Naoki Sato – Pretty Cure (Orchestral Anime Scores)

Finally it is done. Here is perhaps the most marvelous work of Naoki Sato. The scores for the japanese "fight/magical girl" anime Pretty Cure.
The music is charming, catchy, thrilling, exciting, even epic at times and you wouldn’t believe this is "apparently" for a show for little girls.
When I posted the Allstars OST some time ago it contained just a small compilation of Naoki Sato’s other scores and only two tracks were original.
So here is the real deal, every piece of music Naoki Sato has ever composed for the franchise including some tracks which are not on the OSTs.
Everything is taged in english and proberly structured for a better listening experience.

Naoki Sato is certainly on of my favorite composers and he has created a unique style for Pretty Cure.
Yasuharu Takanashi tried to implement this style into his own when he took over as the lead composer for the franchise and he even returned to a more "Toward the Terra" approach with Pretty Cure but the music certainly doesn’t reach the same heights as Sato’s approach.
But he impressed me with Heartcatch and it conveyed similar feelings of joy so it seems he is improving. Suite Precure is also great. I really like his style and I’m now looking forward to the Suite movie and the OST 2. Pretty Cure certainly has excellent joyful music and I hope that does not change anytime soon.

Yes, I like Naoki Sato too! His work is great.

but I feel his average work went down in gogo.
If focus with some tracks, he’s still the BEST!

It’s like the coolest thing that I discovered recently. I didn’t want to download it – a lot of scores, lots of tracks on all of them: nah! – I said. But then I downloaded, just to try, one of them. And how awesome is that music! Huge thanks for this share. Huge huge huge:).

Added the new movie score by Sato. Excellent stuff.

While I’m happy you’e sharing this with us, I wish you had left more of the Yes!! scores in. I mean, much of the music is based around Nozomi’s theme but you removed Nozomi’s main theme from the download along with Rin’s. Plus there’s a few excellent orchestral tracks missing from both Yes!! sets. It’s disappointing.

I downloaded a whole collection of Sato’s scores a year ago and I used that for my compilation. I apologize if I left out something, I really thought this was everything Sato scored for Pretty Cure.

Oh, I’m not that big of a fan either. I just realized that when I compared them to an old download I had there was some orchestral/jazz stuff missing. I like the way you re-ordered things but yeah there’s a small amount of Yes!! material missing.

We Are and Splash Star look like they’re complete though.
