Random Dog in Advent Children *possible Spoilers*

I could not help but notice that throughout Advent Children there is this Random Gray dog or wolf that appears here and there. IT IS SO WEIRD!
I cant remember it being in the game, i may be wrong. Could someone provide some information as to what the hell it is in the movie for?

But its true, there is a random dog that is in quite a few scenes, associated with Cloud mostly.

The wolf is Cloud’s guilt…when Cloud is finally forgiven the wolf disapears like the guilt that left him….

if the wolf is not zach, then why is he even in the movie at the end? doesn’t it seem a little odd that he would ONLY appear at the end?

Cloud strife101, the "cloudy wolf" that you refer to is most likely worn by cloud in honor of zack, just as the ribbon or string worn on his arm is in honor of aerith.

Zack is in the Lifestream, so why would he appear as a wolf, that’s fucking retarded. It is Cloud’s guilt…

It’s to show that he became part of Lifestream with Aeris… and plus, you hear him talking to Aeris earlier in the movie. In Lifestream

its simple… it is shown everytime he feels like it is his fault that something happened to someone else. somewhere in the movie, he sees the wolf. then the screen turn white and then he appears on some grass field, saying to aerith that he wants to be forgiven!

no like everyone else said its his guilt isnt it a little weird how his guilt is represented by a wolf and he also wears a "Cloud Wolf" emblem thing on his shoulder gaurd…coincidence….i think not

The wolf is a central theme of the movie, I think it’s just that Nomura-san decided to make the wolf represent his guilt cause it would make sense to the viewer.

It may represent both. Why does he feel guilt? Cause of everyone that died. Aeris…Zack…everyone. Zack was his best friend, and the first one he lost after the "Nibellium Incident"

look. it appeared mainly because he felt guilty that Zack died (and Aerith probably.. but i dont like her, so shrew the weak bitch >.<) the wolf appears everytime Cloud fells that it was his fault something happened…

a resume *possible spoilers* (but to hell with them, as said before >_<)

he front side of the COVER on the disk shows the wolf! >.< (this also represents guilt, because he whole movie (almost) Cloud fells guilty about something.

when you first see Clouds old sword, the wolf is standing next to it. later you see that he placed it there, because he felt it was his fault that Aerith and Zack died, and the town ended like it is. (alot of guilt here >_>)

later, after the next best (and coolest =D) fighting sequence in the whole movie, Cloud comes in and finds Tifa knocked out. the geostigma flows out of his hand (geez disgusting >.<) and he falls to the ground with Tifa. you see the wolf appear, here because he fell it is his fault that Tifa ended like that, and that the "orphans" are gone. (the kids he was living with) again this is his guilt it shows.

later when you see his phone you see the wolf standing on the around the surface where he lost his phone. this time, it is ALSO his guilt. you hear almost all his friends has called him, and he fells like it is his fault that everyone was seperated.

this is the last time you see the dog, (the movie also ends pretty much right after that.) but after Cloud is shot, it stands over him, and then it disappears. and so does his guilt 🙂

2. It kinda is his fault that some people died, i mean, would zack have gone and followed sephiroth and gotten himself killed if cloud wasnt there??

Zack didn’t die at the Nibelhiem reactor he died on their way back to Midgar when they were ambushed by SOLDIERs Zack was only injured at the Nibelhiem reactor

I always thought Zack looked like a wolf…thats why the wolf was there. IMO.

I thought it was a joke because marlene asked vincent if he had a phone. Clouds was in the pool and couldn’t call Tifa to get Marlene. So vincent asked where’s the phone shop(whatever) so he could get a phone.

We must embrace the fact that the fan subs could be messed up. And something could have gone wrong in the translation.
Best wait for the US version to come out, that way we can solve all these aparent translation errors.

then she asks Vinny Vincent "do you have it?"

Lol, I have only seen the movie once so I guess I would not know. The reason why I watched it once was because the dialogue was….not impressive and not terribly clever as well. Typical anime drag on dialogue. LOL! My opinion anyway.
