What music you have listened coming fuzzy on the rear speakers? The only music I made some changes or mixing on my sound editor were 007 Racing, The African Rundown music from the Casino Royale OST, Tomorrow Never Dies Complete Soundtrack, Goldeneye N64 Complete Soundtrack, and James Bond: The Duel. And they were all in 2 channel stereo, so I don???t know what you mean by that

Nobody (until now) has deleted my topic, or banned me, or anything like that, because I didn???t post anything pirated (or at least I think so!)

And yeah, you are free to publish my links on the net (even if you haven???t asked =D. Just kidding!). I just hope I???ve been clear enough!

And, about the TWINE rip I promise, it was almost finished, with just one track to convert from the USF format to mp3, but I have the unfortunate idea of updating my Winamp… A update that is full of bugs, including on the plugin to hear the USF tracks. So, I???m trying to use the PC of a friend of mine to rip from there, so it will have to wait for a while! This is the last time I update a software: When it isn???t bugged, it slows the computer… I won???t mess anymore when already works perfectly!

Remember how I mentionned that the soundtrack for Goldeneye: Rogue Agent was missing a lot of songs. Well during the summer, I wanted to rip the music and create the missing songs but it seemed a lot more complicated than I expected. First of all, I plug the white/red cable from the back of the console into a "Y" audio adapter, which goes into the "line in" of my sound card in my computer. I used a program called "Goldwave" which helped me with the editing of the music.

My problem is that I’ve only been able to rip the multiplayer music, which I am yet to be done since they are randomised. As for the single player, the music will change after each checkpoint and the beat is louder when you are in intense action. So I am wondering how do you record music that is, let’s say "not linear", because it seems to be much easier just to ask the composer to buy the music, which I’ve tried with this game, however it was impossible to contact Paul Oakenfold since EA wouldn’t give me his e-mail address.

I wasn’t aware of the commanderbond.net website, I should check it out sometimes.

p.s. Is it ok if I send you a copy of a song that I ripped for goldeneye’s multiplayer to see if the quality is fine? Is your method of ripping music different? If yes, how do you do it? Thanx.

Nic Raine became involved with Bond as a conductor for John Barry in A View To A Kill and The Living Daylights. In Goldeneye, the original composer was Eric Serra, and John Altman was the conductor of the symphonic parts of the score (he works a lot with Serra, since he conducted the scores for Leon, The Fifth Element and another movies with the score composed By Serra). Eric Serra did compose the score for the tank chase scene, but it was rejected by the producers (just download the soundtrack and listen to track 10. I think you’ll get the answer to that). So they got Altman to do this, and it feels great on the scene (Serra’s intended score was good, too; I made a experimental video with it and it fits the scene greatly). I hope I’ve been clear enough to answer your questions, and sorry about the big post here!

Just to inform you guys, I started ripping Goldeneye yesterday. I think I won’t have any problems with, just the ocasional volume drops on some scenes. I just hope you like when I post it here!

I think that is the case with this one, but it is almost identical with the original. Anyway, I just wanted to put that Goldeneye Instrumental as a Bonus track, not some kind of joke or something… If you don???t like, just delete it, no problem at all.

It is the one in which Dr. Bashir pretends to a 60’s spy in a holosuite programme. It is a ripoff of Bond for sure, and the music is very Bondish. 😉

Also the Pet Shop Boys were asked to produce a title track for ‘The Living Daylights’ but due to a disagreement over whether they could do the entire soundtrack got rejected. The song that came from it was ‘This Must Be The Place I Waited Years To Leave’ on their album Behavior.

Thanks man. How did you rip the unreleased Callery tracks? I borrowed a pal version of the ps2 and could only drop the sfx as far as 25%, so I left it. Also, I couldnt convert the mus and bnk files.

I’ve downloaded the expanded soundtrack of Tomorrow Never Dies from here a couple of days ago and noticed something that’s been bugging me for a while now. The Backseat Driver is missing that Bondish Climax fanfare from 3:41 to 3:56 from the scene when the BMW 750 reached the rooftop and then right before bashing through the wall. Could someone please explain to me why they edit "that" out from the track, because to me the score just doesn’t feel like it’s giving enough, little or even no justice at all to that particular scene or the whole car chase in the parking lot!!!

The better quality and the less dialogue/SFX = the more time unfortunately. So it’ll be a while.

Octopussy does have a lot of music on the rear channels but has a lot of SFX, and LTK is spread between Centre and FL/FR. So they’re really tough!

I think Octopussy is definitely possible though. The non-CD cues will never sound as good as the CD ones though, obviously, so don’t expect the rip to be as good 😛 Although it’ll be high-quality.

I’m sure you know what I mean about OP/LTK, not easy to do. I mean, some tracks will be bad. There’s no denying it- I can think of a couple of LTK tracks straight away that you can’t lose the SFX. Thankfully there are others where there’s little, or you can use the CD cue (i.e. escaping WaveKrest music).

OP I have good hopes for. We’ll see if we can make it an all time high 😛

And Rafael: Do you mean if I need assistance I should ask? Well, I’m curious about what audio editor and plugins you use, and any other tricks of the trade you use- if it helps me it’ll help make a better rip of course.

I already have the music ripped- editing and pasting is the hard task ahead.

Anyway, to edit and master the tracks, I use Sony Sound Forge 8.0… When the music requires some cuts and editing, like crossfades and such, I prefer using Acid pro 6.0, since it has better controls of the music, and Multiple audio tracks.

Since the movie music and the cd music have diferent volume levels, I suggest you normalize all the songs to the same volume level, using the function normalize, or something like that.

I want the music :p Anybody?!

With all the ‘complete’ soundtracks, for example The Man WIth the Golden Gun, the SFX have been pretty much muted, but you can still hear then a little bit. It’s the same with the Voice/Kareoke versions on Tomorrow Never Dies where the music and voice repsectively have been muted. Is there a good programme to do this with?

So, you can???t isolate them, because all the channels play the same thing

I have been dying to get at least some form of full score bootlegs to A View to a Kill and Octopussy for a while now, Tried it myself, but I’m not very good at this stuff by any means.

Not until someone get the trailer with 5.1 sound… In VOB format We???ll have to wait if this teaser will be on some dvd release.

I have been dying to get at least some form of full score bootlegs to A View to a Kill and Octopussy for a while now, Tried it myself, but I’m not very good at this stuff by any means.

Well, these two soundtracks are the worst to rip from the dvd; because of the sound mix, you can???t get rid of the dialogue and sfx. So, unfortunately, the final result wouldn???t be so good.

I put it together myself, by repeating part of the music to avoid the gunshot sound and using the end part of the gunbarrel music in the A View to a Kill music video to avoid the helicopter noise (which is why there’s a slight drop in quality at the end).

When I bought the original release a few weeks before the film came out I loved it…until I actually saw the movie and found that it was lacking over half of the music from the film. Then when they released that expanded score version months later I picked it up the day it came out, and it was fantastic, but still missing a lot. Annoying to say the least.

But now after all these years to FINALLY have the complete score…I simply cannot thank you enough!

I mean, I’m exceedingly greatful for all the rest of the music you’ve posted here as well, but man, you have no idea how happy finally getting the complete TND score made me.

So again, THANK YOU!!!!

In the car chase at the beginning is there music? If so, is it on the soundtrack album?

Yes, it is. It’s the first track : "Time to get out".
But there are little differences between the soundtrack on cd and in the movie. In Quantum, the music for the car chase at the beginning is cut in two parts, but on the ost, these two parts are binded with no cut.

Damn, I just looked on here looking to see if the "James Bond: The Gold Collection" was here and saw that… I’ll try to get those ripped as soon as possible because I deleted the original rar files after I uploaded them (figured someone else could re-upload them if needed…)

You know what I’d love to hear? An instrumental version of "You Know My Name" done in the style of the original "Casino Royale" theme… the one by Herb Alpert. Granted, the original CR was so crappy it probably was better than some of the worst Bond movies, but the theme was the movie’s few redeeming factors (in my opinion, anyways.)

[edit] Okay, I’ve ripped the Royal Philharmonic one and another that Windows Media Player claimed to be on by the London Pops (which I can tell you is NOT by the London Pops.) However, my laptop is not liking the Las Vegas International Philharmonic one for some odd reason (keeps kicking it out.) I’ll try to have it ripped… eventually.

Looking at the condition of some of my CDs, maybe backing them up isn’t such a bad idea…

[edit2] Okay, managed to trick the computer into letting me rip the Las Vegas one (still don’t know why it was giving me soo much grief about it though.) I’m going to do some quality control later today before attempting an upload. Right now, I’m going to get some sleep.

That’s the biggest problem with soundtrack releases, particulalry James Bond ones – they never have the music you wnat most – the James Bond theme/Gunbarrel is so rarely included, and often that’s the highlight of the soundtrack.

The track heard over the end credits of the new James Bond film "Quantum of Solace" is now available to buy from iTunes.

"Crawl, End Crawl’ was not previously available and was not included on the film’s official soundtrack.

The track was composed by Four Tet and 007 regular David Arnold. According to the Four Tet blog, the track was "not included on the soundtrack album because I was asked to do the track at a very late stage of the project and the soundtrack album had already gone into production."

The man beind the Four Tet name, Kieran Hebden, describes it as "a kind of remix of stuff from the score of the film".

Fans are now left wondering what was originally intended to play over the end credits before this last minute replacement was commissioned.

Would be great to have those.

Actually, it was solely composed by Arnold and just remixed by Four Tet. It says so in the end credits of the movie. That site should check their facts before posting any news.

The file is less than 40MB and I thought this was a 2CD set.

I don’t know if it was supposed to be a 2CD set, but there are 30 total songs, along with a track listing file and the cover artwork. 32 things total.

The Casino Royale Complete Score was actually an official release, as an iTunes exclusive in the US and Europe (I think – it didn’t come out here in Australia). It came out around the same time as the movie did.
