With Zell and Rinoa having such strong limit breaks as well I found it kinda silly.
=/ You might as well have killed off Rinoa and Zell and when at it like that.
*edit*
I just saw that 46 minutes thing. Either nice gamesharking or wtf
Well, the creatures level up as Squall does, so he is fairly difficult at level 100 without very good magic junctioned. If you hardly level up at all throughout the game and you have great magic junctioned, Omega is a piece of cake.
I don’t level up anymore, because the creatures level up with me, and all I need is really good magic in order to have the same stats that I would have if I spent forever actually leveling up when I can just get the magic in a couple of hours at the heven and hell islands. You can avoid leveling up if you have Diablos’s ability called Enc-None. You will only have to verse bosses. Or you can use the Card ability on most creatures. You receive AP and no exp. The highest you absolutely should train to is about 20. And…as for the not having good magic junctioned, I didn’t have the patience to find Ultima and what-not because I hadn’t yet discovered the heaven and hell islands (or the gameshark.)
Ah, I never used Diablo’s ability.
Either way, Omega shouldn’t be that much of a trial if you manuver the battle correctly.
Ah, I never used Diablo’s ability.
You have to pay a ton of gil to use the Ultima drawpoint outside of Shumi Village, and even if you do pay, it usually gives one or two Ultimas. Diablos has a few really good abilities. Other than that, he’s useless until the end of the game.

True.
Remember, the amount of high level magic you draw is dependent on your magic stat. So, a good idea is to junction your character with as many magic buffs as possible (mag+20%, mag+40%, mag+60%) and the best possible magic that junctions with the magic stat. This way, you can draw more high-level magic, like Ultima.
Also, I usually don’t have trouble with gil because I use this handy little refination process.
Buy 100 Tents (or as many as you can)
Use Recovery Med-Ref to make 25 Megapotions
Sell the Megapotions
Without Tonberry’s nice shop abilities, you still net 1000 for every set of 4 tents you buy.
4 tents = 4000 gil (buy price)
4 tents = 1 megapotion
1 megapotion = 5000 gil (sale price)
So, for every 100 tents you buy, refine, and sell, you get a net of 25000.
With Tonberry’s shop abilities, you get even more.
Mesmerize Blades are a nice source of tents as well (1 blade = 20 tents I think) You can go mug a few and/or card a few mesmerizes. Then you can make tons of moolah with little effort.
Also, for a no-level up game, does Devour have similar effects of Card? Where you get no exp. but still get AP? I’ve heard about it somewhere, but I need confirmation.
And, a no-level up game results in less game time. Carding allows battles to become much quicker because carding only requires a percentage of the monster’s health to be depleted.
So basically, my battles go somewhat like this.
Quistis goes into battle with about 500/4000 hp.
Spam O button until I get limit.
Use MicroMissiles once on each enemy.
Use another character to card.
The monsters usually do a maximum of 20 some damage, so I don’t have to worry too much about having to heal my chars. Especially if my other characters have 4000-6000 hp.
But, back on Topic, I’ve heard that the Defend command is handy when countering Terra Break.

Sounds interesting. I’ll have to try that.

Quistis’s MicroMissiles are a lifesaver for No-level up games. ๐
Do I win a prize?
Don’t dream it.
Without the use of invincibility, how can a character be rendered completely invulnerable to physical damage, magical damage, and negative status effects?
WHy are you trying to give away cookie? >:O You some kinda slave owner?!
Form the Thunder Megazord in assualt mode, boy!!
Note that he did not TECHNICALLY do what I asked, but he gave me the two modes that are by far more important. He’s quite the strategist.
Tor, u sux, though :p
Ozma on the other hand….
We’ve been wondering in chat.
It’s your ava :p

By being KO’d? KO’d characters don’t even get a "miss" message when there’s an attack, even if it hits everybody.
Otherwise, I’d have to say that if a character’s attacked while summoning a GF, the GF takes the damage and not the character. I don’t know if that affects negative stati, though. Eden and Diablos were the only two GF’s I ever bothered summoning with anything remotely resembling regularity (nice alliteration on my part, btw).
hahha. No I’m not some kinda slave owner.
Btw here is the situation:(Without any cheats of course^^)
1. I`m use Squall, Irvine and Zell(Since their limit breaks is suitable to my style)
2. I`m cast Triple in the early of battle to Zell
3. Cast Aura On Squall
4. Cast Aura On Irvine
5. Zell cast meltdown, Haste to Squal & Irvine (Since he can magic 3 times)
6. Btw all of my character is fully junctioned (Thanks to Rosetta Stone)
7. I`m begin to attack that creature (hya…..)
8. Omega hit my characters badly..Zell & Irvine Ko`d -_- ( I don`t reveive)
9. Squall on the low HP
10. I use Hero on Squall ( Thanks to his father card > Laguna)
11. I keep the pattern Hero & Limit Breaks until Omega defeated (Squall Only)
12. I earn the "Strongest Fighter Title" in my Menu (hahaha^^)
So when I see The Kratos video, i think it`s a good battle ( Although I`m not agree too for not using Zell & Rinoa to Attack…)

Almost. But, petrification is the answer.
Of course, one could cast esuna or soft on the petrified character and then attack him/her. But, since when was the AI in FFVIII that intelligent?

Except that Petrify is a negative status effect in and of itself. ๐
Here’s another interesting fact.
When a character is put under a status effect. The player can effectively lower the time it takes for the status to fade (if the status is removable with passage of time) by casting haste on the afflicted character.
This can be useful for enemies as well. You can put sleep on a monster and cast slow on it as well. Now the monster will sleep for a longer duration.
You were just in chat and I apologized ;_;;
I really didn’t mean any harm.
Sorry for that misunderstanding. I’m quite new here, so I’m not too familiar with all of the users.
And, to answer your original question, yanneilucia, I know these little things because I once stumbled across an interesting thread in a gamespot forum.
Basically, one of the users there translated the Japanese-only Ultimania guide and was posting his finds in the thread.
WHAT THE HELL ARE THESE SHENANIGANS?!
Sorry for that misunderstanding. I’m quite new here, so I’m not too familiar with all of the users.

Nah It’s ok, but I thought it was weird that you got upset by something like that… anyway, It was a joke directed at myself, because I usually find all of that kind of stuff just by ”over-playing” every game.
