d/cover-art) — In a zip file (http://ulozto.net/xfi7cfPh/scans-it-s-a-mad-mad-mad-mad-world-ernest-gold-2011-zip) (17.1 MiB).
For anyone who cares, there are no LOG / CUE Sheet files but when I used CUETools (http://cuetools.net/) to match it against the AccurateRip (http://www.accuraterip.com/) database I got a 3/3 match for CD 1 and a 4/4 match for CD 2 so that’s good enough for me.
*** UPDATE ***
I just realized that the files, while FLAC, are huge. They must have been encoded at a very low FLAC number. FLAC has several levels of compression. Level 8 is the MOST amount of compression which results in the SMALLEST files. It’s still 100% lossless. So I suggest to anyone who downloads this to re-encode to a higher FLAC number. I shaved around 40% off of the original file size. No quality is lost when you do this!
Anyway thanks again to the OP 🙂
I managed to fit in sequence (using the European version and an American, the version of 195 minutes with several breaks with still frames (With Audio) with different aspect ratio, better than nothing.
It can avail hope one day to see the full version of this movie?
It was so successful in Brazil that from time to time during the 1960s and 1970s it was rerun in theaters and I saw it again every time.
Thank you very much indeed for this treasure!
