EDIT: UPLOADED NEW VERSION, LINKS UPDATED. LOTS OF FIXES, CHANGES, ETC.
EDIT-2: Implemented correct intro, remixed whole track, revamped the ending everyone likes.
I’ve created my own arrangement of the Spinning Dock cue using various music editing tools, this took a very long time and includes organ layers that I wrote in myself because the OST lacks even more than I originally thought.
Anyway, here you go:

However it’s a sad day when we get 2 hours of movie score but the 2 minutes everybody want aren’t actually on it and that we must make and mix our own film versions…
I saw many people already did. You never know it might help!
Raw WAV file is at 65% upload.
Of course not. What did you expect 🙂
Now everyone has their hopes up that it will be in the Z+ app that will get released in the next hours or days. But I’m sure that will be just the deluxe soundtrack as well.
And don’t count on it to be on the "ultimate edition" as well. That will probably have "exclusive demo sessions, suites, mockups and music not featured in the movie". Like every other super deluxe version of Zimmer the past years.
though that provides little hope, considering they could just say we should be happy with the Itunes tracks
That is a comment I read EVERYTIME a Zimmer soundtrack gets released. But never when other soundtracks get released daily. Cause for some reason every other composer knows exactly what their best cues are and put them on the album and skip ambient stuff in favour of music.
Recording Sessions are for the soundtrack collector public who want a complete experience. Key scenes like this should be on the commercial releases. Sometimes I’m beginning to think Zimmer does this on purpose since it’s been like this for years now…
to be fair the 2nd disc of ASM and MoS had some cues from the movie
though that provides little hope, considering they could just say we should be happy with the Itunes tracks
True, but for all the hours of music released the "Lois theme" wasn’t featured at all. And another key scene "Saving Lois" which was the best version in the movie wasn’t released either and fans had to make their own version and SFX ridden rips as well

As requested.
Be sure to show this to people who you know want this track as much as we do.
Can’t believe they didn’t put it on the deluxe album. Unbelievable.
Just a thought.
This is awesome work, really impressive! And very generous to share it with us! That’s great you did that and took on your free time for this!
Not exactly the film version, of course, but so close, and it will help to wait for the official one… if it comes one day -_-‘
I’m just as surprised and annoyed as you, guys, that Zimmer and/or Water music could "forget" or ignore THE track of the score, it’s just unbelievable! Fortunately, we can always count on members and community to find solutions together! 🙂
I saw many people already did. You never know it might help!
I complained back in 2012 during TDKR… they blocked me
awesome!!!! is there an actual date for the release or no?
Whenever WaterTower Music stops being greedy bastards?
so i’m guessing it’ll be awhile……….. well shit!!!
I don’t think WaterTower is to blame. Okay they make a lot of editions but the fact they release it separately means that it is probably not on that special edition either. Otherwise they would just said to wait. Hans is listed as score compiler so he probably thought "oh it’s just another alternate with a few notes difference. Let’s not put this on it". Same with MOS escape scene probably. Everytime "it’s just anoter variation" those tracks are not on the score. Shame he always choses the "light versions" instead of the "epic mix"
I complained back in 2012 during TDKR… they blocked me
Well this time they must block a lot of people. Their wall is full of complainers 🙂
Let’s not forget Sherlock Holmes: A Game of Shadows. That release was a real joke.
Could be soon – they’ll need to finish with those clearances, that’s the only thing, then they’ll drop it. Probably in time with WIRED’s Nolan-edited issue next week?
With inception it was only a day between announcement an release. So let’s hope this is the case too ^^
I will have gone through a wormhole myself and saved the planet while the rest of you are 80-90 years old and on your deathbed before the sessions are released
I complained back in 2012 during TDKR… they blocked me
You didn’t complain, you harassed them lol
The reply wasn’t even a joke:P It was indescribably bad. So bad that not only was it not complete, but the stuff that actually was on there, was in the wrong tempo…
I fixed the tempo problem. Check it out. 🙂
I’ve actually got your edition already!
From the heart of my bottom, thank you for saving the planet. Now I know I’ll get to see Avengers: AOU.
Regarding whether WaterTower Music was being evil, wicked, mean and nasty read this excerpt from a column courtesy of the Digitalbits.com about the mishandling of the release of Star Trek: Into Darkness on blu-ray. I’ll wait.
"A few weeks after our posts, I was invited up to Paramount to meet with the studio’s home video team to talk about the issue. I have to say, I was pleasantly surprised. They were honest, acknowledged that they’d made mistakes with the title (with the best of intentions, believe it or not – new people were in charge and they really didn’t expect the fan backlash) and wanted my opinion on how they could make it up to Trek fans. And they really did want to make it right.
First of all, yes… I DID let them know that fans really want better special editions of the classic Trek films, with new, properly-remastered transfers and the director’s cuts. So please know that message was conveyed and the idea is under consideration."
You’re back. Here’s the moral of the story: sometimes people make a mistake; no dark, ulterior motives need apply. Maybe we should concentrate on the fact Warner is addressing the issue, doing right by the fans. And when the fix goes out remember to visit their website and write "thank you."
BTW: here’s the link to the entire article: Paramount finally makes the Trek Into Darkness BD right with Star Trek: The Compendium! (http://www.thedigitalbits.com/columns/my-two-cents/062314_0600)
I re-made the whole track all over and fixed pretty much everything that was inaccurate or whatever.
I added the percussion from the original track, I added more instruments near the end to empower the track with more gravity, and I added the actual ending of the track instead of the shitty one.
Enjoy!

I’d really like to know that chain of events because it makes no sense.
(and I think actually it was the soundtrack producer who said we’d get the cue, not Zimmer himself 🙂 )
The deluxe edition is out of chronological order.. Tracks 1-16 are in order… And Tracks 18-22 are in order.. But not in order together
I know but the reason that was done was because they could only fit so much on one disc…that’s my guess. But, this is a way better release than earlier this year with The Amazing Spider-man 2.
What did they leave out of that one? I heard they kept out little random shit but did they leave out important cues?

Excellent work. Thank you. 🙂
Great work and the improvement is really nice !
Kudos to you and thank you !!

Which is not a surprise with Zimmer butchering as usual his works on CD, even with deluxe editions.
chronologically ordered, right titles for each track, tracks actually are the movie versions
Thanks TylerakaSyn for your awesome work!

Zimmer continues to piss me off with his contempt for fans of movie scores, he does whatever the hell he wants and releases versions of his music that seem intentionally determined to annoy. Other movies have had fantastic releases like the Trent Reznor/Atticus Ross 3cd release of The Girl With The Dragon Tattoo, why can we not get something of the scale of magnitude like Interstellar released as just a single title release which contains all of the 23 tracks we’ve got PLUS other main tracks like Spinning Dock included. Surely they know there is a market for special releases that contain all of the music from a movie spanning almost 3 hours to put out a release with enough media to contain more than a mere 74 minutes of music and not just a selection? Honestly, why is it always the dumb shits that get to be in charge of things like this?
Thanks TylerakaSyn for your awesome work!
I’ve got to agree with ahdvd on this one…

So where would this go chronologically? After "Coward" but before "Imperfect Lock"? Or after "Imperfect Lock"?

after imperfect lock, make sure they crossfade
There’s a big difference between not screwing up a movie (which was complete btw) and leaving off one of the best tracks from a movie in a soundtrack release. How many people did this go through, from Zimmer himself all the way down, and nobody said "gee, should we put this track on the list?".
I’d really like to know that chain of events because it makes no sense.
There’s no way this was just a mindless "goof" by someone in the chain — leaving out the most intense, climactic track/scene of the entire movie.
However it’s a sad day when we get 2 hours of movie score but the 2 minutes everybody want aren’t actually on it and that we must make and mix our own film versions…
What cue are you talking about?
Thanks TylerakaSyn for your awesome work!
Look at Oblivion… the deluxe edition was complete (even had an extra cue).
The bluray release had an isolated score… so we got the film mixes
Call me crazy, but I find "Mountains" to be far superior to this, assuming it was created faithfully.
um… have you not seen the movie?
The spinning dock sequence is the climax of the film… everything hangs on this scene and the docking happening

18. Docking (http://www9.zippyshare.com/v/75156718/file.html)
@ Post 76, I think we are all suffering from manipulation, cause while the tension of the scene was nerve wracking, musically it doesn’t beat the Mark snow/James Horner – esque ascending chaos of "Coward".

Thread 182282
Why are you guys hijacking my thread by posting random fan made stuff?
Also: I’m thinking about making another version with the strings and longer organ chords in the first half on top of the source material from Day One – Dark but I don’t know if it’s worth the effort.
Interstellar: Original Motion Picture Soundtrack (Deluxe Version) (https://itunes.apple.com/us/album/interstellar-original-motion/id944005211)
The original Spinning Dock Sequence cue is up on iTunes, but missing few elements; the Organ and the final choir.
But there’s no final choir (Interstellar – docking – YouTube (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=rrt-L_9L3FI)). Which part is missing organ?
looks like the movie version was a very late edit that Zimmer might not even have access too
looks like the movie version was a very late edit that Zimmer might not even have access too
I compared the YouTube clip (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=rrt-L_9L3FI) and "No time for caution" and they are structurally identical after 1m59s (though, it’s possible the uploaded clip was edited). Some choir (the "Mountains" choir) missing for 35 seconds in the mix, starting at 2m54s in track 22, but that’s it. Could be a matter of where the choir is in the theatrical surround mix, could be a post production tweak in the music mix. Very good of WB/Zimmer to add the source track to the deluxe edition, because it is unique and not a mix of "Mountains" and "Day One Dark", as someone previously posted.
Turns out it was a post production tweak according to a post by Hybrid Soldier (http://www.hans-zimmer.com/index.php?rub=disco&id=1256):
"Actually I got it confirmed, the cue as you’re looking for it doesn’t really exist, it’s just post production mess in the hands of music editors & mixers (so obviously Mountains material used)…"

now we just need someone to post it here.
Interstellar – Hans Zimmer "No Time for Caution" – newly added to iTunes DLX (Thread 182318)

… of course it’s not perfect but at least there’s some organ involved.

Thanks for doing this. It’s a definite improvement. Now that we have the real track, hopefully people can build more and more on it over time.
I will do another one including the choir but for now my ears are bleeding… I guess editing a harp concerto would be less exhausting.
Uh, yeah, I like how the movie version actually does sound amazing and the fan versions are terrible.

The ending of this fan version (https://mega.co.nz/#!ZoIkkKQK!P8waJEeWDfGHPpoh83wKfX4hiAGCrUKYvSkX-3nrrAo) uses the audio from that video, I think the end sounds pretty close to the movie version

Thank you everybody for sharing your work on this piece that was ‘incomplete’ for release.
See post above 🙂
No, not quite. But apart from the missing pipe organ hits, it is the closest to the movie mix we’ve yet heard.
Yeah and it’s still terrible — it’s missing vocals, mastering/dynamics, the organ sound that you DO hear is weak, cheap/free/thin organ samples.
Also stop bumping this old thread and bump the new one. This thread is for the fan made edit from before we had the source for NTFC.
