I know FFVII was highly popular and started many trends, namely introducing many new fans to the series. So how exactly did this whole trend of disliking the game begin?
Honestly, I highly enjoyed the game, regardless of how anyone else feels. The game wasn’t perfect (nothing is) , but I enjoyed the flow of the game.
But some people will still bag out FFVII and its siblings just to be cunts and piss people off.
I don’t really dislike the game. It’s not a great game, but not a bad game either.
What I absolutely hate, is the hordes of fanboys who think Sephiroth is the best game villain ever, Could is the best hero of any game. They pretty much worship FFVII and outside of this game, no RPGs excist.
It’s mainly their narrowmindedness that I totally hate.
But, I agree with the posters above. Fanboys piss off a lot of people, and perhaps there just isn’t anything left to talk about…
"I am my own monster!"
Kneg wins yet another thread!
Now to actually be on-topic. When it comes right down to it, it’s the fankids that drive the backlash. I mean, how are the rest of us to react to "FFVII is the best game ever!!" posts when it wasn’t even the best game that came out that year?
