Tidus Best Sword

Hey whats tidus’s best sword or coolest? =)

Err… Caladbolg has a shit name but looked cool o_o; I forget the abilities it had. Aside from that I just thought the quadrple elemental sword was funky, practically useless but it was still a good concept.

I really liked his ‘Brotherhood." I love its bluishness and it’s as if there’s water inside it.

Yeah, the Brotherhood is the coolest looking sword, although it’s abilties suck. Waterstrike is a waste and could provide disadvantagous, Strength +15% is pretty useful early on, and so is Sensor. But it is far from being the best weapon.

The Caladbolg looks pretty cool too, and after you power it up, it’s pretty awesome. Except the Sun Sigil is like next to impossible to get. I guess the best weapon for Tidus is one you customize yourself.

Break Damage Limit and One MP Cost are a MUST.

I liked the look of the long sword. The sword that Auron gives you at the start in Zanakand. The Brotherhood was cool too.

caldablog is his best lookin and best sword in the game (i think) it just look so cool i still use it even though he gets no AP i’m gonna get it customised soon by the way but it just looks sooooooooo gggggggdddddddd!!!!!!!!!!!

Caladbolg is Tidus’ Celestial Weapon (gives you lush stats), the best weapon in the game for Tidus. Brotherhood looks the best though.

While that Excalibur may be good, it’s certainly not the best. Caladbolg is the best sword overall.

havent seen the cadabolg yet for I cant win the chocobo races other than that id like to say the ascalon that u find in the desert looks the coolest

Definetly the Caladbolg and BrotherHood.

I think the best weapon for anyone would have:

Break Damage Limit
Triple Overdrive
One MP Cost
Counterattack/Evade & Counter/Magic Booster (depending on your style)

Triple AP isn’t all that good because in the end when you have maxed out your characters’ stats, getting thrice as many AP isn’t going to do anything for you.

Although Caladbolg may not always have the best abilities, it is the most powerful sword for Tidus. Well for me, I have Caladbolg’s abilities customized for all characters. Those abilities are good for fighting with a weapon. I also have a magic weapon for all characters, solely for magical purposes:

Break Damage Limit
One MP Cost
Magic Booster
Magic +20%

I think that raises magic power by 80%.

Another argument that says the Caladbolg is better is the strength boost it gives. I don’t know for sure, but there’s something with the sword that like the more HP you have, the more damage you do, or something in that nature.

Celetestial Weapons end up stronger than their customized counterparts, and maybe even those with better abilities, in this way. For instance, I can not be brought about to dodge 200 lightning bolts, so I customized a weapon for Lulu that has all of the abilities of the powered up celestial weapon. Even at 255 STR, her physical attacks only do about 30,000, while the other characters can do 99,999, probably due to their weapons’ aditional boosts.

Yup, Celestial Weapons have special abilities on them that allow them to penetrate defenses. For some characters the damage is dependent on their HP and others on their MP. In fact, the only reason why I consider them the best (and probably why they are in fact "celestial") is due to this extra power. If an enemy had 255 defense and Protect, only the Celestial Weapons would be able to inflict 99,999.

For Tidus, Wakka, Rikku and Kimahri, the less HP (compared to their max HP) they have, the less damage they will do. This is also one of the reasons why it’s better to have a max HP of 9999.

caladbolg is the best. its abilities are what make it the most powerful weapon for tidus in the game. (that and the fact that its a celestial weapon, the makers purposely made it that way.)
