Guardian Forces…

Alrighty, simple question: Where are all the GFs???

I own Shiva, Quezacotl, Ifrit, Siren, Diablos, Alexander, Brothers, Jumbo Cactuar, Cerberus, Carbuncle, Leviathan, Bahamut, Eden, Odin(Gilgamesh). But as I’m perfectionist, I’d like to find as many GFs as possible. I know I can get MiniMog from Chocobo World but it doesn’t matter cause I don’t have Pocket Station so don’t count it here. So, where are rest of them?

I think you’ve missed:

Pandemona
Doomtrain
Tonberry King

Is this the first time you’re playing it through? Have you reached disc 4? If so, you’ll have to start all over again.

You can draw Pandemona from Fujin when you battle her & Raijin in the Balamb hotel, after the Garden has taken flight.

To get Doomtrain you need the Solomon Ring & about 6 steel pipes, these are essential. You must get the Ring from Tear’s Point, it’s near the drawpoint. To get the steel pipes you’ll have to steal them from Wendigo. They are located in the wasteland which surrounds Galbadia Garden.

Last but not least the Tonberry King. This is a real time consumer so be prepared…..
You’ll need to fight 20 Tonberrys before confronting the King. Be sure not to lose a single battle, cuz then you’ll have to fight 20 all over again. So as soon as you’ve fought the King he’ll become your GF. To find these Tonberrys go to Centra Ruins you’ll find them around the fountain.

so your missing pandemona doomtrain and tonberry!!!

tonberry – in the same place were you got gf odin go to the main square and fight 20 tonberries (quistis’s micro missiles are effective against tonberrys) and then the tonberry king will appear fight him and tonberrys yourz!!!
this can take a long time so try not to lose against tonberry king or u gonna have to start again like i did!!!

DOOMTRAIN – Obtain 6 Remedy +, 6 Molbor Tenticles, 6 steel Pipes and Solomon’s Ring from esthar (tears point i think), then use Solomon’s Ring

PANDEMONA – draw from fuijin when u fight her at balamb

PHOENIX – i aint ever had him but i think he can only be used once!!

Phoenix isn’t an actual GF it is an item that u can use in battle to "summon" him. Though it does fire damage and resurects falles allies it doesn’t count as a GF.

<font color=red face="comic sans ms">Actually, Phoenix does count as a GF, it just can’t be juncitoned. There is Odin, Gilgamesh, Phoenix, Boko and Moomba which cannot be junctioned. Moomba can only be got form Chocobo World, and Boko’s power can only be increased there, although you can summon him any time after you’ve been to a chocobo forest by using Gyshal Greens. For Phoenix, if you use a Phoenix Pinion once, it may randomly appear in battle any time after that and revive your characters, although nothing is certain. 🙂

And for Pandemona, I’ll assume you’ve already played the part on disc 2 considering which otehr GF’s you have, so on disc 4 you will be able to draw it from a boss called Red Giant, so look out for it. 😉

i just wish i could get chocobo world somehow, but they won’t release it in the us…
chocobo world has stuff like Ribbons to teach your GF the ribbon ability (immunity to all bad status effects) and Friendship items to summon moombas…

I noe what u mean! It’s the same in the UK, they say you can import it from e-Bay, but I doubt it’ll be worth the price!>_< (Gettin >_< a lot 2day!)

If you’ve got enough GP and the right GF abilities, you can make your own phoenix pinions. Buy as many phoenix downs as you can. I think 100 (maybe fifty, don’t remember) can be changed into one mega phoenix and three mega phoenixes can be changed into one phoenix pinion.

Sweet, my GF list hasn’t ever been as full as it’s now, it’s all thanks to you guys!!! I only miss Doomtrain now. Um, where can I find remedy+? Do I need some certain ability?

To get Remedy+, you’ll need the Level Up Medicine -ability, can’t remember the shorter version *grins* Oh, and Alexander has it, after you’ve learned Med Data (sp?). Eh, and don’t keep this info too trustworthy.. I have holes in my FF memory and I’m tired (*cough*excuses*cough*)

As to the pocket station, they sell on eBay rarely, and when they do they are around 30 bucks. i have seen four on @ once though with the lowest price of $15. Im addicted to eBay 😀

The rest of what you said is right though, your memory isn’t that bad. 😉 Oh, and you need 10 Remedies to get 1 Remedy+, so in order to get Doomtrain, you will need to buy/get a total of 60 Remedies. Not hard, considering they’re sold in virtually every item shop in the world. 😉

And I’ve already played the standalone version of the Chocobo World. The game looks rather… well, shite really. I got bored of it after just a few minutes…
