Resident Evil 2 Remake is brilliant, it truly is. It’s not perfect though.
Here are 5 Things I Like, 5 Things I Don’t Like, and 5 Things I Would Have Changed.

Your thoughts on the A/B scenario are also on point. Clearly a tacked on feature. Capcom somehow had the horribly misinformed notion that people "didn’t want branching storylines", or something to that end, ergo we get "scenario A all over again but with Tyrant stomping around from the outset and now that gunpowder is in a different room". At least they still put effort into the final standoff on the tram.
Not much else to add at the moment. But thank you for opening a discussion on this. It’s been a major part of each weekend for me since launch. God help me.
Not even William Birkin is anywhere near as relevant now as he once was. Talk about a fall from grace. This is a game with a lot more positives than negatives, and let’s not forget those holes in the wall, courtesy of my boy Nemesis. We’ll be seeing him in the near future but in the meantime, nothing beats this (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=L5PY4lZazX8) utter terror! Quakin’ in my boots over here, I am.
RE 2 Remake is a re-imagining of the original but CAPCOM took many liberties and also experimented a lot with it.
Perhaps in the day I play it I may change my opinion. Or not.
