Isn’t 320 cutoff around 18? 16 was for 160-192?
Depends on the type of audio. For something laden with percussion and loudness, yes,
but for orchestral pieces, they tend to lose a lot of the higher frequencies due to being
mostly silent. Also depends on the codec used. LAME is generally 19.5/20kHz cuttoff with a
a slight shelf at 16kHz for 320kbps, but these were compressed with FHG. I am unfamiliar
with FHG, but these files are definitely CBR 320. Free-format, too, which is a bit unusual.
Great share!
It’s actually not that terrible. Its main problems are the kid and chimp duo being a little cringe-y at times, and the inconsistent quality of CGI. Everything else is handled rather decently. It showed how well a live-action anime adaptation can turn out when there’s an actual budget and people with filmmaking experience behind the damn film, unlike garbage such as Dragon Ball Evolution, which was practically a DTV movie in theatrical disguise.
so every complete score is welcome.
Thank you again.
It really isn’t.
Check it out on a huge screen and hold onto your face.
Great covers, Mr Gold!
I enjoyed the movie for what it was, a bit of popcorn fun.

Yeah, I did, but the version I had was not truly complete (as someone else mentioned). It was also lower quality and there was at least one track – maybe two – that cut off before its ending. It’s just what I had and I was more than happy to share. THIS is the real deal though, so huge thanks to Dr. Housetapatula!
As for the movie, I loved it, but I’ve resigned myself to the reality that most people just don’t like Wachowski films the way I do. It’s as close as live action will ever get to being a cartoon – that’s the best way to describe it. The actors act very much like the characters do in the cartoon. Not as many "WAAAAAAAAA!!!!!" yells, hahaha, but they’re very animated. The choreography is very true to the cartoon as well. They really do some super cool, inventive stuff for the film. I also think, personally, it’s one of my favorite Giocchino scores – he always does a stellar job of integrating jazz into an orchestra. It’s a real throwback to old Barry, Goldsmith and Williams scores (like in their TV days) but with a very modern feel to it.

FHG isn’t used as much.
In really old days, FHG devs recommended such a low cut off like that we see.
With the right settings, it can produce hq encodes, like LAME.
Low cut off around 16 was in really old LAME presets, too.
But they started changing in the past year or so.
Thanks for the share.
I really enjoy this movie.
Visually, it’s great. Especially in certain 3D glasses (Pulfrich, ChromaDepth).
The colors really help with the ChromaDepth viewing/separation.

If you go in expecting a cinematic masterpiece, you’re going to be disappointed. If you just want to be entertained for 2 hours, it’s an immensely fun film, and a perfect adaptation of the anime.
Listening to it now…
Wait, there’s a third version of the end credits?
cheers
would you be so kind and send me the link to this great music.
Much appreciated
