But!
Is there a way to someone uploading it to maybe megaupload or rapidsharer or something?
DL-Speed is 8.3 kb/s – sucks.
Don’t want to wait for 9 hours to listen to SMG music. π
Which track isn’t the same that the platinum ost ( when i say the same track it means: the same time and the same song (noise if u prefer)) ?
It would be very helpful lto me if u can put a list of which tracks arent same compared to platinum edition( the meaning of same is put up this paragraph)
Bowser Jr Appears
Beach Bowl Underwater with Shell
Bowser’s Spinning On Shell (Battle Theme with extra instruement)
Get a Grand Star Theme
Get a Power Star Theme
Lose a Life
Game Over
Getting The final Grand Star
Bowser’s Grand Plan
what I meant was most of the tracks have some bits placed together like for the credits it has the ending cutscene music and the credits but in the same track, so it would be hard to give a breakdown of all the tracks and their content.
Thanks for uploading it elsewhere!!
(Thank you)
Could you please give us the list of the tracks and tell us where each of them comes from?
By the way, thanks for your work throughout this whole process!

Where in your ultimate soundtrack are these? I can hear that Game Over and Lose a Life are in the same track. Get the Grand Star Theme is with Grand Star Rescue. The rest I’m not sure of, though I haven’t listened to the whole thing yet.
I think a breakdown of the track listing details would be appreciated. Either way, good job on this.
One thing I’ll point out, the tracks "Bowser’s Fireballs" and "Bowser Defeated" are actually heard in the opening cutscene. "Defeated" plays when the castle’s being stolen. "Fireballs" plays when Kamek blasts Mario. So one could argue that those songs technically belong near the start of the soundtrack, as they are on the CD.
the 26 songs have more noise or it not in the platinum version or its a division of a great theme (like for the bowser battle, bowser jr battle)

Just out of interest, why do the tracks on the CD soundtrack range from 128 to 320 kbps instead of all staying at 320?
Is there any way you can rip the MegaLeg theme where Mario is on the planet itself. It seems there are three versions of this song… Mario on the planet’s grounds, Mario on MegaLeg, and then MegaLeg fast version…
But where the bleepin HECK is the Comet Observatory Waltz!?!??!?!?!
That’s the Theme I REALLY wanted?
Anyone?
Thanks
and THANKS again! We LOVE it!

I believe this is false. There are three versions of MegaLeg’s theme in Peppydude’s ultimate soundtrack, but the first two are identical except for the intro; the first one is as it is heard in the game, with synth trumpets and low piano notes in the intro. The second version, labeled "Stage 2" is the same exact track, only minus the intro trumpets, leaving just a piano intro. The faster "Final Stage" version is also lacking synth trumpets in its intro which it does have in the game.
So apparently, both tracks’ intros are a mix of sequenced and streaming audio. The game disc extraction only consists of streaming audio, and the CD doesn’t include the faster boss theme versions, so… we’ll have to do with a slightly imperfect intro for the faster MegaLeg theme.
Moreover could u put the music when u must clean in 30 seconds the waste with bob omb moreover if it is differents tracks for the second time could u please too upload
Finally where did u find in ur ultimate edtion that track 150 and 149 are on the platinum version?
Hmm… Well, I’ll check it out myself in-game, but the fact still stands that tracks 114b and 114c are missing instruments in their intros (it’s never just piano in the game). With Track 114b it’s no problem because 114 is the same thing with the proper intro. As for 114c, if someone had the proper editing tools I suppose they could take the intro to 114 and edit it into a new intro for 114c (though you’d have to be able to speed it up to match 114c’s faster tempo, and cut out the first two quarter notes).
EDIT: Alright, I checked it out in the game and yeah you’re right. Before climbing onto Megaleg’s leg, it’s just the backing percussion and piano looping; none of the instruments that come in 10 seconds into tracks 114/114b are heard until you’ve climbed aboard.
So what would be perfect is:
Megaleg Part 1 (Planet): Track 114, playing up to 0:09 and looping back to 0:03
Megaleg Part 2 (Aboard Megaleg): Track 114 as it is
Megaleg Part 3 (Critical Hit): Track 114c spliced with a sped-up, properly edited intro from 114
Where is the Galaxy song when u open up the Bowser or Mini Bowser Galaxy
Yeah, I noticed that was missing from the ultimate soundtrack too. The one called "Koopa’s Fort Appears" on the CD.
Could someone just the screenshot below for me to see if my track listing seems to be in the right order [barring the last few jingles obviously].
Danke Shon Peeps! π

Not sure it went by a different name in this list above… but I didn’t see the Kamella Battle theme…
If I had a decent broadband speed I’d zip it up for you all [nearly 400MB you see] but I thought at least this way people could use it as a guideline.
EDIT: But, in the mean time seeing I can’t do that… the least I can do is upload my album art for you to use if you wish.
Here’s the front cover, and once I’ve made the back [depending on if you create the list I have also made] you can also use that.
Enjoy!
Nonetheless, good stuff.
But how about a straight-up rip from the Platinum discs? Without modifications.
So what would be perfect is:
Megaleg Part 1 (Planet): Track 114, playing up to 0:09 and looping back to 0:03
Megaleg Part 2 (Aboard Megaleg): Track 114 as it is
Megaleg Part 3 (Critical Hit): Track 114c spliced with a sped-up, properly edited intro from 114
Within the past month, when some people were giving the rips a go for the first time, I came across this track. Ideally, the method this person took to make the "Megaleg" track did a pretty good job on this track…

I would love to see if peppydude or some other ripper could do a similar performance of this type with even better quality (bitrate, length).
My second request is: the second time we do this job does the song id ifferent if it is could u upload it
Huh… I thought you were the one who did the original disc extraction at first. π
If anyone out there can give a crack at this, I would be greatly appreciative. A looping version of this song with the introduction is ideal. π

Hmm… I guess the Super Mario Galaxy Soundtrack craze is over… no takers. π Oh well…
Having these rips is always nice as a temporary setup, but the real hard copy with booklet and cover is always the best option.
I had rips of Ocarina of Time and Wind Waker, but now I have my real soundtracks with all the features you receive at the same time, hard copies are always the best option. Plus this Galaxy set looks gorgeous.
Hey peppydude,
Does this site have a program to do disc extraction or was the actual disc extraction for the game somewhere on the site?
A feast: the complete rip on the first page of this thread
A steak dinner: Club Nintendo OST Disc 1
Skip to the dessert: Super Mario Galaxy: Musical Voyage
Whoever listens to Musical Voyage, be sure to tell me what you think.
Thanks!
With that said, I’m really glad that this soundtrack has alot of tunes or themes not featured on the Platinum version of the OST(since that one is the most complete one out of the two OSTs) and also the Level Introduction tune(I really like it for some reason).
I’m not trying to flame you, whine or anything like that. I’m simply trying to give constructive criticism on what I think about this soundtrack.
Short version/tl;dr: There’s some themes missing, but I still like this OST because of songs not featured on Platinum OST.
On another note, I also believe this is my first post here. Now, feel honored that my first post was in YOUR thread! *cracks whip* > = )
Some tracks, like the Comet Observatory theme, the Honeyhive Galaxy theme, and the Bowser Jr. battle song, have both versions in one .mp3 file.
The Gateway Galaxy file also has the Grand Star jingle and the "From the Observatory to the Comet" songs from the OST.
So, basically, all the songs ARE here. You just have to look a little harder.
This is probably the best video game soundtrack I’ve ever heard. If they ever DO decide to make a sequel to Galaxy, let’s hope the music in THAT one will be even MORE epic!

Yeah, I actually heard that now. I’m terribly sorry for my post now.
On another note, does anyone else feel a bit of nostalgia in the air when you hear the theme to Bowser’s Star Reactor? I know I did.
And not just that one. *Points to the various remixes of older Mario themes*
But you should Defiantly play the game first, Cuz the sound track is subtly synced to the action in the game. though it has been a while, I’m sure you’ve played It by nao..
But still awesome soundtrack (Hope there’s more like this in the future) π
For your information (and my pleasure, since I hate that site, but I wanted to inform you), the link on filefactory is down.
1) on the galaxy selection screen, the music that plays when you unveil the enemy base. you know, the "dark" music with bowser’s roar on it.
2) the music that plays immediately afterwards, which is seriously different from the normal galaxy selection music. it has a darker sound.
3) the variation of the above music, which adds a short harp sequence.
4) the speed variations of the rolling sequence in Melty Molten Galaxy.
by the way, I already have 2 and 3.
if you have msn, pm me with the email and I’ll send them to you so you can update the rip.
I’ll settle for the Platinum version.
