I got this one today from Play-Asia ๐ The tracks are all in Japanese but I have asked in the Koh Otani thread for some translations. I plan to post lossless and proper LAME encoded mp3 later but for now all I could do was rip with ZUNE player. All the proper ripping will be much easier once I get the translated track list.
This is not a fun score. As you can see from the cover art, and guess from the name, this is about the effects of a massive earthquake in Japan. The story revolves around a brother and sister as they make their way home after being separated from their parents. The earthquake hits while they are off checking out a robot show without their parents because their parents are too busy. The older woman in the cover meets up with the pair and gives them the strength and guidance to travel together. The anime itself is quite beautifully written and very emotional towards the end. I felt much more humanity in this anime than you get from most Hollywood disaster flicks. Koh Otani’s score makes the story much more real than anything Hollywood as well. Considering the story the music accompanies, it is completely fitting.
One major theme from the entire anime is that people don’t properly appreciate their family members until something drastic happens that pulls them together. When you listen to this heart wrenching music, if there is a family member who you have drifted apart from, try to do something nice for them to work things out.
but could you upload it to a another place?
i cannot open the mediafire orz
very thanks!
Domo Arigatou Gozaimashita! m(_ _)m
Kongo mo yoroshiku onegaishimasu. (^^)/
.
thanks ๐
Unfortunately, it seems like the Mediafire gremlins are at work again… Track 5 is corrupted. Everything else is fine. Would you be good enough to re-upload 5?
Cheers ๐
EDIT: Rapidshare added.
Its really a shame that no major soundtrack releasing group ever released this, especially because most of the groups released the OP/ED albums. It really makes no sense.
But thanks for uploading!
A perusal of the accompanying material provides some clues for folks who’re attempting to tag their own copies. Tracks 2-29, inclusive, are obviously Koh Otani’s work; the first track is correctly attributed to abingdon boys school; and the last is attributable to Shion Tsuji.
While waiting for non-Babelfish translations, copying-and-pasting the appropriate part of each filename into the title field filled that in nicely.
I am not sure what sort of translation are you looking for, but as an expression of my gratitude I’ve translated the titles in romaji:
1. Kimi no Uta (abingdon boys school)
2. Mirai no Nichijou
3. Yuuki no Omoi
