That would be a collection of the songs I guess, since that’s the case with other movies/games. OST would be the real soundtrack.

IMO SFII-Animated Movie is one of the rare moments in anime history where the synchronization AND the soundtrack are both superior to the original Japanese ones.

this was my first Manga Video Cassette back in pfff 1994
I really love this soundtrack. Usually i prefer the Japanes original score but in this case Manga Video again put in some really good guitar tracks.
I like both Soundtracks a few Jears laterer I watched the Japanese
language version with english sub. Manga Video gave the english version some really grrreeat new touch way more real fighting spirit instead of those slow japenese spiritual music. Not that I dont like the Japenes soundtrack but this
English version just reminds me of the 1990s.

i remember when i discover napster the first thing i did was stop the SFIIM Videotape on end titles and searching the tracks that are played on this films (kmfdm,korn, alice in chains etc)

i find the japanes soundtrack too in the 99 in some Brazilian weird page
but
i was searching this score for years, a lot of years
i remember a MP3 from sagat vs ryu figth that was riped from a vhs that i download from audigalaxy that had the fx sound (kicks punch screasm etc) of the fight too x’D

i see this movie when i was a child in spanish (not latin spanish im from barcelona,europe) and it had a exelen dub too
(and had no censorship on the chunli shower scene :naughty: :D_ )
now the band that appears on the film (korn, kmfdm, in the nursery etc) had become ones of my favoruties bands, that were completly anonymous band on spain on middle 90 (korn get more succes on the begining of the new century but the rest…)

this soundtracks is amazing, i don’t know why never was released on any commercial way, Cory Lerios & John D’Andrea compose a very great score

Snake!! I wub you!!! I have been after this soundtrack ever since it hit UK shores 14 years ago and fell in love with the opening fight sequence with Ryu and Sagat!! It just opened up the whole movie as the soundtrack really got you in the mood for the whole film!! I cant thank you enough been after this baby for ages and I even got the japanese version only too realise it was a completely different soundtrack and was so insuperior too the US one:S

Seen some requests for this a while ago. Here’s the unofficial OST for the US release of the Street Fighter II: The Animated Movie. It’s got the songs and the original score by Cory Lerios & John D’Andrea. The stuff was collected by the guys at the imdb forums, the sound ripping done by marioxb.

for a little history on where these came from – this soundtrack was never officially released, so some guys at the imdb forums actually track down Cory Lerios and asked him for a copy, he says he would give it but they never heard from him again(no surprise), so they decide to rip the tracks from the anime itself and clean them up and remix them to as close to the original as possible, i think mrpolite was the guy who did the cleanup, i passed the stuff to Solidsnake when i saw he was looking for them, don’t remember if i upped them or gave him links from imdb, this was way back in 2006…

I can add a little to this, because I am the one from the IMDB forums who contacted Cory Lerious, the main composer. He kindly answered, but like you said, I never heard from him again (I found his contact details via his band website, "Pablo Cruise", lol). Then I contacted John D’Andrea, the second composer, who sent me a signed self burned CD with the unused bonus track (the long one, clearly same type of music as the rest of the score). The, like you said, MrPolite did all the ripping, using the 5.1 sound option and focusing on those channels with mainly music (that’s why some SFX can still be heard in the background, very low, from time to time). It was a long search, and a long road, but like all of you crazy guys here, I WANTED this thing so bad, since my childhood. Perfect training music 🙂

Random fact: Cory Lerios and John D’Andrea are also the composers for the complete Baywatch series! Did you know that?!?

PS: For more details on the ripping (it should be possible with virtually any movie DVD, as long as it has 5.1 – opening new possibilities!), check this movie’s IMDB page, go to the forums and check the many soundtrack threads. wooooo hooooo! Wow! thanks a lot! the U.S. version much better IMO that the Japanese. Why? Because unlike the Japanese Version (which I have because the music on there isn’t bad at all), the U.S. version has all the music heard in the film far as I can tell & it sounds the way they sounds in the film so basically the U.S. version is the SF2 Animsted Movie OST- The Film Version.

Speaking of the film, it’s underrated IMO. I don’t know if this has a dvd release, but SF The Movie & The Legend Of Chun-Li which were box office flops got blu-ray releases. This one should 2 since these are better. The animation, music, story, voice acting, all very well done!!!

Best songs IMO: Ryu’s Thene (Reprise) – heard in the film in the end where in the daytime, Ryu is driving & Bison in seen.

The other best song IMO: The opening (listen to this from beginning to end & just very closely & carefully hear & listen to it’s brilliantly slow buildup from soft to HARD) – the parantheses text is the reason why this song is soooo brilliantly done!!!

I know it says Unofficial, but has the U.S. version been released anywhere at all? I was wondering if there is a lossless version out there somewhere & if it please be posted. don’t hold out lol. if it can be done, please do it. but if not, then what about a 320 mp3? i appreciate the 160 mp3. but if a btter quality can be posted, shared, and downloaded, why not? im sure many will welcome this. every SF fan i know likes the music. im downloading it for them (as well as for myself of course & our ipods lol).

But like I explained, it only contains that long medley song, that resembles parts of the score but was not used in the movie, at least not fully. It is labeled "bonus track from John D’Andrea" or something similar in the download packs.

this should def get a US release so we can get a lossless version. till then i guess no lossless. 2 this day, cant believe this awesome ost hasn’t been released yet here. kinda sucks considering what has been released.

I don’t remember if I have ever shared my new organized Custom Soundtracks of this. But At the moment I can only shared the old files I still have. These were the very first ones from 2006. When I have time to get my proper pack, with proper tagging and info of the tracks and all kinds of complete stuff on it; I will share that. 😉

Unfortunately, this soundtrack is not complete at all. I have both VHS and DVD of this movie, and I know it from back to forward and there are tracks that were left out. At first I thought, maybe because some tracks were just repeated. But no. Ken VS Bison (the fight scene on Bison’s airplane) was not included, but that track is really different, a new one. I know there are at least 3 or 4 tracks that were not ripped. I know I was just sad about that track of Ken VS Bison not being included.
Anyway, Here I am sharing the old pack but… I Decided to make 2 covers for this thing. Hope you guys like it. 🙂

where do those tracks come from? i mean, i love japanese scores to animes but for this one it was just tooo soft, the american version hit the nail and i never found a ost of this one sadly…..

I don’t like the Japanese soundtrack. It totally kills all the moments in the movie, and music is bad placed, and it gives a total POP gay feeling to a movie full of action and violence. A violent POP gay action movie, is what I consider it withe Japanese soundtrack.
This soundtrack came from 2006 when a guy decided to do one of the best jobs in ripping music at the time. There are at least 2 missing tracks. Bison vs Ken and some other. I am pretty sure my upload has a txt file with that info.

yes me too, i have the US dvd with both versions of the movie and i was shocked how bad the japanese score is sadly….. i wonder how he rip those files, you can hear some sounds still but it is awesome how he got it so clean!

NOTICE TO EVERYONE!!!!!!

The soundtrack has an updated as a COMPLETE OST COLLECTION. the missing tracks like "Ken vs. Bison" are now included.
The bonus tracks included in the last versions (Street Fighter 1 game sountrack (TG16) redbook) are still in debate of continuing there or now.
I don’t see any reason to make new covers for this. So the covers I made before will stay the same.
