Is there any way that I can get an original sound version of the first Killer Instinct soundtrack? (Not the remixed "Killer Cuts" album)

Me too, I’ve been looking for it’s been ages. Unfortunatelly the emulation here at home sucks, and I won’t go the trouble of ripping low quality songs. Would be great if someone worked on the original machine though.

I guess you could say getting this OST is a life or death thing =)

Here’s how to get the original arcade version of the music for KI:
First grab the roms for the arcade version if you don’t have them already, grab it here:

You don’t really need the hard drive img for the music,
since all the music and sound effects are stored on the romset which is around 5 MBs.

Now go to this site and download the arcade music and sound emulator M1:
