After following this site for quite some time I’ve decided to contribute to the forums by ripping Both Stream/Sequence Music from Wii/GC and NDS. I’m a picky type of person, and solely listen to music at its highest quality possible.

Its churned me that many who rip music do a "cruddy" job at ripping streams and sequences [not stated to raise ego, just telling the truth is all]. So here I am providing VGM Rips at full quality which by encoding it in FLAC and Mp3 Lame. I’m very professional about my work so everything will be tagged with cover art and in a neat order. Could you do a complete rip of Sonic Colors for Wii? The ones out there, I suspect, may not have everything.

I look at both brendan’s and !!!!’s Sonic Colors rip and it does almost contain a complete music rip. The songs that are missing, that I know of, is the variations of "Aquatic Park" when your underwater. Other than that rest assure all the music is there.

First off its "Allister" Brimble not "Alistair". Second, according to the game credits, yes he’s involved in some music composition [original music such as the menu, mission, shop] along with Anthony Putson.

The other series like sonic, samba etc. are obviously original songs from other games. It took me some hefty amount of time to get the rip the way it is. So I took a shorcut on taggin it by labeling the artist as Allister Brimble. But I have no problem fixing the tags before releasing it here. So go ahead and link me up and I’ll get it all-straightend out.

Good news i’m getting in to "Gamecube Mode" :p so expect some more GC rips besides F-ZERO GX, which sounds crazy to say the least :).

Looking forward to it! BTW, do you rip the channel music from the iso or record it from the game?I use a Wii PC Application called "Customize Mii" which lets you rip Channel Music from .bins straight to .wav.

But first you would need to either:

A) google it for example: "Sonic Unleashed.wad" as some channel forwader wads are floating around the net way illegal to do it this way. This would be the easy way :p.

B) Alternative you would have to use the game’s iso and use another Wii PC Application called "Crap". Which automatically creates channel forwaders for all your games [which reads .wbfs formated hdd, perhaps they changed from the last revision I looked at maybe even .ISO support].Pretty basic to do, but the first time is always hard to understand. Hope that answers your question

Well unfortunately I have something to say to you lads. Due to personal reasons I will not be able to continue ripping music in the near future that means I’m goin to cancel all requests that I had commited [which was only a few nothing big] from the ones in the 1st post of this thread.

I will release a couple of the one’s I started though which include:

-Super Smash Bros. Melee
-F-Zero GX Gamecube + F-Zero GX-AX Official Soundtrack [which I spent $60 off Amazon and was meant to be a ‘Surprise’]
-A revised rip of Sonic Unleashed Wii Rip containing all the cutscenes even the one’s missing on the ost.
-And I know barnaby has been on my ass for an Xbox 360 rip of Sonic & SEGA All-Stars Racing with Banjo Kazooie 🙂 [rumored to contain 48khz sample rate]

After releasing these I will not reupload any of the rips I’ve posted in the VGM Station and again that will be the end. I hate leaving a resign notice because I really enjoyed ripping music the "right way" and all you guys here at the forums. I do hope that you shriners keep contributing your ‘quality’ rips.

Due to my move to the VGM Legacy I’ll drop support of this thread completely.

Also aces4839, the 3DS scene has not seen any major activity for quite some time so that means no 3DS hardfile rips anytime soon.

But of course when they crack the damn console you be sure will start extracting teh contents muhaha 🙂
