I usually picked between these:
1. Monk, Monk, Black Mage, White Mage
Monks are good, 2 are better =), black mage for strongly defended enemies will little magic defense… and white mage for healing
2. Monk, Monk, Monk, Red Mage
three monks, holy ouch O_o, red mage for magic attack and healing…
4. Black Mage Black Mage, White Mage, White Mage
hard at the beginning, gets easier as you go along, as the black mages learn new and stronger spells…
5. White Mage, White Mage, White Mage, White Mage
HARD, still trying to beat the game with this one O_o
Seriously, the Red Mage/Wizard is better used as a physical fighter who can cast Black and White Magic to protect himself and others, but he can’t use the big stuff (like Holy, Cure4, Life2, the Dia spells, and Flare) which the Black and White Wizards can.
Expensive but kick ass.
My friend told me this team sucks according to him mainly because of the Thief and lack of powerful black magic.
Yeah, the thief sucks but not the Ninja. And who cares about Nuke when you have a Knight capable of killing Lich with nearly a single attack ? Give the Masamune to the Red Wizard and you’ve got yourselves two powerful attackers ( Knight with Excalibur and Red Mage with Masamune ), one decent one (Ninja with Sasuke’s Knife or Katana if you prefer) one strong healer (White Wizard) a decent healer with a basic third one (Red Wizard and Knight) , one decent spellcaster (Red Wizard) and a basic one (Ninja), one walking tank (Knight) and two decent defenders (Ninja and Red Wizard). It’s moderately expensive though. The most balanced team in terms of power, balance and cost remains Fighter, Black Belt, White Mage and Black Mage however, but their don’t offer as much variety.
I also like Fighter, Black Mage, Thief and Red Mage because it’s the 8-bit Theater’s Light Warriors ๐
In dedication of 8 Bit Theatre, this is what I have gone for. Much like Evad said. ๐
And it seems to be working so far. Although I am not that far in the game, so we’ll have to wait and see for sure.
I thought that was a well balanced party once
~SPOILER~
you get the class upgrade (Rat tail)
Knight – Ass kicker, fast and strong
Ninja- Quick and low level magic, good weapons also
Black and White Wizards – All Magic, duh
BTW I love fforgins, I’m sorry before the graphics and translation just sucked, Finally the game wasn’t a chore FForgins made it fun.
A Fighter, because they were really good in battle.
A Black Belt, because they helped the fighter do good in battle.
A White Mage, because they can cast healing spells.
Finally, A Black Mage, because they cast cool spells that hurt the enemies.
Why? Because I’m suicidal! Thats why!
But lately I’ve been toying with Fighter, Monk, Red, White… at least in FFO I’ve been toying with them. I shouldn’t have done that money cheat though… >_<
Monk’s are cheap, you don’t need to buy them weapons, in fact, weapons and armor will most likely LOWER their attack and defense, since monk’s attack is always Lvl. x 2 (ie at level 20, attack is 40), and their defense is always equal to their lvl. (ie lvl. 20, defense is 20)… and that is POWERFUL once you get to lvl. 50 =)
Fighter, Fighter, White Mage, Black Mage.
I agree. Back in the day, that was always my favorite choice. My order went Fighter, White Mage, Black Mage, Fighter though.
๐
I went 8-bit theater style >:D w00t w00t
Fighter – Black Mage – Theif – Red Mage
also did BM – BM – BM – BM .. but taht didnt last long MWAHAHAHAHAH
… i kill myself…
Fighter, White Mage, Black Mage, Fighter
lol.
I’ve done the 4x WM challenge, and actually made it… hard as freakin crap, but at least you don’t have to worry about healing in the later portions of the game. It reallly gets a lot easier once you start grabbing items that can cast spells
I’ve done the 3 character challege a few times, and the 2 a couple times. I’ve only managed to beat the game with a lone Knight thus far…single party member challenge = hardcore x_X
…I still have to buy FF Origins…I think i’ll wait until I finish FFTA though.
White Mage, White Mage, White Mage, White Mage.
Why? Because I’m suicidal! Thats why!
But lately I’ve been toying with Fighter, Monk, Red, White… at least in FFO I’ve been toying with them. I shouldn’t have done that money cheat though… >_<
I love the White Mage game. ๐ Especially when I’ve got enough time to complete it. Hehe. I usually use Fighter, Theif, White Mage, Black Mage party. The Fighter is the powerhouse for the first part of the game with the Black Mage for support power. Once you duff Bahamut they can all pull their weight.
I used Warrior, White Mage, Red Mage, and Monk.
With those I did massive damage to the opposition. I got the monk doing 1200 damage at level 28 for an odd reason. But it’s all kewl.
With that team I beat all the enemies in three turns.
Like me.
Therefore, my starting party (when I bought FFO the other day – Yay! And no, I haven’t finished FFTA. I’m taking a break.) is this:
Warrior. Name: Fghter (what’s with the 7 character limit? ARGH)
Black Mage. Name: BM
Red Mage. Name: RM
Thief. Name: Thief.
So, I end up cracking myself up playing the game…even though it’s the serious thing the parody was based off. It’s still cool :p
Square-Enix are dumbo heads.
…but cool dumbo heads…please give me FF10-2 in Aus…
If I’m feeling truly masochistic, then I’ll go for two each of black and white mages. And I usually never get far before I’m frustrated into giving up ๐
This might be the good one, I guess.
I replace the white mage with a red mage quite a bit of the time, though.
Still a dream of mine to beat the game with all white mages. Just to say I did it.
